    magni fairing

I bid on it myself, but I'm too short on cash right now to have won it.
  2. Hmm go with the throttlemeisters & the lead shot If that doesnt cure it buy a Goldwing lol
  3. Check the valve clearance, change all fluids. Check the plugs, the air filter should still look like new. Be very meticulous when cleaning the mesh screen in your oilpan. I always wipe the pan clean with a cloth when I change the oil, the first change the pan should be wiped for sure. You're supposed to change the fork oil too but beware...its a pain in the ass & probably not needed until 6000 miles or so. If your really motivated take the front & rear wheels off & grease the fronts bearings & put some grease on the spline in the rear hub. Also pump a little grease in the driveshaft. Theres three fittings for grease but good luck fitting the grease gun on two of the fittings. That should do ya good for a while If I missed anything other than throttle body sync somebody fill in the blank here_____ lol

    02 Scura

I have a Rosso Mandello wich has the same clutch as a Scura. 8000 miles & no problems yet, I even have grown to like the rattle sound in nuetral. I've never used the double plate clutch but I wouldnt switch to it just because there were about 5 bad ones in the whole bunch. I'll bet someone just dropped the box they came in at the factory & used them anyway lol. It should be a great v11 with the ohlins suspension. If you want wind protection get a Lemans. The fairings are too expensive to buy seperately.
  5. I work 5:30am to 4pm 4 or 5 days a week (usually 5). Ten hour shifts suck the best part of the day from you I usually ride around town for a half hour sometime after work for relaxation when its nice out. On the weekends I like a good 100 mile ride after a late breakfast. Maybe this is a little blasphemous to say here lol. I've been thinking about adding a more touring (comfortable) bike to the stable for 100plus mile days. Who has a California Ev here & is it a good low vibe smoooth ride? I love the Rosso in town but it gets old on the highway after a short while. I cant afford it right now anyway but I'd like to hear some honest opinions of the Guzzi cruiser models. I guess if I sold the Rosso I could have one lol but that aint going to happen :!:
  6. You may have to replace anything made of old rubber if its been sitting a long time. Other than that the bearings etc, should be as good as any other bike with 47k miles on it. It shouldnt be too hard to get started to assess the condition of the drivetrain. Besides its only $300, how else are you going to have that much fun tinkering with an old bike for that cheap? Once its running you can sell it in may for $750 if it cleans up halfway good. I wouldnt mind having something like that to stick in my basement to learn how to work on.
  7. The Coppa has a better Ohlins suspension system. The Rosso is better looking IMO lol. I have a Rosso Mandello & I really like it a lot. If I were to do it over again I'd get a LeMans with the full fairing. The Rosso Corsa has the Ohlins suspension + the full fairing making it the best v11 lemans you can buy (if you can find one).
  8. I refilled mine with 10wt. I weigh about 170lbs & the front end just feels like its too stiff. I dont know much about setting the compression & rebound on the forks but after some fiddling I think its about as good as its going to get. Next year I think I'm going to have a pro look at it & help me set it up. I dont know if 5wt fork oil would help it or not.
  9. I've gotta say that those were the sexiest video chicks of the 80's I liked the other brunette better but hey I'd bang em all lol
  10. Its in this months MotorCyclist magazine. They seem impressed with it too, pending the test ride of course. Theres quite a few new bikes coming next year to choose from it seems. Maybe even a Breva or Griso lol
  11. Hmm, if you dont like the look of the oil cooler maybe you could chrome it up a bit? Those v sumps are very expensive but hey its your money & your bike of course I always take the pan off to change the oil & filter myself, that way I know the filter is tight & the job is properly done. Its a pain in the to go through for an oil change but time spent playing with the bike is good time to me.
  12. Factory head guards do work in a lower speed drop. I hit some gravel on mine & went down @ around 20/25mph. It destroyed the head guard & mangled the spark plug but that was generally it. I did have my tekno bags on at the time & the bag absorbed a lot of the force too though. I picked the bike up, looked it over & rode it 80 miles back home, no problem. BTW always wear a helmet & protective gear! I wacked my head on the pavement when I hit & I thought I was a dead man, then I realized that was the helmet that made that sickeningly loud sound & not my skull. Also my Dainese th1 leather jacket took a good beating too. I wear it with pride now lol its well broken in. If I wouldnt have been wearing that jacket I shudder to think of the road rash on my back & shoulder/arm. Spend the money on good head guards & you'll feel better when you ride.
  13. Now those are very cool :!: Not too bad a price either, $100 is maybe a little than a pair of K&N pods but not by much
  14. I agree with Jaap , mine are attached directly to my tb's & its never been a problem. Chrome plated velocity stacks would look cool though
  15. My bike has the same false neutral but I've never had it jump from 5th to 3rd. If it was just the false neutral I'd say hey its a Guzzi after all lol. Does it do that gear skipping thing often? I've found that it does take a lot of getting used to that shifter in the higher gears with low rpm's. I'd leave it alone if it aint making bad noises but thats just my On the other hand if you like working on that sort of thing have fun & post here often lol
  16. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/GREEN-LIGHT...581110673QQrdZ1 This is what it is. They're on ebay all the time
  17. Thats almost surely the problem. I'm getting ready to do the late fall/winterization for my Rosso. I'll be taking both wheels off, greasing everything etc.
  18. That looks like a new Breva 1100 headlight on the custom Centauro from the side photo. Is that what it is? Man I've got to say thats one of the best looking Guzzi's I've ever seen Good thing its not a v11 lol someone else will have a shot at bike of the month next month
  19. If you're talking about resevoir tanks & covers for the brake & clutch, Rizoma makes real pretty billet aluminum ones. Look on Rizoma's website or just google it for all the info you need.
  20. Bend over lol a new headlight is north of $200 I think
  21. I think it would look really good if it was all red instead of that red & green. It kinda looks like a christmas tree. The design itself is pretty good
  22. Where the hell is New Zealand? Lmao Personally I'd love to go visit there, but its so far away it may as well be on the moon. I got to see a lot of that area on a documentary of the filming of the Lord of the Rings. Very beautiful country.
  23. Vicodin can be a wonderful thing! lol
  24. My condolences Mike. Its been a bad year for us Guzzi guys it seems. Lots of falls this year. I hit some gravel a month ago & took a dive @ about 25mph myself. I think I retore my rotator cuff I had surgically repaired a few years ago. The bike surprisingly had little damage! The Tekno bag & the head guard took most of the damage. I was wearing full gear so no real bumps or scrapes. As for your pelvis, I'm not a doctor but I'd say that you wont know how bad your hurt or should I say your recovery time for maybe a week. Between what your body will tell you & how fast the doctors assess your recovery time shouldnt be more than 7-10 days. Just take it easy & let your injuries heal. Dont try to rush things I think a hip is probably a major thing to heal right. If I remember right Stephen King had his hip broken when he got hit by that van a few years ago & it is a slow recovery.
