I know we've talked about these but I was thinking YA know, if ya got the whole exhaust black ceramic coated to match it would look a lot better, almost slick I might do these a lil down the road if I can ever find'em and just sell my FBF's
-
damnit, thats what I would have wanted. but I also like the direction I'm headed. maybe I'll buy someone else's coppa lemans down the road to add to the stable
-
Ebay, I may go with them for awhile as they are cheap, like $20 for the pair until I can get what I really want and that is to route my turn signals through the twin tail lights, but I need someone a little more electronically inclined to do that with, good thing I know a few ppl.

I got it off ebay but its for a Buell S1/M2 lightning/cyclone, I know they used to be readily available as the buell guys are nutzo for CF. I think it cost me $90 maybe a little less and fits like it was meant to be there. I think you can pick up a new one from some place in california for $130 if I remember right. lockhart phillips made one too. here's a bright blue paintable one on ebay for $10 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Buell-Cyclo...1QQcmdZViewItem

This is a work in progress and I updated some pics in the middle with the bike outside and a mostly green front fender, I'm going to leave it that way until I get ahold of a carbon fiber one and at some point I'm paint the tail to match the tank most likely. Its not finished, may never be 'finished' but then if I Was done with the bike I'd want a new one so this is nice.

Holy christ, they better be made of solid gold. for $150 and the size of a quata I was thinking one of these two so far or maybe this any other ideas?
-
I'd like some LED turn signals to go under or next to my plate, any ideas for somethin nice, small and bright?

midgets? definatly midgets. -
I plan to replace them so all the better, but I about bottomed out the rear to see if that would happen and they don't touch. I want smaller LED ones to go back there that don't stand out but light up bright.
-
how do you sync the Tb's exactly? I should do that.
-
I don't know what turn signals to go with but I'd like something smaller, the stock ones look worse out to the sides than down like this, trust me. I made a nice mud guard back there out of a thick potting bucket and some zip ties The engine has looked so clean in a long time, who knew dumping a gallon or so of gas all over it would clean it right up

That is going to be soooo freaking awesome, What you describe would have been my ideal guzzi, I hate you. When I got my bike I wasn't able to score a lemans for my budget anywhere in the country I mean they just came out, then latter I saw the Coppa and fell in love but I already had my moderatly modified Guzzi and I'm sure after I see what you've done this will really make my bike look like chop seuy. but give us lots of pics and maybe let me have first dibs if you sell it

What they said is correct and there is a nice tutorial out there with pics that I Think Lex put together. I think the consensus is valves about every 10,000 but some do it more often some less often but at least check the gap on them and then some ppl change their oil every 2k so it really depends on how much you like working on your bike and how good you are at it. Like they said remove the altenator cover and spin the engine with a socket while looking at the guide hole on the side with a flashlight. I found it took me 2 hours the first time but I also retorqed the heads, about a hour and a half for the left side and about 30 min for the right and I'm sure next time the whole job will take no more than 45 min and less if I don't retorq the heads. I just didn't know what I was doing. The bike runs smoother now. I think I went with .1 on both sides if I can remember right I did it last spring. I hope some of this helps. Did you use the tutorial thats online?

this is evil. EVIL its like a suitcase minibike I guess Sears 49cc -
NO matter what you do some will love it and some will hate it I think I've gotten decent reviews all things considered. I really thought it was going to be worse. I can't wait to get out and ride this beast already.

The thing with that is other than the rosso corsa or the first lemans none of the tails match the tank, they're just black or grey even on the coppa they only worry about the tanks. So even Guzzi lacks continuity since the original V11 years. and Raz, you mean paint it the original silver it was?
-
maybe a Rosso red hugger and a guzzi green front fender, hell I already have the front half of a green fender dang nabbit. Don't know how I would find a back half and having half a fender painted to match would be impossible, maybe paint the whole fender to match the tail so the bike would basically be a green redframe with a Rosso Tank that started out life as a silver sport. This bike has some identiy crisises going on. OH BTW FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DON'T FORGET TO LOOK AND MAKE SURE THE 'O' RING UNDER THE PETCOCK THINGY IS STILL IN PLACE BEFORE ADDING FUEL. I had to do emergency surgery to stop the bleeding, lost about a gallon on the floor in the process. but she runs like a top and holds her juice now.

I'm fine, I originally wanted a CF tail and contacted paul about getting one but then this sweet already modified tail presented itself for a good price and I couldn't pass it up. The tail has been painted to match the guzzi green but it isn't a perfect match and it came that way. The tank is a stock Rosso Mandello red tank the seat is a rich maund special and the front fender will soon be CF I hope I'd also like to pick up a CF seat hugger or even a Rosso Mandello red hugger. I think those would really make the bike flow a little better and the wife likes the red/green combo as do some of my friends so I'm not going to change the tail color (for a couple years) but I'll have it painted eventually and probably black, the present in your face scheme is here to stay for a little while.
-
funny you say that, I have one but its only the front half, I didn't realize it didn't come with the back half when I got it on ebay for cheap. anyone have a green back half of a fender? I'm lost because I feel the same way that the bike isn't "flowing" as much as I'd like it to and I can't figure out what to change and what to change it too. The front fender has to be changed either all green or Carbon will help drastically, secondly I could maybe get a belly guard thing or maybe get the seat recovered(AGAIN) I love the tail lights and the tail color but I think I'm going to get that carbon front fender and maybe look at a new seat, I'm so close it hurts. I know some ppl won't like anything I do because they only like all black, or only the true rosso or the lemans and not the sport but piss on it I can take critizism with some salt and its constructive to give me a direction to finish my project and then say, This is my bike, and I LIKE IT so bite me. anyone seen a Carbon fiber fender or at least a green one, I think it'd be even sillier to have a half green half silver fender
-
I'm going to get a CF front fender ppl, and probably a CF hugger, its not done. The tail and tank go together alright in person and the colors don't have to be in the order of a flag, am I supposed to hold up a flag as a stencil? I think not. It IS a bike of other bike parts BUT besides the ppl here, who's gonna know? I may paint the tail section Tenni Green but I really like that color green, Painting the tank is right out maybe it would give the bike more character to get the CF fender sooner than later. I've gotten slightly better reviews than enzo, and who had that one that looked like a real christmas card? and then the lime green one with red wheels? I'll go with my tastes and the tank stays, the seat stays (unless I get it recovered Again) but I'll ponder on the tail color.
-
Tell me what you think, good, bad, other. I'm still looking for a CF front fender to match my CF flyscreen, chin pad, and cans if anyone knows a cheap place to pick one up. The rearend isn't finished I still need to mount my plate and some turn signals as I am not skilled enough to wire my turn signals into my tail, besides they'll just barely be sticking out the sides of the plate. I think its unique and looks really good inperson, and in the sun with the fancy paints. PS don't mind the garage it'll be cleaned up this spring but this project was far more important to me.
-
Paul or someone had posted a really nice alternative that was still analog but with tricky bits and a nicer finish it had the tach and speed in one and I can't remember which one it was but I liked it. The one posted here is too flashy and bright for a V11

so many have used his service I think this should be pinned as well, at least for a little while, if anything it can be unpinned.
