Well that's the problem with plastic stuff, theere should be good quality surfacers applied before painting and at certain temps and even then the paint job is done OK, it won't last as much as on a metalic surface. Guzzi have false choice on getting plastic stuff on their bikes. I would suggest Createx auto-air series for painting plastics as well , hands down.

Impressions are impressions and can stay in memmory, as long as there isn't a fresh test considering 2 different bikes you can not know for real:2c: I still remenber that day when I had first seen a Daytona pass through me with a 851 and i was totally flipped with the Guzzi, I knew that was my ride and (sine my I love 2V) I got the Sport. Long story short, don't regret anything cause the supertwin you got probably (though IMO it does) knock down in all areas bikes as superport ducatis, whether that is aesthetics, and exlusivity,or handling and power delivery. I had the chance to step on a supertwin when I have visited Ghezzi- Brian workshop, and the bike had such a light feel to it. Since it's your custom made gem, I would suggest to keep it.My self, I have back problems for the last 12 years and more intence the last 5. Personally I know, I always have the desire to ride my Guzzi and only that bike, so finnaly that's what I do .

You could opt for the new 1200S Guzzi , I think it could take bags and so on.Offers nice open kit and according to some tests I have read is also one of the best allrounders.

Get some descent tires such as the Metzelers Z6 or the Pirelli stradas for your bike.

I have subtituted the air filter with a BMC, gave 60Euros and won't mess with it anymore. All it needs is a bit cleaning (correct proscces-no compressed air ,but the liquid and some oiling every 20K km or so). There are some arguments on this subject , but none of them is provable. I use theOEM fuel filters and there are some euivelent from UFI as well for 30% of the OEM, though have not tried them yet.

Last summer in German ebay it was raining new WP forks for the sport (something like 10 of them were sold in less than a month or so, with prices ranging on 280-360Euros) and up and then pops up something if you have some patience for search. I didn't got any ,yep that was a bit foolish to miss these bargains, but they pop up and I'm here. There is also HMB that sells them new but about 1000Eur. is think. Can direct you to a couple of ebay Guzzisti that were selling some forks,if you need.

I wouldn't suggest to wear a cheap sunglass, you'll do harm your eye sight.(never had a ray-ban pair brake or give up)As far as the other stuff it is a matter of taste actually (with some added performance cuase good stuff don't break easy or not at all) Who cares what others wear or do ?, when you wear or use something, do it because you like it,or need it or whatever. Bond wears omega lattely, so better stick to your first choice if that's your point. With so many replicas around on the perticular brand.(and so damn well made at the looks) I would stay away from that pictured watch for many reasons, but then again IMO is a bit overpriced. Well it's a matter of taste at the end of cource.Nothing will make you a better person ( only your thoughts and actions can) or superior , or whatever. -

I'd suggest you a Breilting Colt series or a superocean (from aeromarine series). The most "economic' B'lings (especially with a strap)but some of the sturdiest and most accurate in the world. Not all saphire crystals are the same since there are also some synthetic cheap ones. a visit on http://www.breitling.com/en/ click on made by Breitling and find out. Needles to say that Breitlling is the only brand in the world that all their models and their mechanisms are COSC certified. And no matter how much I have punished my other B'ling Hercules in past couple of years it is as good as new. Nice thoughts.A best quality made watch that's sporty will last any kind of "punishment" you push to it.Apart from that I am not boasting anything , though I have to defend my self when I get teased.hehe Personaly I am a very private person and cause I know who I am I don't need any reasurance or impression to or from anyone.. But oh I forgot ,others can boost about the "right" stuff on a motorcycle forum (this or that bike they may have) and perhaps self assume they have or are inferior than others. -

Watch is a piece of art that will work intact in many decades, with saphire on it and golden parts , ect.ect. And it isn't taged at it's price as'collectabe' to justiy it's value, it's mostly handmade and a very unique piece with a 30secs chronograph, perhaps the only one ever made so , and it isn't priced 'specially' about it or taged'limmited edition', even though few pieces are made each year. It won't devaluate as well. Not really pilots watch this one though the company does some and it is their 'image'.This one belongs to Bentley series, dedicated for the street-speed. Anyone can think what they want, and who cares -

Hahaha. I can assure you pal I could buy 5 or 6 of them with a snap of my fingers when goin into my bank. Now anyone can get jealous of what Santa brought me. Buying iron (or other not valuable materials..) at high prices that are covered with the so called collectable tag IMO is for the mentally retarded. -

I agree on that with you.I don't give a damn about old iron and no matter what it is it's really funny to see people spending(relatively) "big" money on "old mummies" that they will finnally not use themselfs , just because they are(supposed to be or are) "collectable". And all these collectomanialewdness(on any subject) it is kind of sick,or worthless thing to do . Specially cause the buyer ain't oing to be using it but keep the "mummie" to become more collectible in some years. Practically speaking y' know something if it ain't gold or platin (or at least some kind of jewllery) then it ain't got an objective worth. So don't spent too much money on iron except it you got so much you don't know what to do with them, but then if you want to throw them out of the window, but then, you can give me a call , I'll wait with my small basket outside -
Yeah just saw his , and want to take my silencers away. Any recomendations for super high noice silencer for my Guzz? I have seen *and heared( at the GMG when everyone was away at the last day, there were some guys working at the factory and started up the Dakar bike that was on the exhibishion. Holly cow I have never ever heared a louder pipe in my life.. I have it on video , hope to get it on line sometime. I want some of these, I want some of these, I want some of these,.....

Don't fix anything if it ain't broke. Well at least you did what you had to do , lube it precautionary, checked it and it works fine. Mine-veglia doesn't give indication unless I go over10-15 mph/. (allways did so)

You'll need the vacum sticks to adjust the balance fo the throtle bodies as mentioned before.Other than that TPS voltage has to be adjusted, this can be done with the help of additional software (i.e. technoresearch.com has this VDSTS program with the adaptors for your bike) it can also be done with a voltometer joined at the approriate points at the sensors output. Then you'll need the simplest version of VDSTS to see the egrees of the throtle position as well as other parameters ,so you'll set the things right. Gas analyser will help for the adjustment of the idle trim, (potentiometer adjusted ,found somewhere in your ECU). this adjustment affects the leanness or richness of your fuel at idle and partially also till 3000rpm. The workshop manual gives some instructions on how to, but searching on the forum you'll find quite a few approaches to this subject as well, wich are more analetical. P.S. I use the carbtune for the TB's http://www.carbtune.com/

Change very time that has to be changed.every 3.5-4k miles or once a year if less miles are in it has to be chaned., if you want to use your bike now an the oil is a bit old then change it now. I change my oil 2-3 times a year (9-12Kkm) and the motor is like new inside (yes have opened it recently)

I think I'll switch these damn computers off and do something else. none can have acces to my PC anyways. Problem caused by not accepting cookies , though I have it set up to accept cookies , and so the only thing I suspect is that since hotmail diasable from October the acces from outlook to all it's accounts except the premium (pay for) the probably entered some kind of dll or other comand with the new IE7 so that the sychronization from outlook won't go. Answer is if there is anyother email client substitute program that can accept HTTP accounts, any?......(no thunderbird doesn't)
