If you can get to an engineering supplier, get some shim stock(like a big long feeler gauge) and wind it round your pipe before you insert it, should solve your clamping problems.

Agreed, Guy but I think the market has changed since then, people dont seem to be quite as hypersports orientated as they were back then. Bikes seem to be accessories to a lot of folk, to be wheeled out on a sunny day and smoked about on. Ducati seem to be targeting this market, I just dont see why Guzzi couldn't do it too, only better.

Bloody corrugated Irish roads, I reckon. That's every wheel bearing been replaced and now the steering head. Ach well, could be worse. I did check the rear spacer and it measured up ok, so either poor initial dealer maintainance or the road surface. You've seen the roads here yourself, so I can't complain.

Nice one, Lex. When I had the v11 on the dyno, it was interesting to compare a similar type motor, the closest was the multistradas, both of which were just about the same peak hp as my v11. Antiques are fun.

The desmodue engines I've seen put out almost exactly the same power as a V11 with Mistrals, PC111, drilled airbox. Dynotuned Multistradas w/ pipes-85rwhp. Observed, Dynojet tuning centre, Dublin.

There's no way that bike weighs 120kg. Not unless it has some kind of anti-gravity device.

Can anyone out there confirm what bearings go in the steering head, mine are shagged. Dont want the old girl off the road any longer than necessary so I'll get new ones first and swap em over. It looks like ??205 on the top one. Presumably top and bottom are the same.

I wasn't too bothered about it when I first saw some photos of it( condemnation in itself?) but when I saw it at a rally, I thought it was the ugliest guz made to date. I like a bike with style, not a bike with styling. Hopefully I will be in a minority and it will make MG's fortune, but since it looks bastard ugly IMHO ,I doubt it. Baldini rode it and reckons it's better dynamically than the V11, and there are some nice touches, but I just dont see me ever looking at one in the shed just for the pleasure it brings me, esp compared to my V11.

Get in touch with Todd at Guzzitech and get a PC111. Makes a hell of a difference. I drilled 6 46mm holes in the top of my airbox too, apart from that my specs are identical to yours. Dyno it too. I think if you turn the tps up slightly, it willrun a wee bit richer, anyone got any experience?
