Helicopterjim, you're really out there man.. .............thats what l like about you good thing this thread is just about good 'ole fashioned hooters and not about gear grinders you going to be at Lonsdale Quay? which bike/bikes ?? Cheers Van
-
hmmm only if you push them in the right sequince at the right time otherwise you hear a rather fearfull noise, sort of like a mad yell or rant, followed by a slap, and in some cases a kick to the bollocks! ...stewardship of said buttons seem to be one of the key issues Cheers Van

Hi Steve G !! you bet l'll be there!!. .........l figure that there is about a dozen of us V11 form types in the general Western B.C. area. l've been pushing the ltalian car/bike day for awhile as well so l hope that we get a good turn out. bikes rule..(l just happen to think that is the one for me) Cheers Van

COOL !! all those neat black bikes together, l guess that those are the Scurista's who managed to get out of the club house while the others were left looking for ....... Tenni's? fellow dark riders (Harley types) the still hidding from clutch shrapnel

Hi'ya fellow Tennista!! Ferguzzi, l recall you were going to be in our neck of the woods right about now, and Rocketeer, where you doing a trip down from the Yukon passing this way about now?? if so look me up, the least l can do is toss a salmon on the BBQ and force a couple of cold ones down you !!....... this weekend is the ltalian bike/car day at lonsdale Quay in North Vancouver (18th)3 Tennista's all in the same place at the same time......could be cosmic!!!! Cheers Van

what about the endless discussions over Cod Piece or not ?? l'll start by throwing my vote in to the "yes" side, l was a firm anti Cod Piece advocate, prefering the wind in my hair and the freedom, and all that crap, but after a few close calls and hearing about riders getting horribly damaged, l switched. besides these new super light units made from composite materials have made all the difference, look really cool too with all the graphics available ride with confidence and safety !!! Cheers Van

Hi'ya Francesco !! l'm with you on the V 11's and the Tenni's in particular being the best looking bikes out there. l think that may have missed the mark a bit, as if you look to see what Ducati are doing now with their range of "retro" bikes, the Paul Smart, the GT 1000 and Sport 1000, and Triumph with their Thruxton etc. they are all trying to look like something old, while being new, just got it right by developing their original V twin sport bike over 30 years to get what we have in the V11's l saw a V11 Roso Corsa sitting next to a Sport 1000 at Skagit Powersports in Wa. a while ago, the Duck is as pretty as hell, but has Maquis deSade ergos, and looks like a new, old bike, while the Goose looks like, and is the REAL THING BABY !!!! l never heard about a trans re-call on the '02's...l got the very good guys at Valley Guzzi in Chilliwack to do my pawl spring on its last service, is that what they where talking about ?? all the best and here's to a good riding season. Cheers Van

AHH, Duffy lake rd. a bunch of guys on good bikes = lotsa fun !!!! my son and l do that loop once a year rain or shine, its fun, the sea to sky hwy. sucks though. all these fine pasta burners going to be at the ltalian day at Lonsdale Quay on the 18th ??? Cheers Van

Hi Giovanni !!! Summer is finally here and l hope to get a few decent rides in this year, Tenni # 125 is in fine shape after a tune-up and some new Mezler M1's. l've not been around alot to expand the search for more Tenni's but at least we do seem to be tracking the ones we do have. Did the virus that Jaap got effect your computer?... l can't open the registry ? lt's probably just me, l'll try again when l have more time. Keep in touch and have a great summer !! Cheers Van

Hey! she's just like my Tenni ! a timeless, clasical beauty with a beautiful face, great bloody jugs sticking right out there in the breeze, reasonably slim waisted , great big wide hips, long legged, over all, built for comfort as much as speed. a classy package from head to toe !!! Cheers Van
-
Belfast ol'e buddy, There IS hope for you, that is one sweet looking bike !! Cheers Van
-
And why not indeed !!!!! All items of a rare and beautiful nature are, gemstones, important works of art, V11 LeMans Tenni's ...... You know Belfast, you should really get over your fear of bolder colours, learn to embrace the positive! step out of your box a little, and stop dwelling on negative dark thoughts all the time, l mean, most of us are of a vintage that fell in love with those beautiful original LeMans 1's,and Sports, Green, and red with black frames, MV's in siver and red, Laverdas in orange and green, Ducati's in orange......the way you go on about black makes me feel that you a closet Harley bad biker wanta-be or rocker throw back ???? Cheers Van ps...good to hear from you, and that you are still on form !

Oi !! it's all good, you're Irish, you're a visiter to our fair parts, and it is a "Monza" isin't it? see ya there !! Cheers Van

All the way in a '65 Corvair Monza, coool !!!! hey l knew that VW's floated, but an ocean crossing Corvair !!!....must be that rear, air-cooled motor thing l guess lt's out doors, on the lawn at the quay and it's fun, l'll be easy to spot, (the Tenni and the guy with the big grin)...really look forward to meeting you, also as you're going to be on the island, give me a call when you get here, l'm only a couple of hours up the road. Cheers Van

Hi Steve ! The general plan is: A) get as many Guzzi's at Lonsdale as posible get to meet as many of you fellow reprobates as posible C) since l'm heading to either Oysoyoos, or Winthrop, ( hopefully with my brother on his M.V. Augusta 910 Brutale, all the way from Texas) afterwards anyway, and since there would hopefully be a gagle of geese from our general neck of the woods all together there anyway, go together for the ride afterwards, and overnight in either ?? OR ?? D) be lead astray by some of you bad boys to a local watering hole of ill repute, watch Helicopter Jim do wheelies, and only set off on my trip the following afternoon.. ..l don't do mornings with a hangover E) alternative sugestions ???? last year my son and l arrived at Lonsdale at about 11:00, hung out awhile and then hit the road at about 2:00, +-, travelling at a sane pace we were in Osoyoos in time for beers and burgers and to pitch our tent before dark on the other side of the lake at the lndian reserve campground. On our return trip we left Winthrop at about 9:30am and got through the border at the truck crossing no sweat, in time for a 3:30 ferry to the island and home in a rain storm by 7 or 8. Ciao, look forward to meeting you and others there. Cheers Van
