    ECU

I can't take much more of this. Isn't there someone somewhere who can help dlaing out, ffs.
  2. Hydraulic drive?
  3. Now your avatars dont work either.
  4. Shock Horror! Mad inventor creates an engine that runs on water! The miraculous device to separate the hydrogen and oxygen atoms can clearly be seen in the background.
  5. I'm gonna have to dispute some of your points there Noggers. The Power Commander is not a gimmick,it works extremely well, giving a measurable and discernable improvement in performance. For those of us on a budget and who can't afford to have the bike off the road for days doing dyno set-up,it's an extremely effective device. It may not have every bell and whistle going, but for me ,it's more than good enough. I'm a right cynical bastard at the best of times, so when I'm pleased with a product Ill share my findings with others so that they may benefit too. If it was a piece of shit,I'd be the first to say so,but it's not. I find your hostility to the PC somewhat strange. Many bike mags have tested it and pronounced themselves satisfied, indeed many recommend it as an upgrade when fitting a new can.So why isn't it good enough for you? Certainly,in an ideal world,we'd have ecu's that remap themselves to suit every variable instantaneously, but it's not an ideal world. Finally, correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the ecu read the ignition signal 90deg before tdc then sends the input to the coil at the appropriate time. Therefore an ignition module would simply(!) change the time difference to suit preferred settings. No flux capacitor required(tho if Todd can rig one up.... )
  6. Pink Panzer?
  7. I remember that,it's Bray Hill at the TT. Didn't the guy get away with just a broken ankle or something? If so,he's a lucky lucky guy.
  8. Ach,dont mind too much, the bearings are dirt cheap and dead easy to replace,it could be a lot worse. Saying that,Ill be even happier if jrt has one of them spacers left. If not, it's out with the ankle grinder for a wee adjustment.
  9. Martin, got about 4000 miles out of the bearings, but put a new tyre on yesterday and noticed "fling" around the cush drive cover plate and from experience that's the grease left the bearings so it's only a matter of time before they go for good. Last bearings were NTN make, this time I'll find SKF ones I think.
  10. Jrt,any of those spacers left? Back wheel bearings going again Measured the spacer last time and it looked ok,but it was raining ,maybe my measuring string got wet and stretched I need a new piece of string.
  11. I took mine off to fix it after it started leaking and binding.Didn't bother putting it back on,that was 3 months ago.Bike's fine without it.
