We are now going on for our 25th straight day of rain..............l'm going nuts!!!! if it rains for another 3 days we break a record.......oh yay !!! my feet are already webbed, l think that frog in my throat has turned to a duck as l'm starting to quack instead of cough....or maybe a goose, that would be good, yeah, a goose is better than a duck, right???.................... l know, l need to ride again : feel and see some sunshine fresh air, etc...so while l battle this bloody rain that is fast approaching biblical proportions, (and NO, l do NOT want to open that whole intellegent design vs evolution can of worms again) l need a simple, do at home with very basic skills project..... help! Tenni is stock save for great Mistral pipes and cross-over...suggestions ??? easy to follow suspension set-up perhaps?? What have you fellow Tennista done to your bikes?? Cheers Van

Ok, here we go, one of my favorite soap-box topics....... The whole issue of speeding has always been one that has pi**ed me off royally!! Seems that its a world-wide problem as well. Lets face facts, the majority of speed tickets are really nothing more than a tax/money grab by the local/provincial/state/what-have -you police/governments. l'm all in favour of laws to protect and to stop stupid peple from doing stupid things. However..the cost of speeding is totally out of keeping, in most cases, with the crime. My favorite example?? get caught going 40 (very, very easy to do on any competent motorcycle) over most places gives you a hefty fine, points on your licence, increased insurance costs, some places even jail. ...a true hastle if nothing else, as you are now " acting in a manor as to endanger society, yourself, being a public nusance," or worse. Now what happens if you are walking down the street, minding your own business, and a 15 yr.old walks up to you and for no reason slaps you hard in the face?? Do they get arrested ? charged with assault? go to jail? fined? etc. etc. .......no, as they are juveniles, they are above reproch, would they even get into trouble? What would happen to them ??..............nothing!!!! Now, as laws are out there to protect and serve society, which is more offensive to society in general? Going along a quiet piece of highway at a speed over what is deemed safe for the cage drivers, or smacking someone on the street ?? Seems kinda bass-ackwards to me. Don't get me wrong, l'm a very law abidding fellow, never speed myself you see, just wondering, thats all..... Cheers Van

Dr Gil !! Good to see that your beloved V11 is coming back to life!! l see that in the pic of the bike undergoing repairs you have the bike up on some sort of hydraulic stand. What are you using? Does it fit the pork chops (strange name) or do you just lift the bike on the sump?? Dunn'o ,but do l smell a rat?? or is that just an over-ripe Scurrista BFG falls off the radar after winding up the form with the "l,m getting rid of my baby" so called gentlemans test. Then the form gets it's collective nickers in an up-roar over"Global warming" that quickly mutated into a religious debate pitting some pretty well read and versed form members at each others throats, with some interesting discourse. Now, we find that he's gone missing again............ Could it be that he's hidding out in Australia under a pseudonym, causing havoc??? Pissed-off at Jaap 'cause there's NO Scurra in the Calendar? and chucked all his toys out of the play pen and is sulking?? Hey Jaap !! l was just thinking, if you were to combine the fantastic pictures of rolling art in the '06 Calendar, with some suitable "arty" pics of some lovelly young ladies, Then you'd have a genuine competitor to the Pirelli Calendar that is so highly thought of. All that talk about rattle cans and black paint......is this the Scurra thread?? lf l where to do this l'd use Tamiya model paint, the kind for modelcars/planes etc. or even Testors, which is more readily available,and their primers, never rattle can paint from an auto store. They are plastic specific and come in a great variety of colours. l have painted helmets with these paints and found that they stood up pretty well. Good Luck !! Cheers Van
