Thanks a bunch for the info ,Do these breva ones fit in a Sport 1100i? The 29084450 is the one mine uses as well. I order from Agostini here in Europe that I am. I'd be glad to order from you if they don't have them.

Super time wasting games
Alex-Corsa replied to jrt's topic in Special place for banter and conversation
I only got to 3-4th stage too boring. indeed a time waster 2 min. was enough , is there anything with Guzzis? i.e. how far can you fix it- -
I don't know , but if it's going to take long to .. get a proper sporty bike in the market I think I'll have to invest some money to buy a Leman or a motors the fastest of it's kind. Yes I am fast , worked now

Thinking to change my clutch plates on my 1100iSport , sometime in the future , what are the clutch plates you would suggest (if link available then post too). I have heared that the ones from Guzzi are pretty good ones, then again I have found also these in ebay ,from Frentubo as the seller said to me. Any suggestions about what lasts better out of experience will be wellcome TIA

Antonio , empty your PM folder to send you a PM. OK?

I agree , a sportsbike is needed. The monster hp is not of importance and anyway are not usefull at all in everyday sport riding. The 105-115 mark that Guzzi can have , are enough, the chasis is of greatest importance in a bike. And Guzzis have that as well.

With open mapping a 1200 twin spark 2V Guzzi can get up to 117HP at the clutch. MGS with 124 HP at the wheel you mean. And the street version (these made in Germany MGS, with lights and so on) ''wet weights'' 215kg Guzzi gives it for 192kg dry weight.

My new GP-PRORossi Mugelo helmet has just arrived. Forza Italia!!! (not meaning the politics though...lol )

Nice , promising motor, great!!!. The exhaust still remains too thick though, but aftermaret changes that as well. Well , is i the'real deal'? or another photoshop thing?

...thanks

OK , well Daes-Mototec is selling some for 600Eur a piece , rather high price for me to give, the back corners are a bit cut off and the shock absorber can be visible, stylistically this fit more to a V11 IMO.

Looks great, do you have a carbon airbox as well? If so where and how much?
-
Speaking of clutch, I plan to have mine opened to change the clutch disks , any idea of what's the longer lasting ones? Are these any better than the ''original' parts.?Seem to be in a nice price.

My Sport corsa came with the same front brakes as the 996 & 996 SPS.

I'd vote for the big V sump, the mighty acceleration Guzzilas are using them so there's no need of other proof that they work right You get more oil capacity in the oil carter so generally better cooling (if you need that too) . Though a plate is of a lower budget and that's what one can concider ,and I guess it can be enough for low PS bikes

That sounds interesting , there was already a patent , as seen at the GMG 06 ,for converting the 2V heads to 4V , so no belt drive was needed, perhaps it would be something close to that?
-
Perhaps you won't have to spend as much ,If you stop ''moneypiting'' your V11 there will be still one money pit around (1200S if you get it).And since the company has released standard mods to the bike you won't have to go any further. So that would be only temporary money pit.

You mean maps for the Ti exhaust set because the ECU whatever it may be it is sort of bypasse from the PCIII so it doesn't play any role,or?. Take care though that better mapping is done on any bike it's self AND mapping directed for USA users have different affect (more rich) than a map one could use here in Europe because of the different gasoline standards. So too rich = less HP as well. Much less as i one is a bit leaner

Yep , the way they want to , but that's a luxury we are ''allowed'' to have and indeed is a luxury not a necessity. If you had a japanese bike for instance , these cheap quality things you'll need at least some thousand $$ to improve the suspension and the brakes (at least brake disks that the default ones wear out after20-30K km) And there if you look at magazine there are $$$ going on for improving high engine performance, suggested to the people , things that they of cource don't need Moto Guzzis are mostly hand build and with good quality components, how that can get to ''chaep'' prices? Guzzi never was on that league of chaepness in components and I hope they never will. Besides, Guzzi doesn't have the potencial to reach production numbers of BMW or Ducati, all they need for me is a good sales and service network. Guzzis are exclusive bikes and I hope they'll remain so.

Dog and Cat Diary
Alex-Corsa replied to helicopterjim R.I.P.'s topic in Special place for banter and conversation
I seriously like cats ,have 2 of them and I find some posts here just plain bul$h**t , Cats surpace the IQ of a dog by miles, they only need high IQ people to understand them and they are more independent, that's all .All th love they get they give it back for sure.Definatelly some dogs are intelligent too , and can get easier-closer friendhips with the boss. I like dogs too , as long as they are Bull Terriers. just lovable. My next pet purhase -
I guess it all depends the mapping of the PC3 and the Racing ECu ,If the ECU is specially developed for this set up , just leave it on and save the hassele of new mapping on a PC3.Or you can try fitting it and see which mapping the bike rides and behaves better.Even more you can fit an AFR system at the bike and document what and how is it going on.

It is very unlikely to see any kind of sportsbike from Guzzi. You see , a 160PS 2Cyl. motor was already made since 8-9 years ago.Now if Guzi was supported to show the kind of a character it had in the old days , with speed record braking and race winning that would have happened by now and they'd have a sporty bike in their rooster. But they don't and unfortunatelly as it seems to me until now they won't. I hope I am wrong on this though. As far as the ''Road leagal'' MGS , I have heared this joke some years now, and I haven't laughed at all.
-
Prices are predictable,Guzzi has a price range about that *** for ther models. Was mostly jockingTo tell you the truth ,it is very hard to be interested for a new model. Still haven't found anything to impress me more that what I have.So I better set up for something else,i.e. a watch, than a bike.

So there's going to be three new models coming out for Milan.? Can one buy the models direct from the show? (E.D. I pay always in cash)
