  1. if its polish that means you either push it more than you drive it. or it was meant to be carried.
  2. one thing. I love the RSV's also and a huge bonus I almost couldn't believe it. 4 year warranty or 50,000km (31 068.6mi) that is unheard of. makes me want it more. rock reliable and a long ass warranty, only problem only two dealers in my area neither close and they might not have'em for long, who knows. Ducati has 3 dealers and 1 is pretty close. test rides, ..... test rides.
  3. I thought the same way when it first came out. I can't explain it the ugly duc'ling has grown on me.
  4. You could go rent one and then let her use it for the test. Tell her NOT to drop it.
  5. and one favorable After a long life, dutifully serving his parishioners, the elderly priest died. He found himself in Heaven, where he was warmly greeted by St. Peter. "Welcome," St. Peter said, "You have lived a good life. Let me take you to your quarters, and then I'll show you around Heaven." St. Peter took the man to a rather plain building, and escorted him to a small room. The room was humbly furnished, but was functional. The priest was a bit surprised, having expected Heaven to be a bit more extravagent, but he was happy to be there. They then began their tour of Heaven, and it was absolutely beautiful. The priest felt silly for his initial resentment over his room. Finally, they came upon an enormous mansion. A butler opened the door to the mansion and a man came out, dressed to the nines, and proceeded down a long walkway to the front gate, as servants rolled a red carpet before him. When he reached the gate, a chauffeured limousine pulled up, and the man got in. It drove off. "Was that God," the priest asked, stunned by the display. "Oh heavens no," replied St. Peter. "That was a lawyer." "I don't want to seem ungrateful, but can you answer a question for me?" The priest continued, "I spent my entire life devoted to my parishioners, and teaching the gospel, and I have very humble quarters in Heaven. I just don't understand what that lawyer did, which would merit such a beautiful mansion." "It isn't what he did," St. Peter replied. "You see, we have thousands upon thousands of priests up here. But he's our first lawyer."
  6. Let me lighten the load 1)A prominent young attorney died on his way to court, and found himself before the gates of Heaven. When he arrived, a chorus of angels appeared, singing in his honor. St. Peter himself came out to shake his hand. "Mr Jones," said St. Peter, "it is a great honor to have you here at last. You are the first being to break Methuselah's record for longevity. You have lived 1028 years." "What are you talking about?" asked the attorney. "I'm 46." "46? But aren't you Steven Jones? The lawyer from Brooklyn" "Yes," the attorney answered. "Let me check the records," said St Peter. He slapped his hand against his forehead. "Oh, how silly of us. Now I see the mistake! We accidentally calcluated your age by adding up the hours you billed to your clients!" 2)A young couple in love were in an automobile accident the night before their wedding, and both were killed. In heaven, they approached St. Peter. "My fiance and I really miss the opportunity to have celebrated our wedding vows. Is it possible for people in heaven to get married?" St. Peter replied, "I'll tell you what -- after you have gone through an appropriate waiting period, we will talk about it again." Five years pass and the couple still wanted to get married. They approached St. Peter again, and he told them, "I'm sorry, I know that five years was a long time to wait, but there's a problem. You'll have to wait a little bit longer." Another five years pass, when St. Peter excitedly approached the couple. "Your wait is over, and you may marry now. Thanks for your patience." The couple got married. Unfortunately, soon after the wedding, the couple realized that they were not compatible. Going to see St. Peter, they asked if their was such a thing as divorce in heaven. St. Peter gave them a cold stare, and said sternly, "Look, it took us ten years to find a minister up here. Do you have any idea how long it'll take to find a lawyer?"
  7. I didn't even notice that was a painting. Wow, I looked at it first then read what you wrote. too bad she's on a hog.
  8. well this quiz is only, what 3 days old? no one gets it by next friday and the stumps all yours. Sounds like a long time but its under the 2 weeks
  9. I actually like the fairing just not the nose area, much like the firebolt. But the biggest thing is I can't see the nose when I'm ridding it. So I think I need a test. a good 20min's 'll do.
  10. driving itself to the dump?
  11. am I the only one that thinks the head on that bolt is fugly? I like all the other models of buell and the designs tech perfomrace ect except for the bolt. "those wee beaty eye's giving you that look like ooOOoo youre gonna eat mah chicken" well maybe not that old touring bike he had, and some of his other older cruiser/street fighter bikes looked so out of place to me.
  12. I was almost hoping for some bashing, I hated the looks of this bike when it came out but something has been calling to me, slowly making me want it. AND if I Can get one for a song hell yes I'll own one. But only one girl gets top honors.
