Nope that shouldn't happen.You mean you swhtchi the key on after switching it off to stop the engine? Don't use a kill switch to stop the engine,but turn off the key. If you turn iit on after you have stoped it the battery light should be there lighting on(still with engine not started)

What's the importance of going full throttle on 6th, isn't it enough on a 2nd or 3rd speed on?

Anyone knows what are these Mike Rich pistons? What about Cosworth. don't they make anything for our Guzzis, or other forged ones on the market? Are these Feraccis forged? (same goes about Mike's) And since the can of worms is opened , yes there are the titanium valves and puschrods, are they a healthier conversion than other steel one kits (on the valves ) I mean. Weight is gained along with what can this bring to performace , as well titanium is antimagnetic as well, so let me hear your opinions here on this

Why didn't you try something like running on higher octane Gas and use iridium sprak plugs. I nevere heared a Guzzi ping (here in Europe) of if it had faulty valves and low octane Gas.

Would like to hears anyones opinion on this one Innovate Wideband LM-1 Air / Fuel Meter and what's the difference of this sensor that uses(stated asA Bosch 5-wire-WOS) with the Bosch LSU4/LSU4.2 sensor? Or is it the same?

It seems to me also so intergrated that you don't need any other sources. What it may need would be an compatibility or it's own software to make diagnosis on the bike's Sensors, Fuel pump,Injectors and so on, Or does it do all these already??? Perhaps wiht a software so you have screen monitoring on those.

Well I don't find anything relative at the moment.There are a few diagrams there , mostly on finnal results and when not , there isn't either any PC deafault-custom info. As I have seen right now the QuatD thing must have the worst performace for the bike compared to others , i.e.MG Ti's(87whp according to thread) or whatever else out there.

I feel ill already .That;s a catch ,none is messing till now with advance and dual spark in such a unit.(for the Fi's-see below) . That's an interesting thing to do, sth like a "spark optimizer"(with more or less features). There is a lot of "meat: in the spark I think

Your answers fill me with understanding about the unit and more questions. i.e. lets say that you have made your real time adjustments on the road. are these saved by somekind , or can you use different saved maps while on the road, so you can swhitch back and forth in those mappings? Yep that will go , but to tell you the truth and from what I hear and see now on , Cliff's system (My ECU) seems to be the most intergrated and reliable thing at the moment,yet cost effective- for what it can do. I wanted to dig the Marelli so I went to the "hard" way of "do it your self" -as allways for the moment and because I never fail I believe my researches will offer me most experience on the subject and I may help some others. And perhaps is a mistake spending all these money(and time) the "other way" I chose, cause I think , if you want your mind at ease and a perfect healthy running bike go buy the MyECU thing I think though that there will come a time that I'll get bored(complete my tunning goals) with all these stuff and start the My16M thingie.

So it's more clear that this had to do with the mapping.Definatelly the sensors have their role on this.(as ratchethack states.) There you have it. So WTF is going on these sensors, can't they be changed to some more sophisticated ones.? I wonder what these people doing on these companies, they are supposed to do so advanced stuff, yet they fail blatandly to do bring the task at hand. Were they drunk when they were producing them??

Interesting post,giving light to the "dark side" of this ECU rebuild and I mean finding an old ECU emptying it out and reconnect the OBD port thingie. Though I have grown up building electronic kits with the soldering iron there are some years I have not messed up with that...now all these pics brought memmories back P.S.edt. What's hat poti on the left side of the optimizer doing? I hve also seen thattere is a also PC thingie that can adjust the ingnition curves, now that's also interesting. I hope that doesn't require to have the MyECU unit to work. I guess I'll have to contact Cliff for this

Read here.Dyno Graphs -German actually from our relative German Guzzi "brotherhood" is a thread about dyno graphs. The first post in the second page says about the default PCIII map that works quite O.K. with 86,5Wps Definatally dyno runs can help for more personalised maps which the default are not (and they're not supposed to) .I believe that personalising would be when someone reaches for something very exact in the way he rides.But then again to tell you the truth there is difference in ridability in what and how the dyno says and what actually gets on the street.And costs are for everyone up to decide. Personally I would care for mine about having a healthy running motor, and afterwards to fit the gas consumption and power to the level I will need at my way of driving.

I know that about Sporti's Vs V11 ECU's is just that learning more about the subject is better, perhaps in the future get also a bike with the 15M thingie.

Well a 400 mile isn't a far away distance,when on tour, so you may just put the route in your schedule since you plan to do both.
