  1. Hi , I have emailed you the manual plus the seals pic , these are the only ones you should try. As they are the original part no. and do are exactly what this fork needs. Notice the inside spring ring ,in both sides, that supports the seal.!
  2. Had the seals replaced a couple of years ago, my friend who knew about forks didn't have any difficulty removing anything with the manual as a guide, even if that was his first time opening a WP guzzi fork. I will attempt to upload the manual section of this There are 7 pages covering the fork removal, here is the parts you're mostly interested. Due to limmited atchement space I cant post any more here, but I could email you the whole 1100i Sport Wrksp manual if you don't have it. Just drop me a PM if you are interested. Yes it's a bit big 8-9MB .pdf and be sure your eimail has space for it. hint , after draining the whole oil take care of the oil replaement The manual states 400ml on each fork , on my last change that I didn't change the seals, just did regular service once a year for oil renewal, 400cc on each was too much and after 1km ride it blew the safety locks away and oil was drained all over. so I removed the fork again and regulated the oil to 250-270cc on each leg. Now I don't remember how much oil I have added when the fork was completelly stripped out when I have changed the seals. It is though possible that I have one the 400cc as manual says(on each leg) and at the regular service some oil was left inside Sure thing is that the level of the oil was too high reaching almost the top of the fork (yes did the up-dowm movements for the oil to ''settle in'' ) I guess the oil level should be something like10-15cm down from top of the fork.
  3. You can say that again.! It's all a joke. 50% +1 is crap. Aristotele said : 'The voted is oligarchic the picked out of the lot is democratic.'' Sorry bout the translation. but it's about that meaning. ''Protection of personal data'', and so on, but they spy on your bank account, anything you buy, anyone you phone, ect. ect. It's the modern days peepers as I call them. Soft dictatorship that's what it is, delicatelly ''cut'' on how and at what people of each place can bear and the people accept it just because on their point of view and ''safety''it will be easy for them when something goes wrong to point their finger and say there , that , this..
  4. What's finnaly the result ? on the ''competition''?
  5. Even if winning so many more customers than what they have now I doupt if so many bikes can be produced in the Mandello facillities. and 2. It can't happen , have you a chance to see the new line up of BMW ?, strategically after attacking Japan high speed cruisers and powerfull naked they're attacking the KTM, as well now. As far as reputation goes BMW's happen to have just a bigger name on their bikes than Guzzi, just plain fact. BMW's have less character than Guzzis ,and that's all The small difference is that BMW and Maserrati are in high performance area, Guzzi isn't (at the moment)
  6. BMW is in the class of aroun 65.000 units on motorcycles per year,So competing that is out of the question. And personally I find it hard to withdraw BWM customers (who don't give a darn about sexines on a bike in the vast majority)Reliability perhaps? that's an issue, after sales service perhaps? Yep that's also a serious issue on atracting new customers or even older customers , like very corectly Deben says : Guzzi can produce and does most of the time very nice bikes , all they need is: good after sales network and a engine performance of 10-20% higher from what's now on their new models. ,i.e. the aprox.85Hp of the Norge should be 105 (on clutch talking) Though it is going on a better than ever path till now with Piaggio. Ducati seems to be a ferrari though IMO hopefully Guzzi doesn't got be a masserati (however nice and sexy they can be)they break down too often. To me seems more like a substitute for Nevada than the Calli, Eventually I think that the callis could very possibly get the 1200 motor latter on.
  7. I couldn't see the site sign ,like this...
  8. In fact it is stupid, .Not my game anyways really, but that's how it goes anyways I'm not a watch collector and it is very unlikely to become one.I like using what I have , not just collecting them that's so stupid. Though for me,down at personal preference, it's more than just looking at the time , I want something to have it for a lifetime excellent performing and perfcet looking, so I have a Breitling at my wrist,it's more like an instrument than just a watch. It's only a matter of taste actually , it is like wine, I'd mostly enjoy drinking a nice Brunello di Montalcino than a cheap production one and I can feel the difference (because there is one). And my moto (at least to myself) is: ''See it as you like but don't get crazy or too serious about it''
  9. I don't follow political threads , and the last one as well. Stick around dlaing you have given quite some to this forum , chill out and give it a go. The only ones that get credit from politics are themselfs , who are getting in a position to steal peoples money.so supporting one or other is a somewhat stupid behaviour. Hopefully their days to be counted at the moment the'll start taking more measures against Man....you'll see what I mean.
