  1. I thought the correct term would be "tosser" nice bikes tho
  2. hell yeah, love it when I'm right even though I was no further help, I should almost give myself a point. Anyway glad to hear your back on the road and don't worry about guzzi's too much its hard to stop them, there are exceptions, I recommend a roper plate, tho I haven't gotten me one yet and need to.
  3. Ah hell look at the bright side, your side stand, rear disc and headers all look fine glad youre alright, also unless you had a lot of money in mods you'll probably make out better on the insurance than if the bike was still good and listed for sale. AND GOOD god don't get that topic brought back up
  4. short answer NO, long answer yes with a but, you can get old guzzi rims from I forget which model but I hear they'll mount up, only problem was I believe they were tube'd rims. Part of the reason spoke tubless are so expenseve is the tubeless part, NOW there is a mod for those old guzzi rims if you dig it up to use a peice of a tire tube, cut it, and then glue it to the rim all the way around the spokes but that is tough. I imagine it would still cost quite a bit for the older spoked tube rims then the joy of modding them and then having to really trust your work you'd be better off buying the Alpina rims for $3k. I WISH I could afford them they really do set the bike off.
  5. too bad they'll cost you almost as much as a used bone stock V11 sport will run you, the whole bike
  6. point awarded in my attempts to thwart the BFG
  7. No, this is a repost, IT WAS POSTED 3 YEARS ago, BY ME. we've had this same bike in a quiz before but it was silver not yellow, I'm suprised BFG didn't find it I don't think he normally likes to post in any thread thats less than a year old http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=4575 if anything I should give anthro a point, and I will.
  8. Ok I was wrong it now runs off Diesel instead of kerosene and makes MORE HP, aprox 420, rediculous. I thought I had read they were going with a more reasonable engine, I was wrong. BFG still can't have a point.
  9. BFG isn't entirely right, they stopped making the Y2K bike as we know it, apparently jet fuel is hard to come by on the street? oh its still made only in a slightly less fuel guzzling, milder BHP Diesel version now, I'm sure it still sounds like a F16 taking off and melts asphalt at stop lights. I think we've had this one before also so NO point for BFG muhaha

why do you have a stupid annoying useless web page? is it so you can get mail @sluggis.com?
  11. I've actually SEEN the movie they're ripping off, its from the movie Untergang, Der, or in the US - The Downfall: Hitler and the End of the Third Reich Its fookin brilliant. The acting is amazing the characters are spot on and it really sucks you into the madness at the end. I HIGHLY recommend the movie. the video as it stands is hilarious, "I'd rather walk"
  12. several good ideas have been posted, he just needs to start taking it apart starting with the easiest possible problem first and he'll be good.
  13. hey I know, I only say that much because you it comes with a second set of body work and the tail on it is handmade plus all the nifty upgrades and 17k mi with soon to be all new fluids, I wouldn't sell it for anything less than 5k because I care too much to let it go for any less. Can't wait to take both my rides to the wheel's of italy this year
  14. you ppl are stir crazy, but alas I will point it, not many quizes these days, apparently we know every motorcycle ever made, maybe we could go with some motorcycle related trivia or something.
  15. yeah they make some fuel line insulation, I'm sure its not REAL fix but I bet it makes vapor lock much less likely and more infrequent, I've had that, also the pinging around 3k in slow traffic on a hot day its not bad tho, and now I have another bike if I need to let the goose cool.
  16. I couldn't find a Rosso Mandello anywhere when I was looking to purchase(note I did find one but it was like 13k at the time if I remember right) so I've slowly made my own, its almost finished although the tail will be black no grey SURE it doesn't have the bubbly black engine paint or suspect single plate clutch but I love my red framed Rosso clone almost finised(body out for paint) although I have it listed for a soft sale(only posted here and the aprilia forum) I have no rush and a waning desire to sell it. I think a complete V11 fully sorted and styled with all the original body work included original silver tank, tail, fender, and 2 seats, one stock and a richmaund for $5500 is a steal but the general public doesn't seem to agree so bugger if I have to keep it, damn heck I even got the CF chin pad, try finding one of those, I dare you I'm hoping for BOTM when its complete, I'll take some high res photo's next to the large stack of grolsch we have in our warehouse and hopefully that'll seal the deal with Jaap.
  17. now I'm no expert but I think this sounds like a pawl spring break, am I right? if I am don't freak out its like $5 to fix
  18. geeze, I thought those Ural's were supposed to last damn near ever. I guess I was wrong there. They look like a fun bike for say communting or if there are no other motorcycles available I don't care what anyone says I kinda like the looks of the flat twins. One of those bigmoneywasters might be a bike for me someday.
  19. OH I took mine to the dealer I bought it from and the service tech came to find me in the shop and took me back to the mechanic's pit and said "how do you get the axle out? I just looked at him and laughed because I have no idea, youre the tech so any shop is as good as the next(for the most part) but really you might want to find a BMW dealer as they'll have shaft drive experience and most likely do a quicker better job of it. Having a shop do it is usally pretty inexpensive I think last time I got tires it was $30 a tire for mounting with the tire off the bike and I think $45 if they're on. Well worth the money to me to have a professional instal of the main two components that you entrust your life with and I will never work on myself for fear of muckin it up are 1) Tires and 2) Brakes, But thats just me. Welcome aboard too

  23. Some factions are still pretty heavy into drugs and/or prostitution but really they're just a image and a brand name these days, like McDonlads anyone can open up shop with a few quid. Anyone have a problem with that we can TCB

if they could find some way to do that from the factory it would appeal to more ppl I bet, it looks cleaner and could be cleaned up even more I imagine. The only downside really is what to do with all that heat, ouch.
  25. I'm jealous of all you m oney bags out there, I'll just live vicariously and pretend my RSVR is a MGS hey I really do wish I had $30K for a track bike but alas, I do not
