  1. yeah but RSV's have one of the highest reliability marks of any superbike, I'm looking at a superbike I have a sportbike, they are not one in the same, a superbike to a sport bike is like a cruiser to a sport, apples and oranges, I have my apple a day I want a orange once in awhile
  2. but if you try to fight wars that way you will never win, Non-combatant casualties are unfortounate but unavoidable so if you just try to take out someone who is shooting at you then it is too late. I'm not saying shoot first ask questions, or let god sort it out, but if you tip toe through a battle field youre setting yourself up for failure. Veitnam was somewhat like that and we lost out big time, a worthless war. Iraq is even worse. Watch Blackhawk Down to see the frustration of the US troops, in a war you need to be decisive and We(America) should get something done or just get out. which is kind of contradictory to your final statement in politicians actually make it harder for the troops to get anything done by making everything more complicated. The problem is politicians treat their idea of a solutions as being easy. If you have a sniper in a tower camping out with his family do you take out the tower, or try to storm it? either one is messy and the blame should be put on the combatant for getting his family involved many of the Iraqi ppl think we're like the british imposing our rule and they're the american revolutionaries so there are no simple answers, who is right? I don't know anymore I used to think the US now I think we should have left well enough alone after afganistan, I personally think taking out Sadam was somewhat of a grudge GW had after his dad only went halfway, maybe GB should have finished the job the first time around
  3. Hmm my last name is Martin, and I have no Idea what happend to that image, no idea at all I think someone got a Golden Bodge point for a similar image some time back
  4. Argh, thats just stupid, why do they shoot themselves in the foot. At least bring SOME in, make it really chic and exclusive but no
  5. WELL duh, but I mean I'm not going to hold my breath. I'd take a nice road legal MGS-01 anyday, I'd really like to just modify a trackbike, I like the old 4v heads better I can dream, I can't on the otherhand produce about $30k with mods and shipping to make it happen
  6. I'm leaning 1098 or RSVR but aprilia is no better off than Guzzi so that Ducati looks nicer and nicer, but you get so much more for your money with a Aprilia and I don't have a lot of money lately, dang kids
  7. you know whats funny about this, the author doesn't know either, he wants to know
  8. yeah,I knew that
  9. we used to have 3 or 4 guzzi dealers in MN and now I'm not sure if there is even one, I think they've all dropped or folded I think moto primo might still be helpful they have a guy that works there that can fix anything.
  10. Holy CRAP why didn't other companies think of this!!! you don't have to make a bike, just whip out a replica of one and see if anyone lines up, the only thing is most companies that try this usually HAVE a motor ready but aren't sure on the style, seems the opposite here
  11. a little over the top, but thats what I was getting at with my stupid song posting of GnR I was originally going to post welcome to the jungle but it was more about sex and drugs, I wanted to find that one song that went, "I used to love her, but I had to kill her" but I couldn't find it anyway thanks for throwing some cold water on us.
  12. I'll give out a point for this one
  13. how, um would I go about adjusting said settings? I mean I can't really ride around with a screw driver and click it on the fly, ....or can I no no I can't
  14. I know the one, but I like the GnR version better, heck half of GnR's supposid "hits" are retreads but nobody rocks harder, well maybe Dethklok
  15. I agree, if my goose gets totaled I'll get the 1200 sport and remove the whole mud flap, hopefully FBF will whip up a eliminator kit for me anyone heard any prices on these?
  16. I live in Crystal(pronounced CRIS-taal ) which is less than 10miles from downtown, by robbinsdale, new hope, brooklyn center, and actually pretty close to the city limits of Minneapolis also. basically I stick to the Northwest Suburbs but with my current job I have a pretty good knowledge of the whole twin cities, Drop me a line when you get into town and we can get some Coffee at Bettys then ride along the river a little ways and the campus then out towards redwing(like the shoes, they're made there) all the good roads are down towards winona and up towards duluth. either one over an hour ride away.
  17. everyone else is posting songs because I don't know why, well this reminds me of live and let die by guns and roses. "Live & Let Die" When you were young and your heart was an open book You used to say live and let live you know you did you know you did you know you did But if this ever changin world in which we live in Makes you give in and cry Say live and let die Live and let die What does it matter to ya When ya got a job to do Ya got to do it well You got to give the other fella hell You used to say live and let live you know you did you know you did you know you did But if this ever changin world in which we live in Makes you give in and cry Say live and let die Live and let die
  18. never eard of indexing and thoght you must have meant dual plugs yup, learn something new everyday
  19. I didn't realize, cedar is somewhat inexpensive here, considering some ppl build whole decks out of the stuff. its not cheap but certainly not that expensive. friend of mine built a neat 12ft cedar strip boat. your idea sounds great too put that bulb on a timer and save on some electric as well
  20. maybe buy some shingles and put a real roof on dat bich could always get some cedar and maybe line the inside ceiling with it. the really cheap stuff, cedar works wonders, soaks up lots of water and doesn't promote mold or bacteria, hear it helps keep bugs away too. then your roof would be less likely to drip. or so I imagine.
  21. you should trade me your blue resivor covers for my gold ones. I think that swap would make both look just a lil bit better as the gold is real close to the ohlins gold. I got'em thinking gold series brakes but they don't really fit the bike I should have gone silver or red, but blue is aight too. ah well if you don wanna thats fine too. maybe I'll just sell these outright to anyone who wants'em and get the red or silver ones, just that gold is not right on my scheme, and when I install the rosso mandello tank I got and undecided tail color I don't know.
  22. I used to do that, but I'd come right back and realize I was dumb. I've since grown up, well mostly.
  23. well, how much money do you have? dual plugs isn't needed. gains are unknown
  24. well good thing lots of ppl are getting theirs stolen, I guess there's money in them there cats. who knew? Catalytic converters stolen for precious metals
