  3. I bought a set of mistrals and just put them on . Bike run great. then got a set of MG titanium cans with the ECU and bike still runs great. I would just get new exhausts and if you think it needs tuning go to a reputable dealer with a axone and let him tune it. Just my Gary Just noticed your avatar, could you move to the side your blocking the view

  7. I raced a Harley the other day, and after some really hard riding I finally managed to pass the guy. I was riding on one of those really, really, twisting sections of Mountain road with no straight sections to speak of and where most of the curves have warning signs that say "15 MPH". if I was going to pass one of those monsters with those big-cubic-inch motors, it would have to be a place like this where handling and rider skill are more important than horsepower alone. I saw the guy up ahead as I exited one of the turns and knew I could catch him, but it wouldn't be easy. I concentrated on my braking and cornering. Three corners later, I was on his tail. Catching him was one thing. Two corners later, I pulled up next to him as we sailed down the mountain. I think he was shocked to see me next to him, as I nearly got by him before he could recover. Next corner, same thing. I'd manage to pull up next to him as we started to enter the corners but when we came out he'd get on the throttle and out power me. My only hope was to out brake him. I held off squeezing the lever until the last instant. I kept my nerve while he lost his. In an instant, I was by him. Corner after corner, I could hear the roar of his engine as he struggled to keep up. But now I was in the lead, and he would no longer hold me back. I stretched out my lead and by the time we reached the bottom of the mountain, he was more than a full corner behind. I could no longer see him in my rear-view mirror....................... I don't think I've ever pedalled so hard in my life

  10. I paid £200 for a front and rear roadsmart fitted. Dont know if thats a good price, but its a good tyre.
  11. I found them, 04238300 for the spring and 04235101 for the pawl arm. think i will get a spring ( just in case). Harry phoned me at the weekend and the spring went on his Rossa Corsa. Cheers Gary
  12. I opened this post and wondered how i had replied, then i checked the dates . I have my ticket for the v twin and am looking forward to it. The problem with your wiring is well documented on here, If you take the tank off and (i think) trace the wires from the sidestand the connections near the headstock need cleaned up and crimped a bit tighter, end of problem. Gary

  16. Once i was out for a run and my mate looked at the z6 rear tyre when we stopped as he thought there was a nail in it, checked tyre nothing there when i got home 50 miles later there was cord showing 3/4 round the tyre, gave me quite a scare but didnt stop me fitting a new z6 . Now i make a note of the mileage when i replace tyres.
  17. Have just printed off the excellent "how to" for valve adjustment. But as i am a very simple laddie i have a question before i dive in. I have barred the engine over using a screwdriver on the flywheel till i got the S mark, now is it lined up when seen in the centre of the hole or is there a marker i cant see to align it to. Will just drink beer till someone answers Cheers Gary
  18. The clear lenses/indicators are the same as the ones used on the aprilia tuonos. Triumphs also use similar, easy enough to get on fleabay Gary
  19. If i bought a mistral x over without a hole for the lambda sensor, would it be ok to just leave the sensor tied up outside in the breeze and would i need to remap my bikes ecu. Yours in anticipation Gary
