  1. I'd rather just have a hill to roll it down
  2. psh, thats just a normal tuesday round here
  3. a few years back I had a Suzuki Maurauder 800 and it came in two colors metallic blue and slightly metallic brown, needless to say I've never seen a brown one except for that one at the dealer. I know brown was bigger in the 70's-80's and I'm perfectly happy if it doesn't come back
  4. this one always gives me a chuckle
  5. God damn it, I'm hooked on that damn ratemycameltoe sight, THANKS
  6. I miss serge, he was a good cock but I believe he met his end according to bob. I dunno I don't want to look through all the pages again to really remember, hopefully he gets a new one

    Stelvio

the bikes looks a LOT better on the road and with a rider than sitting on a turn table on its center stand with too many bright lights on it I'm so sold, 3 yrs and counting till it hits my garage(two if things work out right)
  8. but thats what so great about most mods these days, they design them so anyone can do it(for the most part) otherwise I'd have to go back to school and see if I could find a carbon fiber fabrication class somewhere still might
  9. I believe he was, didn't he alsu have a VERY large bike collection that was/or is, going at auction? maybe I'm thinking of someone else.
  10. A guzzi that is left bone stock is merely a mode of transportation that the driver probably doesn't care as much for, flame me on it but thats what I believe. It feels like the nature of the V11 more so than many other guzzi makes even, is to make it your own. I mean even Enzo can't be faulted for the amount of (I guess you can call it love, you'd have to) love that he has for that monstrosity, and my bike is a bit extreme but its getting toned down as I get older, buy it, ride it and do what needs to be done and maybe a few things that dont.

I'll be getting the silver/white myself. Add those decent looking hard bags and what a sweet ride.

    Stelvio

yeah I'm sold. Is there any word on hard luggage for the Stelvio? I'd like some utalitiarian at least styled boxes to put on there but I haven't seen anything from the factory on it. Also from the video clips I've seen this is the FIRST exhaust I've liked for sound AND looks straight from the factory, the most I would do is try and core it out to let it flow better and be even louder and that is all.
  13. I'm thinking maybe I'm charging too much as that is one CLEAN bike for 5500. Mine has some different upgrades but that black engine is pretty trick and I/m sure expensive to have done. I do like that my silver will never flake off though. I wonder where he got that CF front fender. Thats the only peice missing on my bike. It may not be a bother to you but the eagles being on the wrong way would drive me crazy.

I'd like some fellow forum members recommendations but I am 99% sure that the Stelvio will be not only my next MG but my next motorcycle. I'm only unsure about two things, 1)US price point and 2) probably service and/or unforseen problems, by all means keep my posted on this bike.
  15. it looks like it would eat you, almost oversized for sucha small girl overall
  16. I like the buell one the best, also the shape seems like it was MADE for the V11 dash, installs perfectly and the hardware from buell mates up perfect too, total effort to get this installed 1 socket wrench, one allen wrench + 15min

  18. I'm thinking Diablo rosso's for my RSVR only about 5k miles for the life but I don't care I don't want to fall down again btu I MAY go strada its just the power and weight distribution it doesn't seem as planted as the V11, go figure so I want something stickier, but at the same time the roads are so flat around here I should just get the strada's for the aprilia.
  19. I could use one of those but I have a 2000, more than a few bits wouldn't match up, still be a good resource tho. If no one has claimed it, I call dibs.
  20. My two TOP recommendations for the V11 are as follows the Pirelli Strada or if your roads a litle sketchy or you like a occasional dirt road but still get REALLY good grip on the road and rain is the Pirelli Scorpion Sync, same tires they use on the XB9 city, Buell Ulysses and apparently the Stelvio, worked great for me so far as the life on them has been really good and the grip has been great, they don't lean in as easy as the dragons that were on it(obviously) but for my mostly flat roads I'm happy. here's how they look after about 6k miles, maybe 7? only a small flat spot has developed in the back probably time for new rubber after this season. (that shiny part was right after I did a mini burn out, you know to scrub in the tires and such)

THIS ONE has me more sold on it, I'll take the white one please, thank you. Think I've found my next new guzzi in about 3-4 as I bet it wont land in the US for a year and depending on the price point and the weak american dollar I may want to try and find a used one somewhere over here.
  22. what now? did Dave win some lottery???? or do you mean that nigerian one? cause I'll have you know I won that too, small world.
  23. I've only hit the rev limiter once on the guzzi when I went for a ride on her last fall after I had been ridding the Aprilia for about a month and it scared the crap out of me. I shift the aprilia around 8-9 grand 10 if I'm really on it and the V11 will only let you go like 8.5 I have to say I've done my fair share of small power wheelies but I have a feeling our young friend here did a stand up one down the street as I have no idea how he'd do it on the free way and with how much effort can be required for stunting a guzzi you might want to get a new clutch plate and hand it to your friend, he'll be needin it.
  24. I've been told the Hayabusa, once de-restricted and removed the torq retarder in the ECU slap on some nicer yosh pipes and the thing will rip your arms off at any RPM. These bikes are so powerful they tune them with a torq retarder so it doesn't wheelie too much on take off but probably to give a better level of control to the driver. I almost bought a hayabusa back when I knew nothing about street bikes, . . . then the 3k a year insurance for it changed my mind in a jiff.
  25. the project is still churning, only about 3 years in the works, mostly to due with wanting to ride it more than work on it and my lack of funds for her but she's getting it on soon.
