  2. Moi??? Never Sir!! although l do have a fondness for crumpet, er, l mean cookies, and have always harboured a secret desire for Ohlins, nothing! no, Nothing could ever win me over to your dark side!! Besides, there's just to many of you and we all know Tenni's are "Special" Good try though, Cheers Van
  3. Ha!! Tennista's seduced by the dark side?...NEVER!!!! typical scarry Scura ploy to lure unsuspecting and innocent Tennista's over to the dark side!! You think we can be bought for the price of a cookie??? Ha!! (well, it depends on whose cookie, but thats a different topic) Try again oh dark ones!! Cheers Van

Hi Ferguzzi!! You fellows on the other side of the pond probablly have the low down on what was standard and what was not. Giovanni seems to have a good handle on what was standard as well. An owners manual....mmmm must be nice! And glad that you confirmed the White Power rear shock.. thanks Cheers Van ps.watch out for those slow moving Scura's you'll blast past them without even noticing
  5. Cheers Van
  6. Poor little fella, l'd be crying too if l was shown a Tenni and then told that l couldn't have one, (they ARE so rare, you see) but then told that one day l'd turn into a fine chap who could ride a Scarry Scura Cheers Van
  7. Napoleons?? Send a pic, do they vibrate as badly as the O.E.M.'s? My son and gave up on a blast up Mt. Baker this June, it was pissing rain and the roads where slick from the logging trucks, besides, we had just had a GREAT ride over the Cascades from Winthrop and were still enjoying that high when we hit the rain. Cheers Van
  8. Nice Bike Mister!!! Cheers van

Standard Tenni equipment? The fact that l noted that the Tenni's have a "White Power" rear shock seems to caused comment. The ref. to that shock simply comes right off the Moto Guzzi N.A. press release. Cheers Van ps. Hey Rocketeer, l forgot to mention the Darmah... cool project , l have a buddy here who's got a couple of earlier Ducks including a Darmah and a recentlly purchased 750 F1....very cool bike indeed!! Also, that l didn't get an owners manual either, and like you would like one. tried both the dealer, and M.G. N.A. with no luck at all Cheers

Hi Rocketeer! How's Thunder Bay?......winter come in hard yet? We're still not too bad yet on the lsland but haven't had the chance to get out this month due to work on the fair days and rain (what else) on days off! l got zipp all from the dealer, too bad really, as a little after sales shmoozing always goes a long way. l got the cert. of ownership from Michelle Vallure, Customer relations, M.G. N.A. after l pestered the hell out of them. The only difference between my #125 and your #139, while they where at the dealership, was that you have the suede seat and carbon pipes, and l have the black seat and regular V11 pipes. Cheers Mate! Thank God you didn't make reference to those ratty bloody douche rags, opps, sorry, dew rags, that Harley riders all seem to favour!! Cheers Van

Cute you're quite the funny guy you know Which must be hard for such a black hearted Scurista. where do you find the sh*t you come up with? don't you have a job or something to keep you busy?? oh well, at least it keeps you off the roads, and from being a mobile chicane, so that serious riders can tackle those fast roads and mountain passes. Cheers Van
  15. thought that was going a bit to far......sorry, l just got caught up in the memory of blasting up mountain passes Cheers Van

    Tenni equipment

As anyone who follows this forum knows l'm a Tenni nut. l always wanted a Guzzi and the Guzzi l wanted was a V11, l was just very lucky enough to get a Tenni!! (yes l like all V11's, even the Scuras, l just like to keep them in their place thats all) Tennis are unique in that only 170 where made, 150 was the original number but they incressed the run to 170. Right from the start the Tenni was designed to be the "top of the Guzzi sport line" with that very neat and special classic "racing" green paint job based on M.G.'s As far as l know they are the only V11's that use a Marzocchi fork with titanium sliders. They also came with; Carbon Fiber exhaust cans, two seats, one suede, the other black, C.F. dash, White Power rear shock, each bike is numbered, with its # being on the dash pannel each bike came with a "certificate of ownership" from M.G. and signed by President. Eng. Ivano Beggio Anything else l've missed?? please let me know

Ok! Ok! enough of the Scura's trying to send "our" site into a mumble jumble like theirs! l really DO want to know how you fellow Tennista keep your babies looking beautiful? What do you use on your paint, and how do you keep your pipes clean and looking thier exotic best?? (and no, l don't want to hear from Belfast and the other Scura's telling us to use a can of black B.B.Q. paint) Cheers Van
  18. Ohh My Gawd !!!! Do you mean to tell me that it's not just us fine Tennista with crappy engine paint but the Scuristas too?? Oh, Oh, if we have things in common we might just start to get along !! Cheers Van
  19. Steepest Hills? Not too sure, but l think the steepest hill in these parts is the great climb as you head east on Hwy. #3 coming out of Osoyoos towards Rock Creek in the southern B.C. interior. Always an absolute blast, and as close as it comes to flying on two wheels, the grade is good and steep and looong, the road smooth and wide, and the traffic (what traffic) scarce. And the sound of a Guzzi, using its great torque as it obliterates that hill is, well just so damned perfect that it brings a tear to my eye!l The other great climb is the one just coming out of Hope, again on Hwy.#3 as you pass the spot of the Hope Slide (check it out, the whole side of the bloody mountain came away) long and wide, it seems to go on forever and by the time you get to the top, you are SOO far ahead of that annoying slow traffic on the Trans-Canada that you can start to unwind and enjoy the rest of a great ride. Right behind my house on Vancouver lsland is Mt. Washington, and a great climb, spoiled by the fact that they use a chip and spray surface that is a bit too loose for serious up-hill blasting. Cheers Van
  20. Hey Belfast, for once l do agree with you Thats the look we Tennista get watching you scura-ring away from the twisties and mountain passes in fright to go back to the urban blight where you seem to thrive! Come on, Get out there, try the fun roads, and leave the boring ones to the Harley riders. Besides, at least all (yes even the dreaded Scura) Guzzis Can rock and roll down some interesting bit of pavement, and not have to be parked at a bar or coffee shop to look cool. ahem,... l DO hope that you're not always parked at the pub supping Guiness? mmmmmm? doesn't sound all that bad? Cheers Van

    Ireland and V11s?

Hey Ferguzzi! yes, a can of worms has been opened, and yes, l can kinda understand it, as Martin says, it does seem to be like the Canada/USA/North America thing. Say, did l hear someone mention sharing a pint or several?? Glad to see the Canadian perspective kicking in !! Cheers Van
  22. Ahh, get over it would ya! l still recon that you'll soon tire of that flashy yankee slut and go back to that slim waisted, big hipped and faithfull pasta burner of yours! Forever ! Cheers Van
