  1. Did you check the gap in the spark plugs? Its a small thing but important. Btw its .7mm in my manual.
  2. My is that the board needs more people like Enzo who arent afraid to take risks & be different. While I agree that the color scheme is a little bizarre, I like the inspiration that has gone into it. I think creative people should be encouraged to express their art in any way that seems fit. The fact that he's doing it with a bike design that I like is all the better. Aside from the paint thats a pretty sweet custom v11.
  3. Has anyone tried a hardware or plumbing store for the brass fitting? You may well get a suitable piece for far less.
  4. Well today was just way to frigging hot to either work on the bike or ride it. I took a look at it this evening & I traced the "plug" wire from the master cylinder to a panel under the seat that goes to the brake light. I changed a plug terminal thing & that didnt work & the other side looks fine so I'm going to take that panel off & follow the wire back & see what there is. I hope it doesnt just morph into a large bundle of other wires Its funny, I make electric meters for a living & I dont know sh!t about wiring.
  5. Thanks Dlaing. I wish it were that easy, I just bought the new fbf fender eliminator kit. I had it working fine then I pulled that damn plug off & put it back on & now I have no brake light at all. That btw has happened in the past. Somehow the gremlin seemed to leave on its own but now its back.
  6. I just checked the plug wires with a voltage tester & no light. What is the next course of action?
  7. I pulled the plug off of my rear brake master cylinder & put it back on. Now I dont have the brake light at all, front lever or rear lever. I checked the fuses & they're all good. Could this be a relay issue? Is there a certain way that the plugs go on that I'm not aware of?

  9. You know that problem can be solved by removing just one wire...
  10. My 01 Rosso Mandello with Marz forks only has one spacer.
  11. Welcome to the forum :!: Now that you've gotten the shifter problem fixed & soon you'll have the relays replaced you have a fine bike. If thats all that ever happens you have as good a bike as any made in the world IMO Very small cheap fixes too. Are you happy with the way it runs, when it does run lol?
  12. Welcome to the forum :!: Its nice to have a woman in here for a change lol. Theres an old thread here about modifying the stock pipes. Most people agree that it better/easier just to buy aftermarket canisters. Btw the Rosso Corsa is the best Lemans Guzzi made. P.S. Igore the Hooters thread
  13. Ok thanks are in order for Nogbad! I removed my sump to check the oil filter because I just recently (within 50 miles) changed the oil & filter. I unscrewed the filter checking for stripped threads, cracks, etc. I found nothing wrong...then I looked down on the floor & guess what??? There was the rubber O ring gasket from the previous oil filter!!!! Apparently the old o ring stayed on the whatchacallit when I removed the old filter. When I took the new filter back off the old o ring fell out. Voila!! No engine problems for me thank God. Apparently 2 o rings do not make for a tight seal lol. Well I'm off to go for a ride & make sure that pesky light doesnt come back on. Oh btw I believe Nogbads in charge of the golden bodge points, so I'll just wait patiently with my dunce cap in hand
  14. My 01 Rosso's oil light is starting to flicker at idle only, & only after a few miles of riding. I just changed the oil so thats not it. I've checked the dipstick & its about an 1/8 of an inch over the top mark & clean. Can that small amount of extra oil make the light come on? Any advice on how the check the oil pressure? The light has never come on except at idle.
  15. I must be lucky to have Summit Racings main warehouse & showroom right near my home. Too bad theres no discount for that The amount of mechanical stuff they have there is mind boggling
  16. He's probably in the hospital saying "Wall was I thinking"! lol Theres video proof of why the European license laws make sense. That was a rider who clearly had no business riding a larger bike on a public road. Oh well Darwin had a term for people like that...
  17. I agree with Nogbad here. I sat on one at the bike show & its ridiculous. Pretty to look at though.
  18. I'm not sure if thats a bad deal. If its $3500 including the good transmission, check around for a quote from a reputable mechanic first. If you can get the "good" tranny installed for under a grand I'd call that a fairly good deal. I'd make damn sure thats all thats wrong with it before I bought it too. Its like Dirty Harry said in the movies...Do you feel lucky punk? Well...do ya? lol It could be a great deal or a horrrible money draining experience.
  19. Omg I think I've seen the best looking sportbike since the MGS01 :!: Thats the first I've seen that v4.
  20. I have for sale a pair of nearly new Dainese competition leather armored pants. They have a slight abrasion to the logo lettering on one leg. Otherwise these pants have not been worn more than 5 times! I'll have pictures soon, price new is $600...my price is $400. Let me know if you're interested as I'll be listing them on Ebay soon. These pants are super heavy duty leathers, I think they weigh close to the 10lb range & the quality is very high. If you go to the track you neeeed a pair of these~! Pm me if you'd like to get them pre ebay. Heres the Ebay link http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...AMESE%3AIT&rd=1
  21. Trade it in on a new Breva 1100 :!: I was at my local dealer this weekend & they are really cool. I'm currently weighing my penny jar to see if I can afford a new Griso The Breva looks like an awesome touring bike.
  22. I've heard the easiest way is to take off on chop at a time. Have the first one painted then put it back on, take the other one off & repeat.
  23. Ben theres an old story of a dwarf visiting a whorehouse. The dwarf picks his whore, gets her in the room, & pulls down his pants. The whore looks at his penis & says, who do you think you can please with that little thing? The dwarf looks her right in the eye & says...ME! Bottom line is, you're the one paying for it so it only has to make you happy.
  24. If that bikes been sitting for a long time I would drain the fuel tank & refill it with new gas. Btw they take 91 & up octane. I'll defer to the experts on the mechanical stuff. Check the throttle body hoses that connect to the heads. Make sure the rubber is in good condition & didnt come off on the side thats not firing.
  25. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...AMESE%3AIT&rd=1 I've put these up on Ebay if anyone is interested. Any questions just pm me