  13. What do you think about the 999, I know the looks are love/hate but I'm thinking deeper. I dunno just all the sudden I've been reading into more sport bikes and that one keeps popping up as a top dawg. I must test ride it. they also have a 2003 demo bike with a 2 year warranty and 7500mi's but they want $13k I'd walk up and be like welllll I'll give you 10. I think they've had it a while now. maybe a reason for that too tho.

    V7 Sport

I guess easter was bring up old threads day. bfg musta forgot on sunday,
  15. 13500mi on the sport which means I have put on 10k. Wo-Hoo everybody. and with my new job working 12 hours aday I think I need anorher new job Its been so nice and I've put on like 100 miles the past 2 weeks. b4 this job it'd be closer to 1000 with this weather.
  16. I love everything but the tail section. That has to go.
  17. if this is true it would be nice just to have it. turn the lights off for starting and what not.
  18. I've had some experience Buell indicators, Nearly identical (made in same factory I hear) $6 for the pair. Y0504.02A8 (RF LR) Y0503.-2A8 (LF RR) they are the same all around just buy 4. They are slighty different but no problem to mount up just make sure you get the nuts from them!!!! (they are a weird thread pattern) Go with Fast by Feracci if you want Carbon cans for $600 otherwise get Mistral stock looking replacments for $550 OR look on ebay or this forum for a set of actual stock cans maybe $100 a simple search on google will bring up lots of options there but those are the best for close to stock and far under stock prices For levers The best bets are CRG adjustable's "rolaclicks" the large ducati version they are about $90 each but very nice and worth it, stock Brembo's can be had from a internet search or ebay. Buell footpegs are both more comfortable and much much cheaper I hear tho I haven't used them. Might want to ask around but I'm sure they are just generic to all models of buell and mount right up the the V11. If the screen is only scraped you might want to try and sand & paint it. a New one is around $300 Stuchi makes one for $200 and I got a Buell carbon fiber one thats shorter off of a lightning for $100, the brackets and nuts are an additional $40. Someone on here was selling Carbon Fiber seat cowls for $150? or do you mean the whole tail? either way if you can I would go with Pauls tailpeice you can't beat the quality(tho I haven't gotten mine yet) and the tail light is built in and looks brilliant. I think it is about $500 Valve cover I have no idea but I know there is a moto guzzi spares site that someone could fill you in on. I'm sure they would have one you could get and maybe not even have to paint it. The bars... I hear was it two brothers that made a nice bar set? otherwise look onto ebay again for a trashed one or the guzzi spares place. Really I know there is another company that makes more readily available bars but I Can't remember right now. Someone else will have to take over where I leave off. I would have knocked his tooth out the rest of the way While youre at it get some napolen mirrors they cut down on vibes and look nice. Goodluck and Godspeed.
  19. IF it was reliable I would TOTALLY buy a MG V8, given the chance to have either a MGS or a V8 I'd take the V8 it sounds and looks awesome. I'd just worry about reliability which makes the MGS shine with its proven bullet proofness. But I'm living in a dream world it'll be a decade b4 they get a V8 out IF they even really get into it. more rumors I'm sure.
  20. Many good points here but for the price I'd like the street bob I just can't shake the looks of that one. I also really do like that triumph 675 BUUUUUUHHHHHT is it just me or did they rebadge a ninja? I like it more than the ninja but it looks real similar. I can't wait to go test riding this summer, you've all put way too many ideas in my head but I'm not getting a second bike until next summer I need to 'sleep' on it so to speak, maybe get a low miles used one of whatever I'm looking for too. Buying new isn't usually the best way to go.
  21. I've only heard good things about the 1200gs, besides the servo's which they say have been improved over the last ones. So thats what it is I need to try it and I'll know for sure. Plus it wouldn't hurt to ask some more BMW riders that have more than just BMW's around here ppl follow strict brand ownership, or so it seems.
  22. THAT would be SO freaking SWEET. I think I might have to hold out for that one I've always liked aprilia I hope they can make it. I might just have to own one of their steeds for awhile.
  23. I wish I could but I don't think I can spare $1200 right now. I just don't think I Can do it.
  24. also I don't know how I feel about servo brakes, If I had the money I'd get one and but brembo's on it b4 I left the dealer.
  25. Its not the peer pressure, its the fact that I know they aren't going anywhere or going to change in any way other than for the good I hope (maybe get more power out of the pigs soon?) and there are lots of other bikes I'd like to try while I'm young. There will be plenty of time for the B roads on a hog when I grow up. I'm not ashamed but a lot of the harley riders in this area bug the hell out of me, so many buy it for that culture and that is just odd who wants to be known as a loud arrogant jackaninny? I'll wait for more power at a decent price or maybe just build one with a harley frame and a buell engine be hella cheaper than their screamin eagle crap. Big bored engine $6-7K I can get a whole barely used buell for that money, this is starting to sound like a good idea Vrooom!