  10. Now, If I get one of these in some years time (20 ) will be able to have multiple value of what it is now. Vey few made, very perfect, very exclusive, tourbilon movement, and it has a perhaps never seen before (with even the week of the year as well in) perptual calendar +chronograph !!!!..amazing..
  11. Descripion is as follows: Good preserved carbon-back cover for the V11 lemans, fits all models, good quality,Optically TOP,at the edges some tiny flaws in the clear coat, but not any damages. bla..bla..bla... Can send to European union , in this case 20EUR. p&p
  12. Griso is indeed nice looking bike , the 8V is refined and the new exhaust adds in style as well. The 1200S is also a very good effort with potencial. I guess (I hope) the new 8V will be further tested and developed till March 2007? And or couple of versions can be made...perhaps.
  13. I personally compared a right out of the box 1100i Sport with a right out of the box 1200 twin spark Norge(measured from Motorrad magazine). None is expecting monster HP from a Guzzi though bigger cc and other mods should bring a bike at least a bit hgher than previous models. For the rest also expressed what is expected. As far as the Beemers go , it is very unlikelly for Guzzi to compete them for obvious reasons. BMW has upgraded all it's models , heve a ''faithull'' customers ''audience' , perhaps only new customers is that Guzzi can target and it seems it is getting good to that, as I see the new models have sold more than before.
  14. Well MGS has the same radiator with the V11 if hat tells you something, perhaps a tiny bit deeper sump and that's all for these extra 35HP What I am pointing out is that though the Guzzi motors have the potential whether (2V) or 4v to produce some nice HP what's getting out of the factory , even withh added mods such as the twin spark and more cc, it oesn't ad any poer at al. It is hard for me to believe that is the Euro 3 to blame for n estimated 20% decrease on power ,or more.
  15. The radiator is more than enough for the Guzzis we have,so don't worry about it, since the motor is exposed it loses tmp rapidly at speeds ove 70mp/h .In cold enviroments oil warms up also slow. Don't need to tell me anything I have measured it with my diagnostic software while driving. Besides the 140+ HP Guzzilas don't have a cooler at all, just a big V sump with external filter. I remember that GSXR 1100 92 model with oil cooler about same sise as in Guzzis (more or less if I remember well) For the same reason that my ''old'' 1100i Sport produces 82 rear wheel HP right out of the box and a 1200 Norge twin spark barely passes the 82 at the clutch!!!
  16. Concerning the MGS design , are you sure that the new 8V motor on Grisom can be fit to the MGS chasis? So perhaps something completly new has to be made (concerning chasis as well) They can do it but it will take time I guess.
  17. Agree , btw why all you guys have to ask your wifes to get (if it is that for the asking) a bike, if you really want something just go and get it , it's your money or?
  18. I wouldn't expect 130 rear wheel HP from such a motor and Euro 3 , that's not possible. But 120 even at the crank would be logical, though I don't think they're going to do it. BTW the V11 is air/oil cooled , or what is it then and why?
  19. IF they're going to get only 100HP out of a 1200 8V machine that's pretty well underperformance , Even BMW got 124 HP on their new 1200, how embarasing it would sound , IF..... Perhaps they should start building coffee machines.Credits to the designs though-
  20. Basic rule of a thumb I have understood over the years is: 'Don't break anything , or at least you should have a spare' Yes it's really hard to forsee.
  21. Though the below are NOT any kind of silly remark or hill-bill chat I post it here as of not Guzzi relevant, but it could be , cause owning all these pieces one could have a serious chair in Guzzi. Don't get me wrong but rarrities have big value, such as this one LANGE & SÖHNE 18kt Well me gran gran pa didn't like to buy some of these when they were out ,but I guess nothing could have gained so much value over the years. Definatelly as value as this one got from '72 as only 38 pieces were produced. PATEK PHILIPPE 18kt This one is an older , but I wouldn't mind if I already had it instead fo the above. PATEK PHILIPPE 18kt Yep that darn gold stays in time , don't you think-? And here are some ''cheaper'' ones IWC 18kt ,UNION GLASHÜTTE not so long ago...PATEK PHILIPPE 1994 Anyways how diffucult is to invest on some things that over the years take value? It is a risk , only time and luck can tell. And don't get me wrong I mean the value they had back then compared to now, for sure their cost wasn't that much back then(few , or more years) In this case , time is an investment if one could have such pieces when they first came out.
  22. I'd say from nice oppening with 2 cyl. &4cyl. machines going through the speakers 1.
