  1. took me awhile with the new interface, but I got'er
  2. it can't be as simple as a kawi? kan it?
  3. I don't have Ohlins, See, I'd pay that much for a standard Guzzi one, hey paul, know of any places???? I've looked, maybe not hard enough but I'm not finding much that isn't through the roof.
  4. oh, thats SO a bultaco if I ever saw one.
  5. PSh, all the way up to odd-5 if I'm not mistaken I think 06 is when they opted for radials. I wouldn't mind a Carbon Fiber front fender for my Goose, but they're either 1 not available or 2- $3-$500 depending on the exchange and so forth. hey paul, you make fenders?, but alas I bet your fee and the exchange would make the Guzzi one seem cheap
  6. well I understood milwakee wisconsin, but could someone put up some subtitles???
  7. thats it, I'm going with primo, well would midgrade be ok? I usually run midgrade as I've read a few places that all primo does is waste gas but yet I don't like running the lowend, I just go midgrade most of the time with the cheap stuff or not in hot weather I get some pinging but really I think I have some minor detonation in rush hour as it pops and stutters a little bit if I sit in a 90deg day bumper to bumper too long
  8. a pipe welder could make you a crossover pretty easily actually, I just can't imagine it being any cheaper than the FBF one I got for $250, they might be more now but they changed them to be the same as the stucchi, ALSO for the picture just disconnect the canister and then connect the throttle bodies together with a peice of the hose you just removed and from the tank just run the section of hose down behind the engine where the overflow goes, well thats as far as I know, will want to talk to peter roper or greg field they'll have a lot better info than what I got as these steps where already done when I bought the bike.

OK the side view looks better than the front but can someone tell me, WHERE the hell is the exhaust??
  10. Honda? what is that exactly, that isn't a stock motor is it? almost looks like its got a super charger mounted on the side but then, I could be way off and its just the way they useda look. Haven't seen any old ones up close and I'm not the most mechanical. I'm sure this is a trick question.

  12. hey falco, you look familiar some how... anyway I seem to have a very odd tank myself the original is at least a gallon larger and the range was about 180 everytime and with the new tank it looks and feels more narrow, its one year newer off a rosso mandello and thats it. I think my tank might have permenatly expanded but it came that way with 3800 mi, could this have happend so soon? some have speculated its the gas or additives smeone might use can damage or cause the tank to expand, as for tank suck, or over pressurizing whichever you have these things have a very similar carbon canister emissions setup that the Aprilia do, remove that and use a section of hose and connect the TB's together, there is something else you need to do like reroute the overflow hose or something I forget I know someone will be able to help you but that should fix that, if you have actual tank suck and its not running right get some insulated fuel line, or insulate your fuel lines as they kinda wrap around and inbetween the heads and it gets kinda hot in there. I think thats it. I wonder if I send my old tank to a professional if they could tell me whats the deal with it, how it could be that far out of spec, I mean the forks hit the old tank b4 the lock and they dont with the new one.

I'm thinking of selling my V11 for one of these, I thought I would never sell my V11 but this looks like everything I want, off-road capable(maybe not proficent but capable) with a higher more relaxed BMW GS'esq riding position with a tall windscreen AND the 1200 8V!!!!!!! I think it could be prettier but I'm really starting to like this bike, I bet its LOADS better than the stupid ulysses. I dunno but I'm smitten and would be the perfect compliment to my riding style i.e. roads are just a sugguestion.
  14. there is an Aprilia guy that can do anything, he is rediculous at the level of skill he has shown in recreating graphics. I would give him a try his name is CKruzel on the AF1 aprilia board and is more than famous in the Aprilia Community, and seeing as a guzzi is merely a cousin I bet he'd be more than willing to help. His graphics are MCUH cheaper than $150. I got a bunch of neat decals for $25.
  15. I rode the guzzi for a bit yesterday after not having it out for a month, (gas line was loose from the last time I took the tank off and sprayed gas EVERYWHERE) but the ride was so completely different from the Aprilia I couldn't believe it, going from the Guzzi to the Aprilia didn't feel as weird as visa versa. I mean the Guzzi felt heavy, sluggish, and hard to turn. I couldn't lift the wheel with just the throttle and I Felt like it needed more RPM's. The riding position even with clipons felt more like a sport tourer/cruiser tho I will say that, and my RMaund seat was much squishier. All that being said I can't wait to finish off the painting over the winter. I'm going to get a cheap but decent airgun and go nuts in the basement with a glossy black tail and fender then put on some stock V11sport stickers on each side and topcoat it. I still thing the guzzi feels more solid(it should at twice the weight ) and definatly has a lot of soul. Looking closer to the original tank and this new one I think their dimensions are different and I'm going to go around with a tape measure to see just how much, the old one held more fuel but also got hit by the forks on each side. These twins are more like 3rd cousins twice removed than brothers and that suits me just fine. Its funny all the compliments I get about the Aprilia are usually from people that know very little about motorcycles and the Guzzi I get less compliments but they are from people who know a lot more about bikes than I do.
  16. ah crap, I figure I might as well post here b4 jaap sends it to the archives no matter where you go ppl are "basically" the same and even a jew could find something in common with a muslim as the muslim could find something in common with the christian, it just comes down to well, what exactly where they talking about? if it was Moto Guzzi motorcycles I bet they'd get along great, if its who the messiah is well, heads might roll. do you get what I'm sayin here.
  17. yeah its no enduro, its a dual-purpose and more like 80% road by the looks of it.

Yes, I have Scorpion Syncs and they ROCK, the grip is just amazing, I can scrap the side stand and the footpeg,on the non sidestand side They even work pretty well on gravel and whatnot, nothing works well with sand on the roadway and I mean nothin. But in the grass(a lil) and gravel they feel fine but on the road they feel like glue, wet they're good too but not as good as the Metzelers on the RSVR.
  19. I thought those 650's most if not all the KTM's and Aprilia(not sure about the new off road line) were all Rotax, am I a lil off here? I know the LC8 and V990 are rotax, if not for much longer.
  20. good deal, I'll go with those and probably get them from you Greg when mine are worn, NOW here is the 6 million dollar question, what is the appropriate pad wear is acceptable, I.E. When SHOULD you replace them? I have 17000 and almost never use my rear so those are still just ok, could use replacing but then it hardly gets used(only in more serious braking situations) but I'm thinking I'll need to change them all at once at some point here.

I like it alot, might be in my future, I'd take it over that 12gs peice of cruap, I heard the GS handles well when its running, plus with the stelvio you know its a been looking for a good dual purpose, hopefully it lands in the states for a reasonable price. Funny, it has the same tires I currently have on my V11sport, think I sould try and take thje V11 offroad???? NAH.
  22. Its not easy, so Best of luck to you, might want to get new handle bars if I'm not mistaken and you'll need all kinds of fastening expertise, ALSO you will need the lemans headlight unit as the coppa's headlight housing is much too large.
  23. yeah, but they haven't been good since the 80's
  24. I dunno, the V11 might have wheelied higher like the MGS in the tora pic but if you notice the rider has a lil meat on them bones, might not be motogp material I make fun, but I'm definatly not even qualified to keep up with anyone with full leathers.
  25. not to pick on turpin your just the last post but DAMN it ppl , stop making me look here and getting my hopes up and seeing no new boobs, NEW rule, no posting anything in here without some boob-age at the end of it at least. I'll take a nip slip or just some great looking cans in a bakini or bra. its not too much to ask 9 out of 10 doctors can't be wrong.
