That's for sure and would be really stupid to try how the other side is, Ichange my oil in aprox. every 2700-3K miles tops,I use either Motul V300 competition 15-50 or the Rock Oil 15-50 also full synthetic and ONLY Full synth, and as a result the engine is in excellent condition. Yep the last time I opened it having an already 66+K km is was in excellent condition,..pheeeww Therefore because of frequent changes I change oil filter every 3rd oil change (about 8-9K miles tops) Or when (IF) I change the brand of the oil I'll use(regardless the miles)

Thanks Guzz , if it isn't time consuming for you , can you drop a few words on how this is used? How does someone insert? it to the tires? Thanks and cheers

Here's the chip and the accses to it under the riders seat is the metal box where you remove the rubber cup. Be carefull on how to pull out this thingie and allways have the bike disconected (better key in the pocket) and then do. What is finnaly the symptoms on your Corsa Al.?

I have seen these valve covers once that they fit into the valve "stick" and stay there. They re made for exact pressure measurments and each time the pressure is higher or lower that it's supposed to be they change their color on top accordingly. Yep got it here Tyre Pressure Monitors I think I'm goin to get some now. The seller is in U.K. so you might as well check it out. Take ntice that they are made for exact tire pressures Speaking of tires , anyone knows about this Ultraseal Puncture Preventative ??

And what's that? Used tires that have been ,re made- reworked to have grooves? If it is so , oooops no thanks then
-
Lattely I have seen these coloured tires and though I have hered before I didn;t know that they exist Colored tires also here or here Well had anyone heared about these tires they are advertised as of excelent made ,ect.ect. are there any real experiences with those? P.S. They do look funny as well perhaps "too much" when fitted on a bike

Perhaps Guzzi wasn't able (or willing)to invest on improving 4V engines' performance ,and or for the reasons "Murray" explains above.
-
But an incredible place to live, quite as well.
-
Hehe that's a fact. The best would be to get it to production so that there would be a sport motorcycle on the new series line up.

Happy new year, Have health and shiny Guzzi

Here you go , About the oil filter I'd only suggest the correct tool. with the correct fit. Here is a pic of the tool that Guzzi has and is in one side Oil filter key and the other works as allen key to unscrew the oil filter cover under the sump. Well this one is expencive and if you want a different solution there is also a filter key (only the for the oil filter) that fits perfect, you can get it in AGOSTINI for about 18-20Euro I tried it and it's top , other wrenches ,one fit all types don't give the appropriate grip and will be difficult to change plus you'll perhaps have to get the whole oil sump off.

That's right and why worry about new tyres , wear them up go make some miles carefully, some turns here and there so that the tyre steps well all over and you're ready. Have read the stories on this thread about people slipping on bike with new tyresand the question I ask my self when I hear someone got slipped on new tires is : Can people be so amature? They'd better shouldn't ride at all for their own safety. It also really sounds silly to just drop solvents and stuff to the tyre just to avoid a bit of work. Y' know something you'll damage your tyres pouring stuff all over ,just avoiding doing it correct.

You can say that again "drknow" Doin it right is all it needs.
-
Yep that's surely is. P.S. Concerning the other subject here, the way I see it is: It's everything on the road. I see how the bike acts and reacts and make it move the way I want. To much indepth s**t is practically useless, everything is on the road .
-
What's the unnatural about it? Do you mean the shape -sound?
-
I have experimented with some chips lattely.ANd have made an occational dyno measurmants on varios configurations.I am having a more in depth look to this subject mostly for 2 reasons. a) I want to know what's goin on on my bike b)Having the option to really construct chip configurations that fit as good as it should be for the set ups and the road use I like to do.
-
The workshop manual on page 112 shows the position of the chip. There are different chips for the corsa , If you like email me for more details about what and how to do, plus what chips exist and performance...

No problem, pal, I can give you exact latitude- lontidude coordinates.. You made my day with this.
-
Yep that goes for me as well for today...

Heh Well that reminds me a couple of months back when I serviced my mahine on "Twins and Parts" in Berlin they changed the manifold rubbers without asking me. The "old" ones had a couple or less tiny scratsches (I would describe as excellent condition)and they changed it....hehe What totally pi$$ed me off back then was: 1. The manifold rubbers they installed where total crap quality after less than 2 months they were in absolut bad condition,I noticed that and ordered new from Agostini(wow these are EXCELLENT QUALITY) BUT as I said their crappiness was such that the right one just tear off leaving me(a couple of weeks ago) in the middle of the street embarassed and pi$$ed off and had to walk in foot to find some repair tape and tightening rings to repair them just to make it back home... 2. In addition to that they had also choosed to keep and not send to me the old exaust pipes of the Guzzi since I have changed them too , along with a bunch of other old replaced parts , such as valves, ect.ect.. Many other things piss me as well like my neigbour that keeps his music loud , but I'll fix him one day when and where will be no whitnesses.

Personally I haven't noticed anything about this effect when in steering corners. Countersteering is the name of the game.

Breaking in tyres isn't all about the surface glue (this goes away in some minutes riding in the spots that touch the ground) but also the tire has to get the fit on the rim and so on.Also is sugested not so great speeds for the first miles. With new tires even when on dry asphalt ,you have to be as carefull as when riding in a wet enviroment and slowly increase the the lean angles when in turms so that the will be no danger for whatever. Best way is to find a totally empty parking lot that has good grip and start making 8's or big circles slowly increasing the lean angle of the bike (after having passed on less lean angle a few times so that the glossy film is away). It's funn and a short riding lesson as well.

Oscillation in Front End of V11 Sport
Alex-Corsa replied to Reformed Squid's topic in Technical Topics
Frond end wobling on a Guzzi isn't a familliar thing (except if Guzzi has got it wrong with this new ones-) I can scratch pegs at my Sporti and the front end is rock solid pointed where it has to ,without any miss.On greater turns of 160-200km/h at the point where all the rear tyre grip is used is also like that as well. Wrong tyres and suspension can do this (wobling)at first place. If the bike is new then probably are the ones mentioned .If the asphalt quality is bad ,or road not exact flat , then some shaking can occure. Or else can be (also)bad condition of bearings and so on. I'd suggest Mezelers M1 sportecs, give total grip in most any conditions , very accurate and quick geometry
