  1. You could probably have the swingarm powdercoated while you have it off. Maybe a cool custom color that maybe compliments the pork chops & the valve covers?
  2. I just got those brackets in the mail today. They look really awesome on my bike! I'll post photos as soon as I can. Btw the guys at RossoPuro have got it together. They took my order, shipped it in 1 business day & I got the product overnight! Shipping isnt cheap lol but it was in friggin ITALY monday morning & the brackets are mounted on my bike on this Tuesday evening!
  3. http://store.summitracing.com/default.asp?...p2.asp&N=400236
  4. Hmm I think its actually made right here in my backyard somewhere in northeast Ohio. I should find a link to Summit Racing and post it here. I believe they are a distributor of Red Line products. However I may get too busy painting my living room today lol. Try a google search for Summit Racing & Red Line & see what you get.
  5. It kind of looks like the Goldwing fairing. At least I think the lights look like the newer Goldwing lights.
  6. Is it just me or does the rear drive look different than a stock v11?
  7. Well at age 37 I guess the 80's were sort of my decade anyway lol. I'll have to wait until they actually get on my bike to really see if I like them. Now I need a set of aftermarket cans ro attach to them.
  8. I'm sure that if the Breva sells well there will be a Breva 1100 website also. I'm really wanting a more long distance highway type Guzzi myself. Not that I'm going to sell my Rosso Mandello, but I want to have a couple different kinds of motorcycles. Budget is pending lol
  9. I'm going to be the first kid on my block with a set of these :!: Has anyone else thought of getting these?
  10. I'd have to go with sandblasting for a job like that. Getting between those fins any other way may well take you all winter Besides sandblasting will leave the surface in perfect condition to accept primer + paint. Btw I've often wondered what other colors would look good on the v11 engine besides black or silver. Maybe a combination of the two?
  11. I agree with Ratchet I actually like the rarity of the bike, except when I want aftermarket parts for it. Then there is limited choices due to the low numbers of bikes out there to customize. 20 years ago Harley dealers couldnt give their bikes away & look at them now. If you buy a v11 now theres a good chance that someday it will go up in value. The looks/style of the bike are timeless & its a good Goose that will last for over 100k miles, given proper maintenance. I bought a Rosso Mandello & I love it after 8500 miles.
  12. The only big difference in the v11's is the suspension. You can either go with Ohlins suspension or not. Stay away from the Scura lol
  13. PVM has wheel prices for moto guzzis right on their website. You can just pick what you want there & buy it online I think. They do have nice wheels but I think you're going to pay more than 1700 if I remember correctly. probably closer to 2300
  14. Thats not a horrible looking bike. Kind of a left handed compliment but its only a computer image, not the real thing, & definitely not Guzzi's official pic. At first I thought the Breva was fugly but I'm starting to warm up to it a little. If they get the plastic to look right the bike will sell very well.
  15. Thanks Jaap I was just wondering if it was worth the $$$ Theres also pvm & marchesini but those are closer to 2500 euro. Damn shaft drive lol maybe I can find a used front one on ebay for less money.
  16. I just came back from another great day on my Rosso Mandello. The clutch still does its nice little rattle, & I still like it like that I'm glad I dont have the Scura though.
  17. Has anyone tried the G&B rims that are on the website for 1700 euro? They say they're 7.5 kilos lighter than stock. I was just wondering how much of a difference that makes. I'm thinking that with those rims, mistral cf exhaust, & pod filters I'm looking a 450lb or so bike? Add the FBF engine kit & you should be near 100 rwhp. That may just surprise a kid on an r6 or zx6 lol
  18. I agree with Nogbad, check your rear tire pressure. Also make sure the balance weight is still on the rim maybe? It just sounds like the its the back tire or the rim from your description. Oh also make sure the nut that holds the rear wheel on the axle is still tight.
  19. I'll bet he's not smiling & laughing the next day after the shock wears off. Thats got to hurt like a Mofo, he lost a lot of skin. Not as much as he should have lost being naked though.
  20. This is not the kind of news I like to hear. My condolences for your bad luck. How much work is it to replace the clutch/flywheel? I hate to think about that happening to my RM.
  21. I usually refill at 130 miles or so. On the highway I get about 43 mpg with mine, & thats with me doing an average 80mph with plenty of 80-110mph blasts passing traffic. I usually get about 37 mpg in the city where I do most of my riding.
  22. I would like to think that every rider feels that their bike is incomplete. Its the nature of things mechanical, you cant get everything in one bike, car, boat, plane, etc. The V11 is an artfully designed mostly well made bike. I love riding mine everytime I get on it. It will never do 180mph or be as comfy as a Goldwing....so what You've gotta admit we've just all got better taste in bikes here than the other guys I always get positive comments about my bike everywhere I go, from all kinds of people too. I had a preacher guy tell me I had "discriminating taste" in motorcycles yesterday. Another guy in a work van pulled next to me at a light & started asking questions about it, he was obviously envious of the thing. Think of a Guzzi as a stock thats been beaten down to a 12 month low. Now is a good time to get a v11, california etc. I think the prices will go back up at some time, or at least not depreciate much more. I'm probably going to add an Ev to my garage when I pay off my v11.
  23. I took the bike out today for a little ride & the foliage was perfect! The temperature was a perfect 60 degrees & sunny skies. I turned the compression & rebound all the way up on my forks & the ride was near perfect, the engine was as it should be lol Its going to be like this all week according to the forecast, God its good to be a biker with a Guzzi in Ohio right now :!: Anyway I went about 120 miles & it was like biker nirvana through the twisty hills here where I live Funny I was thinking about getting the fuel stabilizer a few days ago & then the weather changed for the better. I'm already looking forward to next riding season, but of course thats at least 5 months away. today was the kind of day you dream about before you get a bike & then all the money & hard work is well worth it. Oh well I've got about one more week here & then I'll be getting the Sta Bil After the first week of November here its
  24. I think we Rosso Mandello owners need our own section too :!: lol Why not? Whaddaya think Jim? You could also have a section for your MGS for just you & GuzzBun.
  25. Dont forget the new Breva's alternator is mounted between the cylinders, or under the tank if you prefer. I'll bet you can upgrade that one if need be.
