  1. It would be a no brainer to get a MGS01 but two things. price! and where? they are not cheap in the least and my budget is like 8-10K but I can get a good low miles many extra 999 with everything I Want for 10K plus $500 for shipping the new 1098 is already devaluing the bike, and even more when it launches I'm sure. I don't like the looks of the ST3's tho they are nice bikes now here's a question what the hell is the testteretta engine??? how is this different from their other offerings? is it like the 2v to 4v guzzi engine kinda thing? is it the testteretta that drains the bank account and not their other engine? I'm dumb and obviously haven't done enough research.
  2. Point Given, all my gawkin at ducks, I mean I turn my back for two minutes and everyones getting points left and right.
  3. sorry looking at ducati's, two points are fine if someone can get them. Youre eligible for a stumper after yesterday but I'll set the unoffical stumper date to this friday nothing by friday and you get a coveted stump!
  4. the standard 999 doesn't have radial brakes should be just like ours with quicker bite. I'm really smitten for Ducati's but like its been said the money pit syndrome scares me and I don't make nearly as much as most of the ppl on that ducati forum. What about MV Agusta 750's 2000-03'ish bikes? I love their sound and even more their looks, I've heard they are more reliable and have cheaper service, any truth? the MV's are a smidge ahead of my love afair with ducks they are just much harder to come by. and if I got a ducati I'd talk to the guys at manley and see what kind deals they offer for service or go with a third party mechanic(and myself) for work on it. a ducati dealer + Service to said Ducati = RAPE!
  5. I think youre right, so I won't worry about it too much. I just hope I don't really love the look of the new 1098's, I really like the looks of the 998's and 996's especially the matrix edition BUT the ergo's are less than desirable, they are even less reliable and the prices have been shooting back up.
  6. I really don't see what your other(better) options would be, Harley sure but they are slow and with bags, gear and riders you're talking a lot of dough just to get a little get up and go. Get the Lemans it will look meatier deflect the wind better and all that. I wish I had the lemans sometimes myself I'm a big fella, well 230 but I look like 260 I think.
  7. I hear you can walk the street with your money taped to your back and make it through the seediest parts of town right now, they are getting the olympics and have instituted a "crimes against forigners means death" contingincy plan to clean up their act. I guess the rules we got here aint so bad eh? I mean AIYEEE rrrrr.
  8. My wife is fine with me getting a second bike but she wants me to wait till next season, and she wants me to get a harley or a BMW kinda bike. She says she doesn't like the Ducati, doesn't know why just doesn't, I think thats crazy talk. I can get a harley when I'm 30! much too young to ride a hog I recon. you see the problem with kids today is they don't have proper values.
  9. Belfast, you prove once again to be a vast wealth of fun to be had on the intronet, Showing once again that this little box isn't just for porn anymore, well not exclusively.
  10. The only flaw I could find was that its not yellow(or mono but has cowl!!!!) I'm pulling me hair out I was looking more in the spring and that always happens you start looking and find the perfect bike. I know more will come along the pipe but I've been loosly looking for a few months at these and never seen such a great deal. The only other problem is that its in NY and I don't think I could afford to have it shipped on top of the $10,500 very reasonable asking price. http://www.ducati.ms/forums/showthread.php?t=11666 it doesn't look like it but he put a good 10k into I imagine. Some Ducati owners have way too much money to throw around. One guy has a deposit on a Desmoducciwhatever RR and isn't sure if he wants that much power. Most of the members on that board ride 999R's have 6 bikes and have deposits on the new unvieled 1098 that will be shown in late october?
  11. its gone past a req for a stumper, I'll let it stretch on till tomorrow, (believe me I've looked and even tried to cheat) but could close it out today if BMG is so inclined
  12. hmm I have those same pods!! wow small world, and did you notice you have quite the nicker in your nacker there. (a dent in your muff)
  13. its quite funny, you need quicktime I assume? and Antonnio!!!!! do you perhaps have a picture to prove your statement? as fro the states, each state and each area is different, florida has way more problems then say wisconsin Next time come to Minnesota we have some of the best beer in the country(Graint belt Premium, Summit, Shells, James Page) and everyone is pretty laid back. we won't tell you not to do something. just strongly recommend it you can drive along a ton of the north shore and it rivals the coasts or an art museum cherrys and spoons, I think it means something I could go on but on second thought it really sucks here, I want to move back to Oregon
  14. you are not helping my argument At least Guzzi has a warranty. AND a long one. Many bikes only have a year or limited mileage ones. I like aprilia's warranty that looks promising.... oh wait. anyone have any experience with Ducati warranty?
  15. oh WE got a picture of you. http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?...ost&id=2698 someone can repost it in here if they are so inclined. myself personally am much too tired and lazy. (longgg day)
  16. I'm also 6'3" 225 I have the V11 sport naked and find that my butt gives out b4 my knees, I can ride the bike about 100mi in a sitting. Not too bad I think for a sport oriented bike(clip ons, higherish pegs, no wind protection) I've seen worse, I.E. some ducati's I wouldn't go near! although BMW's seem to offer loads of room
  17. Ummm, don't know how to tell you this. but have you been to a BMW site? yeah I think you should go check some out. Then you come back here and compare. I think BMW's get wayyyyyyy more bad press, they are just a MUCH larger company. MUCH larger. like comparing BMW cars to saabs. Hard to do. good luck with your BMW, lets hope she doesn't spew her oil. MG has its warranty issues(as of late) but at least they don't try and blame you for everything.
  18. OH yeah. just unscrew the stock bar ends slide them out, slide in the manics and tighten down the screw. takes about 30 seconds each side. Couldn't be any easier than if they threaded into the bars like the stock ones. But I have even removed mine a couple times for various reasons and they still hold in fine, super tight. The guy at manic said he could sell me some new expansion nuts for cheap if I actually wear them out too. The guys there are great. they also took a hard fall when it got backed into by a honda (first thing to hit) and its only scuffed, I just buffed as best I could and spun the bar ends so the scratches face down. I think everybike I buy will have their barends installed.
  19. whats this now, I wonder if she'd fit in my honda. I'd kill someone for this bike. Its virtually my ideal road bike. blows harleys away and I like it better than the Ecosse bikes. although either would be fine, while I'm at it why don't I just tow them both behind my Ferarri 575 soooo many choices. SOOOOOOO little money.
  20. I'd give my left testicle for a road going MGS. at least when I'm in the market to buy I will. anyone need a testie? MG better not make me stray when I need a replacement to the V11.
  21. I can't quite wrap my brain around how that steers, it looks like the front wheel is rigidly mounted.
  22. I still like it a little more than the standard breva, if the price isn't much higher I may get one at some point. especially if something happened to my V11.
  23. I want a V7
  24. I had wanted Gianelli's but also had a lot of trouble with their site. I went for FBF, similar yet not quite as good(tad cheapa tho) I wonder what happened to the MG Ti's it came with.
  25. if 15yr olds love it, it must be dreadful although sometimes I have the maturity of a 12 year old so I might think it highbrow humor
