I'm just curious about this problem. I removed my airbox & went with pods. That opened up a lot of space between the tank & the engine. This in turn also creates more air flow through that area & should keep it cooler. Anyone who has been experiencing this problem may want to try removing the airbox & go with pods to see if that helps. It looks way cool too imo.

My bikes mileage varies according to how I ride it. I get as low as in the 25 mpg range. The best I've ever gotten is in the low 40's. As gas gets closer to $3 a gallon I may start to worry about mileage but not yet. If you have poor mpg try filling it up, ride 100 miles on the highway at 65mph & fill it back up. Then see how much you used, it should be around 2 to 2.5 gallons. If its more than 3 gallons in 100 miles @ LEGAL freeway speeds somethings probably wrong.

Hey I'm in agreement This crap on the Speed Channel is terrible. I really liked the old 2 wheel tuesday. All it is tonight is more garbage reality shows with motorcycles in the background. I guess we'll just have to subscribe to several different bike mags to make sure we get good info. Not to mention this fine website

Same with my bike too. Your ok....Dont mess with it, unless you want this guy to get on your case lol
-
I think you're right I understand that I dont have a Honda or some other toaster. I just live with the occasional ping, fart, or cough & call it character and laugh it off. I know its never going to run a 10 second quarter mile or get 50 mpg. One of the secrets to enjoying life is just being happy with what you have. Having said that I think I'm going to be happy with a Ninja type bike to keep my Mandello company next year
-
I've noticed that the bike doesnt run as well near 100 degree temps. It makes some pinging sounds if you roll on the throttle from low rpms. It doesnt do that at night when its cooler. Maybe it just needs the pc or a custom map Mine ran like a dream last night
-
I think you should give it the once over Al. If your still on the left coast that is
-
No offense but tell the insurance company to keep the bike. I'd take the 11k & get a new bike. Those thieves more than likely ran the piss out of your bike & you wont know the extent of the damage for who knows how long. I dont know if the insurance company would do that or not but I'd certainly ask. Btw the Griso is coming out soon lol
-
Omg! I'm so happy for you They didnt part it out or anything? Thats a happy ending. Lets hope your insurance company comps you for any possible damage you havent found yet.

Same experience here too! I put a Supercorsa on the front & I'll probably always have Pirelli's now. I need to buy one for the rear but I wonder if it makes as much difference as the front?
-
The only possible downside to that supercorsa is that it may wear out fast. Other than that its great for the bikes performance. If you live in an area without lots of curvy roads it may not be that useful. I can lean the bike over to where my footpeg scrapes the pavement without a problem now. In fact I think the bike is the limiting factor & not the tire lol
-
I just put a supercorsa on my front wheel. Its incredibly better than the stock Bridgestone. I dont know how many miles it will last but the performance is awesome, its like a whole new bike. The size is 120/70-17 & the part # is mrs 12909 if you'd like to give that one a try.
-
Ok I had the Pirelli put on today. At first I thought, ho hum no big difference... Until I took it hard in a twisty bit of road. That front tire makes the bike turn in faster, change direction faster & I can lean farther over. Once I got the tire properly scuffed its great! I went right back to the dealer to buy the rear matching Pirelli! Thats how taken I am with the front one. Sorry to say they only had the front tire left & no more Pirellis That must have been why I got such a good deal on it, it was their last one. Guess I'll have to pay closer to retail for the back one Well worth the $$$ though. I doubt I'll ever put a different brand tire on my bike unless I'm very strapped for cash. Btw I have one used front Bridgestone with a nail in it for sale lol the first $15 takes it! Otherwise I'm going to plug it myself & keep it as a spare (emergency) tire.
-
Looks like I did get a good deal by about $50 over their sale price Bad news was my old tire had a nail in it. To think I was hitting triple digit speeds in it just this weekend Oh well at least I kept the rubber side down, besides that my luck has been crap. Still all in all I love riding the thing more than anything (just about) Its well worth the extra couple bucks a month. Some people see a therapist, I ride a Guzzi
-
I dont know if its the race version. The part # is mrs-12909 & its a supercorsa
-
Ok ok enough with the brake line lmao. I got one on order today from mph in houston. I tried to get Speakers on the phone but no answer today. Oh well it will be in, in about a week.
-
Ok I had a slow leak in my front tire & wanted to replace it as it had 4000 miles on it. I bought a pirelli 120/70-17 supercorsa front tire for $90 tax included, it listed for $187.95 originally. Sounds like I got a good deal, but I dont know the $187 price sounded way too high anyway. Anyone else have one of these? I've read other posts with good things to say of the pirellis. I was just wondering if it was a great deal or just a normal price.
-
Hmmm.... is that the oil cooler I see there mounted on the side instead of the front? Not the best place for it, but it sure looks cool! Btw does anyone know if I can get this emoticon as a sticker? I'd love to put it right above my rear taillight.
-
I thought Guzzi was still going to make the Cali?
-
Hahaha rub it in :!: I'll see how many wheelies you do this weekend If it doesnt rain Saurday that is
-
I'm just turning 4000 miles on the Rosso. So for alls well, the bike runs perfectly I wont bitch too much about the pinion gear I broke because that happens with horseplay sometimes. Other than that I've had a blown fuse & thats it. My wrinkle paint even seems to be fine. My next options will be throttlemeisters & Mistrals. The Mistrals later than sooner. Oh & I'll be replacing the battery as the battery light comes on soon after startup, but it goes out once I rev it a little. It is almost 5 years old I guess. I still need to do that fork oil change yet, I'll have to call my dealer for the seals just in case. Is there anything I'm missing at 4000 miles for service that should be done? I'm thinking about replacing the brake fluid, but what about the clutch fluid? Well I'll keep my fingers crossed but I think I have one of the better bikes that came from Mandello. Must have been made on a tuesday afternoon or something lol
-
Theres only one bulb that works both the brake & the tail light. I just replaced mine so I know. Remove the bulb and closely look at both filaments. I'll bet one is broken...
-
Was it really that much faster than a v11? Good thing theyre ugly I may have to go look at one just to make sure though Go ahead and buy the thing...see if we care
-
I'll have to get to the gear shop to have a stronger pinion made. For now I'll just ride without doing wheelies Really its good to have the bike back on the road. I think I've put 700 miles on it in less than 2 weeks.

I'm still waiting to see a picture of this edge guard!
