This Sunday the 17th will be the italian bike/car day at Lonsdale Quay in North Vancouver. 1) who will be there ??..any Stratavariants ??? 2) can we organize to meet as l'd really like to meet some of my fellow V11 riders ? 3) maybe the first one there can set up some sort of display area ??....l can only get there at about 11:30-12:00 ...the trip down the island/ferries etc. 4) go for beers or something at lunch, or before everyone heads out ?...my son and l use this as the start point of a weeks riding and usually set out for the hills at about 2:30/3:00 Cheers Van ....opps! that would be the "Italian"... bike and car day ...sorry, too much Cheers Van

Absolutly awesome pics and commentry Orson! and all on a Tenni you are doing the trips l can only dream of,....oh well, who knows, maybe one day. my dad was also at Monte Casino, having come up through the North African campagnes, the landings at Sicily and Italy with the South African Sappers (engineering corps) attached to the 8th army. He also didn't talk about the war save for his sorrow at seeing Monte Casino bombed to rubble, and how he loved Italy and especially Rome and Tuscani. Ah Hah!!! Did you all notice the colour???? That beautiful shade of Tenni green .... interesting looking bike, could this be the new Guzzi sporting bike???? has everyone seen the article in the current "Motorcycle" mag that has pics of the new Guzzi on/off road adventure bike that was snapped by a bad boy at a Guzzi dealer meeting...it's said to be a worthy BMW GS competitor.. time will tell l guess. Ah, time to break out the "English-Scots" dictionary then, and yes you do have to pay special attention to Glaswegian vs Edinbroughez, you'll know you have the right one if it contains a reference to the ancient and time honoured Scots marshall art of " fa-que" as to the correct pronounciation of "Guzzi" it is as stated, and as told to me by a very serious Italian gentleman in his 80's who was admiring the sound of my Tenni told me that..."Ahhh, THATS'a motorcycle, ....ahh thats'a sound .....magnifico" "Goo-tze"...best said all rapped up in your best Italian accent, right shoulder slightly hunched, your right index and pointer fingers against your thumb with a slight up-down motion while saying ... "Moe-toe Goo-tze" Cheers Van
