  1. Nevermind I figured that problem out. Man this is fun
  2. On the driveshaft side of the hub there is 2 washers & 2 spacers. One spacer fits in the rear hub & rides on the bearing in there. I'm just having a hell of a time getting the rear hub back on with that other spacer right now. It does have 2 spacers on the right side & not 1 on each side? I'm starting to question myself right now lol
  3. So THATS what that things for :!: Thanks Jaap I'll try that right now.
  4. thanks to everyone for your help & advice I think I'll try the 14mm first.
  5. I'm getting ready to remove my rear wheel & I need the proper allen head wrench to get the pin out. I'm sure its metric but does anyone know what the size is? Oh btw since I'm removing the rear drive I've already removed the top bolt that attaches the rear drive to the linkage thing (not sure what it is or called). Anyone have any advice on the further removal process? I already know theres a shim in the rear drive I need to watch for...does it only fit right in one position? Hmm I should really clean that rear caliper while the wheels off too. Thats another thread though lol
  6. I like 36 front 37 rear myself, btw I'm about 165lbs fwiw
  7. Cool Sunday morning might just work for me! As long as Fed Ex does their thing lol. Even if they dont I'll probably drive down & check it out.
  8. I was wondering how many people will show up. Considering the weather may be nasty I dont know if I'll make it or not. In any case I expect to get my rear drive via fed ex on Saturday sometime. If I can do the job myself I'd like to get there maybe on Sunday or Monday if its still going on monday. If anyones passing near Canton on their way there or back let me know. I can provide you with a clothes dryer lol if its needed, hot coffee & a place to take a well needed rest. Unfortunately I have to work until 2pm tomorrow so I wont be here tomorrow am. But after that I'm off all weekend.
  9. I really like mine a lot. Its quiet & the visor is good & snug fitting. Pretty comfortable too
  10. I'm interested in a set of throttlemeisters or Manic Salamanders for my Rosso Mandello. What size works for each brand on my v11?
  11. I wonder what the asking price is? I know it sounds funny but I suppose if enough people wanted to buy it & make it a publicly traded company.... I'd buy some shares if they got the hp & displacement up + built some mgs o1's for the street. They could be easily profitable with a few tweaks. IMO of course
  12. Did the bike have plenty of oil? Maybe too much oil? Thats a motor that should last over 100,000 miles. Hopefully its something minor.
  13. Its all fun & games until that rear drive gear breaks lol Hopefully I'll have mine on the road next weekend. Btw I wont be trying anymore wheelies, I cant afford that much fun! Next year I'll get that Hayabusa I've been wanting for wheelies etc
  14. Wow! thats really bad. I cant believe we're having so much trouble with that paint. I'm thinking maybe you should just strip the old paint off & repaint it. Once the paint flakes like that theres no stopping it. Like I posted earlier if anyone knows what paint most closely matches the original, please let us know.
  15. I was wondering...what kind of paint would I want to buy if I want to paint over a silver rear drive, to match the black wrinkle paint. Can you buy a can of wrinkle paint? If not what would work best? Should I use primer over the silver paint first? Lol just a few questions today I'm really in withdrawal since my rear drive gear broke. Oh well I should have the replacement in next week sometime.
  16. Hey I really like that front fairing! What kind is it?
  17. I put a new gold anodized brake fluid reservoir on the bike today. It does look very nice. I also got a new carbon fiber type tank pad wich also looks cool. Ok DeBen.. no more goofing on my cheapo looking old tank pad! lol Now I need to get a matching reservoir for the clutch side. I'll post more pics soon
  18. Thank you Paul, I've emailed the seller & hope to have something worked out soon.
  19. I think you may be right about that. It doesnt look like it will fit my bike at all.
  20. I just bought a v11 crossover exhaust on ebay today. I dont know if its a stock item or not. Gues I just got auction fever lol if anyone knows anything about this part I'd like your http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...item=4550365569
  21. When I get mine fixed there will be no more riding it hard in any way (thats what I say now lol). Seriously I love the bike but I need another bike for horseplay.
  22. I was just out looking at the broken gear & its sheared quite cleanly about less than 1/8 of an inch from the connecting u joint. Its so smooth that it looks almost like its not a break at all. I'm not a machinist but it looks like I got a bad part. Oh well like I said I'll post several good pics when its removed & on a table.
  23. I can understand the mutual concern over this issue, as we all have the same bike. I will take many more pictures when I remove the gear from the box. Right now I'm just waiting on a rear drive so I can repair the problem. As for a warranty...I bought the bike from a private owner & its a 2001 so I think I'm toast there. Howver I will show the part to my local dealer.
  24. I have my oil level filled exactly at the top mark on my dipstick. If this is not good I'd like to know myself
  25. I dont know if there is a specific amount of torque for those bolts. I'd say as long as it holds the oil in there you've got it tight enough lol
