Well I'm in trouble. I plan to test ride a 999, a street bob, Ulysses, and if I can find one an RSV. I'd love a KTM but they are super spendy. at least here
-
I got it right here for ya, If I didn't know better I would swear you ride a scura.

what I find funny is the Outback steakhouse commericals here in the states are done by a kiwi. I hear that would be like Ford using a frenchman to sell cars.

Rear Drive Oil Additive or not if using Synthetic?
DeBenGuzzi replied to a topic in Technical Topics
I'm done with the crappy syn they were putting in at the dealership its called golden spectro and for the money should have really been filled with gold (I hear a good lubricant) I'll stick to my slightly higher buck redline every 5k. how often should I change out the tran/bev with my shockproof? speaking of it, I should come out with an oil that has gold flakes in it like goldschlager!!! should be just as good of a sales tech as Moly -
or maybe harpers MG http://www.harpermotoguzzi.com/ Or keep a vigil on ebay for one.
-
I's just looking but you should get a stainless Oil filter. I'm sure they are not cheap. I wonder if there would be a way to make a nice cover at least.

I don't care about scraping them but not folding can be ugly, My old cruiser had pegs that didn't fold. WOW I almost wet myself the back end pivoted out on the peg like a third leg. Maybe hard to explain but I ruined a perfectly decent pair of riding pants.

I can't believe no one has posted the original. The one true Miss hotness I almost like her better as a brunette.
-
Can I get an AMEN!@ They might be little but you should see what she can do with'em ...
-
I just think those are so ugly. I just want the simple, smallish tank bag. I've decided. Just need to find one now. Maybe next year the wife is already threatening to kill me. This pregnancy is not nearly as nice as the last one.
-
are you sure those are stock? the stock bar ends on the 2000 are threaded in and it takes a big hex to undo'em see if there is some way to stick something in there and unscrew'em, otherwise they might be aftermarket and may just yank out post a pic, only then can you get a true answer. Don't make me ride out there.

My roads are so flat and for the most part well maintained that I can't even find a road within 100mi thats even worth riding on. There are some nice roads down south wynona(who wynona ryder is named after) or up north to duluth, I think nirvana sings about them. BUT both options are 2 hours away. I can only ride an hour on the goose at a time then I need an hour break. Call me a wuss but my legs and ass fall asleep.
-
you think a guzzi is work? they might be heavy but for shifting and rev watchin. I guess I could see your idea of work coming from a harley, Try an R6 and then get back to me about work, heck almost any jap bike will seem ever so much more work than a goose. I think the goose is perfect in just enough you don't get bored but not so much your foot and wrist cramp up. Keep riding her hard.

I don't have moly unless its in the redline, and I tell you that pepto bismol is the bomb. I couldn't believe it the shifts were better and with redline in the case now it idles lower and smoother. I'm just scratching my head I always thought most oils were oils but Redline is like juice from Zues's loin cloth or something. -
ooOOoo pardon my french, HELL YEAH! I just hope I can afford it. And I hope its my tank that is oversized. otherwise I'll add something to adjust my steering lock because the forks touch the tank as in they turn too far, have you heard of this b4? I wouldn't want it to rub a spot off like it did on my tank. Also I can see the bubbles forming, who knows how long till they break off

Thats a long awnser, I got the levers from Manley Cycles. They know their guzzi's there http://www.manleycycle.com/products.htm I got the K&N's from K&N a simple search will bring them but unless you like the looks of the pods I don't recomend them. I recomend the FBF airbox kit. The cans and crossover I got from FBF I paid a chunk less when I got them they appear to have gone up $200 http://www.ferracci.com/store/cart.php?m=product_list&c=125 The seat I sent to Rich Maund. HE does a GREAT job and any way you want it. http://www.geocities.com/rgmaund/RichsCycl...ryHomePage.html I got the bar ends from Manic Salamander and they're top quality. really got rid of the vibes http://www.manicsalamander.com/ PCIII I got on ebay but I recomend this one, Comes with a good fit map and they'll work with you if you actually buy it from them. http://www.guzzitech.com/PCIII-15M.html MG will have a lot of what you need also. http://www.mgcycle.com/parts.html You can get a nice buell carbon screen here its $150 http://www.magicalracing.co.jp/Products/screen_en.html but I Got mine on ebay for $100 Harpers will have lots of stuff you need also http://www.harpermotoguzzi.com/ Get the neato FIN GUARDS here, I wish I would have gotten the ones that are cut out looking back but mine are nice too. http://www.swva.net/jkenny/ maybe you want to beat me to it and get a nice alum tank? http://www.thetankshop.com/ if you want fancy valve covers or velocity stacks, maybe oversized valves you can go here: http://www.sportcyclepacific.com/featureditems.htm dont like buell signals? try these http://www.sportcyclepacific.com/featureditems.htm these guys can restore your guages http://www.paspeedo.com/index.htm besides those to keep you busy I looked on ebay a lot and talked with some long time bloggers on here. I wish I could find that trick dial I'm going to get when my guages crap out on me like they certianly will be the motor stops working. Zeb has it on his bike. Me wantie me wantie. Anything else you need help with let me know. I'll see what I can dig up.

oh yeah fancy ealge engine guards...I think thats it.

I'm getting a tailpeice. but next year now, I got a Guzzi helmet a new battery, the baby dyno tuned and all the oils changed. That racked up the budget way too fast. They make a Buell Carbon fly screen I think looks a little better than the guzzi one. Well I have a picture of it but I am on the wrong computer. I'll post a new pic or two of what I have done. but its getting to be a lot. CRG levers, Gold resivor caps, Rich maund seat (might get it recovered the colors don't fit) Buell flyscreen, Buell blinkers, Buell pirelli scorpion tires, FBF cans, FBF X-over, PCIII, Hawker battery, K&N pod filters, Edge mud guard, Manic salamander bar end weights, Fancy tank guard, Carbon fiber chin guard(the former rubber peice on top of the tank), fancy softer grips, who knows probably forgetting something Would like a CF seat cowl, Pauls tail and the seat recovered, also getting the tank painted like the rosso mandello sometime. tank bag would be nice too. just missed out on one in the classifieds.
-
NO joke??? I think I'll be going to the Buell dealer next weekend.
-
I think that'll be next year for me if I can still get one. This year I racked up the $$$$$$ faster than expected.

sorry to hear. I know hoe easy this can happen, its good words of caution to all. I hope you feel better soon. I say you sell your bikes and just get an old V7 or something small and managable that can get you around in a nice lesiurely way on a sunday afternoon. I know if you have nothing you'll miss it hard. If you truly never ride again don't worry, youre still the best. Here's to a speedy recovery
