DeBenGuzzi replied to Alex-Corsa's topic in Special place for banter and conversation
OMG I want one so bad, sorry I've been out riding, did 350mi couple days ago and another 100 communting since then I so wantie wantie, lemme know what you need from me so I can get a suitable skull cracka. -
you could always collect these? you can wear'em everyday and they're cheap, go ahead and splurge.
-
180 Euro's???? its not THAT much cheaper, but it sure does LOOK cheaper I luv my G.Jens desinger watch only thing I worry about is finding a new band as nice as the one it comes with, when I wear it out in 10-15 thousand miles
-
if you start playing with it, you'll be sorrrrrwie. Even if you don't, take it off once in a great moon and clean it or just go and get a couple o-rings cause eventually the thing will leak. It will.
-
18000 miles, bought it with 3800. Only 1 leaky fork seal and replaced the relays, no other problems. Well I've had some, but I caused them.

150143717085 1980 Moto Guzzi : G2 Vehicle Description "As you roar up to the traffic light, leaving behind a trail of noxious 2 stroke fumes. All eyes are upon you as you rev this powerhouse. Holding it's own against much much bigger bikes it will draw attention at any stop sign or traffic light you pull up to. As the light turns green and the other bikes take off, you stall. Not to worry, as you start to pedal the spectators clap and laugh- about half way through the intersection the engine catches and you roar up to the top speed of 28 MPH (more if you weigh less than 275 lbs). This bike oozes machismo, while riding it no-one will ever question the need for Viagra. In addition you can ride for up to 9 months on a single tank of gas (especially if like me you don't ride it much) A must for all Guzzi owners-as a second bike if your friends want to come for a ride (you'll see them at the destination in about 6 days) or even as a coffee table converation piece-please drain the gas before attempting this! You need it! Please bid now! The bike is a G2 (somewhere between a robin and a G5) it starts stops and makes a generally offensive odor when driving. At 419 original miles it qualifies as a true barn find-I found it in my barn today and said I must get this up on Ebay. If you are interested I also have a Robin (the predecessor). What you see is what you get-some elbow grease needed, tires hold air and are useable- I have some Pirelli replacements available at an additional cost. As for title, Maine is a non-title state for these types of things. So you'll get a Bill of Sale. Oh and I forgot to mention (more than once) that the bike is a certified babe magnet-while looking at you riding this most women will think he must be carrying quite a load to be able to be seen on such a thing" Ad's like this make it all worth it.

GOD I wish I had the money right now, But we've had so many unforseen expenses lately I'm tapped. I'm going to hope I can get a set from you this fall. I think this would be perfect for my 6'3" frame as my 26 year old knee's be gettin old. Unlike some others I've got ape arms and the 2000 clip ons seem almost as high as the later raised bars to me and I'm fine with leaving those in place. We're talking about $500 here is that shipped? I guess I don't quite get youre price breakdown.

there is a valkenburg park not far from my house, we meeting there? actually think its von valkenburg but I could be wrong.
-
psh coulda paid 6 at HD, you got screwed if they weren't so cheap and readily available I'd just send you one.
-
thats why those are still in the back of my mind and if one comes up at a great price with ohlins I may snatch that up as my second bike. I've NEVER heard anything bad about them put some tigcrafts on them and they sound SICK, NOW their SXV 5.5's on the other hand . . .

I've said it b4 but We're not ALL old salts. I'm a modest 26 and have had my guzzi for just over 3 years now if I'm not mistaken as for milage I think I need to do something possibly about the sensor I took out of my airbox because depending on the weather my milage is all over the place. I get about 32-42 mpg sometimes my fuel light comes on at 130mi and sometimes as high as 170, once at 180. Getting that high without a light makes me worried the light is out although the new tank I installed has to be slightly smaller I think my old tank must have been made out of spec or the previous owner but something in there that deformed the tank and made it bigger
-
that red would match my tank but I'm not looking to spend $60 on half a fender when I'm trying to find a decent CF one. might do some good, haha if he bought that and shipped it to me then I'd ship him the green one, it has a small scratch but its FAR from cracked, can't really see the scratch but up close. is that painted to match the rosso mandello red?
-
try jigglin the cable, and if you can take it off and reroute the cable to have less bends, that might fix it for a good while till you can maybe get a new one but I hear its more the tiny gear at the end of the cable that gets stripped out rather than the cable breaking. Might want to take it off at the speedo and see, DON'T lose anything or you WILL need new stuff.
-
is it just the front half thats cracked? if so, if I can get a carbon fiber one I'll send you the front half of the green one for like $25 shipped priority, I'm just having a heck of a time finding a CF fender thats NOT $300+
-
Not that one, not possible, good luck messing up that big lump with any exhaust can you can dream up, think about it, quat-d's mistrals termi's anything, HELL you can run with NO cans and be ok, like said you just need to have it tuned to run right after the cans, they're not very important in themselves. I've been thinking of just going without cans altogether for the up coming wheels of italy well I won't, but wouldn't that be something. Take a look around and at whats inside the cans, they're not filled with magic well maybe the quat-d's are
-
why? you got a carbon fiber one? I'll trade ya.

well I thought it was hilarious, and I have no idea what albert heijn is, I assume a big grocery store in holland? hmm. sounds like fun. -
this sounds WAY better to my american iron surrounded ears. The harley guys wouldn't know WHAT to think of me pulling up. I should try this sometime. http://youtube.com/watch?v=-UOaX1drjbw

anything is possible. Guzzi cans are the same as others just in the right diameter and angles(sorta) to mount up without modifications(if youre lucky) Go ahead but if they're not the right diameter you'll have even more fun with the connection pipe.

my FBF xover has pefect welds and is the same material as used for the headers(stainless? ) only maybe slightly heavier gauge. Cheaper than stucci too, I'm suprised more ppl didn't go with them.
-
If the M4's looked this hot when I got my exhasut I wouldn't have FBF right now, I should look at snagging up a set of the Ti's for down the line, carbon don't last forever, or so I'm told. although that would require money and all.
-
I think thats because of 2 reasons 1 its an outdoor shot and 2 she actually has a lot of freckals, I've seen other pics of her and he skin isn't that uniform perfect but she actually looks hotter to me without all that air brushing. I don't think they had to smooth anything out, her bod is tight enough to bounce quaters off.
