  1. Yep, the oil runs up the spiral flutes of the cable as it rotates. As I said,I dont know if it's true,it was a piece of advice I was given aeons ago and had no reason to doubt it, the guy who told me knew his stuff.
  2. In fact, they really are all like that. Turn the nozzle away from you so that it's "upside down" and put it in the filler pointing down and it'll work fine.
  3. If you have metric inches on your feelers, it's .004" and .006"
  4. Dunno if it's right, but I thought it was a bad idea to lubricate speedo cables as the lube finds it's way into the speedo head and buggers up the mechanism??? The cable should be teflon lined type. Anyone know anything about this?

Me too! That settles it, the sport is obviously far rarer than them old Tennis and Scuras ,we should definately have a register of burgundy v11s with special burgundy and silver background! Now all we have to do is hijack every thread til Jaap caves in and sets it up All you guys with green and red V11's need to set one up too y'know Soon we could have a registry for every bike with every different colour combination and series of modifications. For example, Martin Barretts bike could be in the Le Mans registry for bikes with tankbags and panniers and wobbly exhausts! Jaap, hope you werent planning any holidays

How many V11 Sports were made? There cant be that many, mine was one of a pair at the Erin rally last year, but there was plenty of them 10-a-penny Scuras and Le Mans etc. I think there should be a registry for the V11 Sports, we can invent any kind of serial numbers we want, nicknames included, and we can subdivide into groups according to when the bike was built- am or pm. We can then further subdivide into colour coding and fashion accessories, etc. How about it Jaap?
  12. Good to hear you're ok, watch out for them left hand drive clowns, there seems to be loads of them about at the moment and many of them seem to be permanently pissed. Or they just dont give a shit. Mate of mine works in a quarry in Carlow, between them the East Europeans have written off 11 trucks in the last 7 months- over 1 million euros worth How's the Tenni? Have you seen Van's registry?
  13. Idid mine at the weekend, just tipped them upside down and refilled. Dont do what I did and refill with 20w. Far too thick.
  14. Sorry, jrt, dont recall off hand. I measured the gap, checked the spacer was close enough and belted in the new bearings.
  15. Dropped out the yokes, bottom bearing nothing more than a ball of rust. The nearest this thing ever got to grease was geographically, when it was in Italy. Btw, changed the fork oil at the same time, took off the top caps and flipped the legs and let them drain, refilled with 20w( all the shop had in ) not recommended, feels like I'e got two broomhndles for fork legs. I'll change it next week for 10- or maybe 5w
  16. ......and on Wednesdays,we'd fit the 16mm arm unless Luigi had pasta last night, see it makes him fat and he can't reach the other box.Now when Lucchia is on gearboxes, she dont like the 16mm since it catches her nails, so she puts the other ones in if there's any left, but if they're all gone we just use whatever's lying around. Now,big ends, wait til you hear this, you'll like this one.....................
  17. There ye are, what more could you want, you lucky lucky people. I had thought that the passage of time may have softened me towards the looks of the Breva, but eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeerr no.
