I'm saying I saw a Guzzi that was looking like a duck. I thought it was a ducati but the valve covers were showing a lil. I was confused myself did guzzi ever make such a bike
-
yea but sometimes you old biddy know too dang much about regular bikes and it gives you something to do I'm at a complete loss, I don't even know where to begin and look for this thing
-
I swear to god I saw this bike today but those black areas hid a newer looking V11 motor, I'm thinking its a V11 with a complete body makeover, I could be wrong maybe they had something like this not so long ago but I've never seen such a thing looked alright in a ducati kinda way.

The biggest case of bad luck I've ever seen. I always figured he would go down by some snake he let get too close or decided to handle or maybe slip and fall into the croc tank during feeding, maybe get done in by some jellies but if someone said stingray to me b4 this I would have scoffed at them. Its amazing really they have stingrays in the petting tank at the Mall of America aquarium.

2 things, do they speak any english? I don't speak any italian and how exactly would I contact them otherwise? I'd like to get ahold of oh say a liter of said guzzi green to paint a tail section.

I have no idea what youre talking about and can someone please explain all this moth nonsense -
I'm looking for a Guzzi green tail section if thats not possible I might just get my tail repainted tenni green but I'd like to keep the original tail and have the new one painted. Things will make sence when I'm done either that or it'll be one of the ugliest geese on the road. Anyway PM if you got something.

that moderator tab in the bottom of my window looks mighty tempting right now, but I know that would only inspire you to do even more BFG, there is no one else like you anywhere hopefully -
with all the false neutrals on a standard bike I bet you could just mount the brake lever on the left hand side and not have too much of a problem, if you mean linked front/rear I think that would be really hard but possible. but in all honestly I never use my rear brakes the fronts are awesome. Someone else will have to fill you in further.

well where is noggy with some clarification, Maybe If I mispell each word and use the worst possible grammar I can he'll cringe slightly and get a strong impulse to go on his computer and look at this thread.

they need to be anodized red alum.

I said a bodge because you decided to glue the brittle crap peice back together instead of getting a new plastic peice or fabricate something more suitable.

Ducati has a big black eye in my book, Cost of ownership i.e. higher insurance rates and insane maintenance but I know Guzzi parts aren't cheap and if there was a real dealer near by the repairs wouldn't be any cheaper but its just so easy to work on'em who needs dealers anyway? Ducati on the other hand not so much I'd bring'er to a dealer. like for instance Heard on the radio a guy trying to install new heads in a 99 beemer 5 series had the heads off and trying to put on the new ones but saw that he didn't know what VANOS meant, I laughed and thought to myself (better call a tow truck buddy ) I would wind up in the same boat trying to do a duck I imagine. or any I4 japper As for the goose instead of something new I say get ohlins, new bars and good tires to address as much of the concerns as you can. Or a second or third or some of the ppl on here a 20th bike
-
I was thinking of doing just this, or at least painting mine, where did you get your new cover? pic of the finished bodge job?, you might deserve a bodge point for this one

it may look different, may not. There were spy photos in there but they may have been of the development of the norge without all the fairing and bits.

a pair a choppers? $17 howboutthat? sorry local humor. "I'm keeping records of all my fuel use. On the first 594 miles (while breaking-in) I have averaged 42.4 mpg. This includes is a lot of mountain riding with lots of repeated acceleration and deceleration (to assist a good break-in), mostly between 3K and 5K rpm. Now that I am past the first 1000km, manual says I can go up another 1K, so now I will be keeping it under 6K rpm. After 2000km, I can go on up to redline. I'll be glad when the break-in period is over." F-Man http://www.sport-touring.net/forums/showthread.php?t=85372 or you might find this useful "FUEL CONSUMPTION/TANK RANGE: Again, comments restricted by ‘running in process’. Fuel consumption is steadily improving as the miles are clocked up. Bearing in mind previous comments about the computer – the current, but improving, fuel consumption is around 42mpg on the computer and more like 46mpg on the calculator! This has improved from initial figures of 35/36 on the computer. This is with exaggeratedly frequent use of the gearbox to avoid the engine labouring. The fuel gauge on my bike is also inaccurate in that whenever I fill the tank the gauge never shows completely full, it always shows at least a segment empty (sorry writing this without the bike to refer to forgotten what fraction each increment is). Very easy to over-fill the tank too! With the design of the BM tank a few extra litres could be put in when seemingly full. Assuming the Guzzi would be the same as similar, if not so extreme, tank shape I tried but very quickly the fuel was poring out of the breather, potentially over the rear tyre. Basically just fill to lip of orifice" http://breva1100.tripod.com/id2.html The answer is 42, hmm reminds me of a book I once read

what do they say?
DeBenGuzzi replied to antonio carroccio's topic in Special place for banter and conversation
I took 3 years of japanese, they have weirder than this, TEAM hide and go seek, He Who pee's last wins, Most Extreme human tricks like learn to juggle or memorize the perodic table in one week, they have more like fear factor shows too those japs are freaking crazy. Personally I enjoy it, I've always wondered hey buddy how much to eat this???? (something really gross) well they made it into game shows. oh oh, I heard him say choto mata (I am ready) but then he wasn't yeah he got hit in the balls. -
the bike I road had 500 miles on it and vibed like crazy the pedals felt like electric razors, I was wondering if it wasn't setup right, and the throttle was really snatchy and mildly unpredicable. maybe I rode a lemon, but it was a muddy lemon when I brought it back I love the free back pack I got, ripped off the buell badge and use it all the time.

I don't blame you Noggy, I know deep down you'll always have a soft spot for a goose, But the for all out touring in style nothing beats a HD and for touring with all out reliability and every techy doo-dad you can think of or would ever want nothing beats a honda(goldwinger) and if you want some character as in not a harley then BMW's do just fine. I have Bike ADD and can only afford 2 bikes but my list of "second" bikes is so long and I only have so much $$$$ and so little time I can't decide to save my life, ktm supaduke, apirlia tuono, MV Agusta 750, Harley Street bob, BMW 1200GS, Buell CityX(smallish tho, I'm 6'3") I was almost talked into a Ducati 999 but the insurance and more importantly matience would put me in the poor house whats a brotha to do? I suppose I really couldn't go wrong with another I like the Griso 850, I wonder if any will ever make it to the states? I haven't heard a price or destinations for these better looking less vibey faster revving griso's.
-
I can't believe you liked the buell, and for 2 up I dunno. the things front end flies up almost without warning sometimes and vibes like a paint mixer, and the heat blast was too much, I'd be all over the Breva with that comparo unless you want to go off road, only reason I could see for the Buell.

I can't believe what I'm hearing, if I get this right you better be selling the V11 to get a norgay, this can't be true, I won't believe it I won't, I thought noggy would be one of the last out of the fold On the other hand I am trying to get my buddy to buy a firebolt, I keep thinking of getting a cityx or waiting for a dirt cheap buell dirtbike(ulysses) to play with.
