  1. was he 80? or 12 tickets? or just wanting to get a look at your christmas card of a bike? I find that hard to believe a CBR is in a whole nother league than a goose.
  2. or an older one like a 00' they should be pretty well taken care of but I don't think they had lemans back then, was 02 the first year of the lemans I forget? but I've had almost no problems after I got new relays only thing is a leaky front fork, any other running problems I caused on my own and have not seen any vapor lock problem and the summers here are horrid at times rush hours gives me some pops but thats all. overall these things are near bullet proof and will almost never leave you stranded, if you really want to never be stranded get a BMW with roadside. now I got back in forth in my mind 1200GS, street bob I can't decide its really touch and go these days.
  3. offer him 5 firm, the miles are low but the rust and flaking aren't so cool, he should have had thbe flaking addressed, get the harley paint and respray it. Like martin said they are a good investment for a long term relationship i.e. buy it for 5k have it 15 years put on 50,000-100,000 miles and sell it for $4-5,000 depending on if you kept it on decent condition. but keep it a year and put 10k on it and you might be able to off load it for 4k with your 6k plus niggles invested they are definatly a long haul bike right now, want a quick turn thats a harley or a honda

    BMW R1200s

I called my dealer (great guys at motoprim) for the 999 they said between 600-1200 and thats with parts and everything(they mean oil change and so forth) so its not outrageous but its not cheap either by any means. I really like the GS Adventure but I didn't realize you couldn't find them anywhere, (who bought them all? I haven't even seen one on the road) I keep coming back to a street bob because I took a 2 hour ride today and with the roads in my area its 2 hours to roads worth riding a sport bike and that happens to be 1&hafl more than I'd like to spend on a 999 great looking bike tho I so need a test ride. nice thing about the harleys is any idiot can do the maint, like a goose
  5. any update on an FAQ, parts list for this setup you got here? I really like it. I'll sell someone my hand made eagle crash guards once I get it setup like that. it looks hot.

    BMW R1200s

not only that they are offering a 4 year 38,000mi unlimited warranty, if I can land a great price on a aprilia and the insurance doesn't kill me. I might get that b4 I saddle myself in a harley. I also like the BMW's for that 1200s style I only like the boxercup version all others are just too ugly. I can honestly say the only ones that tickle me is the 1200GS silver&black and the cream 1200C I just need to do some more test rides and look farther into service interval costs for the ducati 999, because thats grown on me a lot over these few years. I just need to be rich with a large garage and buy'em all.
  7. oh no its not too late stray away from the dark side go towards the light. Guzzi is like a curse you cannot shake. ah most ppl want to rebel from their fathers in this case I would say honda? I am actually thinking of giving the guzzi I have now to my boy in 14years. lets just hope he wants it(or it still works)

    V7 Sport

that was Jaap b4 Jaap became Jaap
  9. this has something to do with my NOT wanting to test ride a big breva, it was real comfortable for me to just sit on. if I got a real feel I might come home with one. And that'd just be silly I need to diversify(someone with more parts and better dealers )
  10. DeBenGuzzi

    Right idea

I SO WANT that I'd put it in a gokart or a powerwheel, how fricken sick would that be???? probably makes as much HP as our V11's and its the size of a shoe box.
  11. snap some pics of these beauts, don't need to know anything about location or whatsnot just get some good shots of some good bikes, if he lets you.
  12. DeBenGuzzi

    Right idea

that is sick sick sick, what about those mini model tractors that actually run? or the model cannons that actually shoot? I guess this is in the same cat. (completely worthless)
  13. I think if you're anything like me I came into a guzzi think it would be one of many bikes I own but now think its a bike I will always own in some form. Partly because of this forum. Hell, Al rothlisberger must have thousands in commission maybe he can take us all out for drinks sometime.
  14. Pods, yup pretty much
  15. lets not go here again. K&N's are good enough considering do you want to go 175,000 miles with some awesome sound and looks untill she blows from all the dirt and debris and looses compression and so forth, or do you want to leave the boring quiet stock box and get 200,000 I dunno I think I can live with my decision.

    Back again

I think the man needs a point what the hell was wrong with it anyway? ya know belfast, you should just start a whole chain of posts but link to an other post for your response and then respond to something else down the road on the first thread and link it to the second thread which directs it to a third more obscure thread and so on and so on. when someone has your kinda time I bet you could make it happen
  17. what size are these exactly? I don't see numbers I am looking for visual ambers!!! ya know the silver ones that blink amber
  18. noggy, this place wouldn't be the same without ya.
  19. I had a corbin seat for a short while, it slides you fwd that peice is not so nice on the eggs, I didn't like it one bit, apparently they have to "break-in" but the thing was real stiff and super slippery would need different matterial for the bum, or spray it with some pinetar? the seat looks nice on the bike but honestly for the money and what I've tried the stock seat is one of the best around, I mostly went with a maund seat for looks. but now I regret the looks part and like the squishy part whatever I'll just have to get it recovered (again) not maunds fault at all I like his work I just went a lil over the top for styling I've seen sargents(planks but good lookiing craftsmanship) and the corbin is maybe good if you break it in like a good cowboy boot if I had it to do all over again the seat would be the last thing I redid till I knew what I would really want out of it
  20. buell turn signals (identical btw and made in italy too) $6 don't have to work herder here mang. but I like your go getting get'erdone attitude
  21. make it look like this one... Thats Hott! this is acceptable too, I kinda want a stornello scrambler now!!
  22. I don't know why ppl under 50 don't like guzzi's more, I suppose the appeal of a very uncomfortable supersport with nothing but unuseable power (on the street) to buy matching leathers and try to pick up chicks lures them away from real motorcycles. I dunno about them but chicks dig my goose
  23. these things will start in 20 below and 120 above, I can't believe it but I've started it in the dead of winter b4, the "choke" can be done by just holding the throttle a little and is all that is needed. the choke is worthless unless you need to put your helmet on or something while she warms up for you.
  24. cost you 85quid to get rid of it? I don't understand english money is that like 5 dollars?
  25. its your call, heard that joke b4 but live action made it better.
