Woody do a search On " greasing the front uj" I would post the link but am incapable, anyway you will see the mod made by moscowphil on the grease gun fitting and tube, i made one and it was a breeze to grease the front nipple. Gary

When i first bought my bike i noticed they were loose and asked the dealer to tighten them up (which they did) checked it when it was delivered, all nice and tight, then i started the bike up and they were immediately loose. I then loosened all the exhaust bolts tightened up the crossover and tightened the rest of the system, its never moved a millimetre since. But i do think i have a set of shims somewhere in the garage, nothing like a healthy dose of guzzi paranoia Gary

Do a search using "headlamp lens " , there are threads with the part nos etc, also you can use bmw lenses, its easy enough to strip the headlight. Gary

This was picked up on a while back, the cure is to put 3 small thin strips of rubber (sticky backing)on the headlight rim at 10,12and 2 o clock positions where it touches the fairing, stopped my rattle Gary

Just got home last night, what a great weekend, nice meeting everyone and it confirms my suspicions that you have to be a nutter to have a V11. Harry and i made it up to a midge free islay!! after the meet for some whisky sampling. Its back to reality now, better get on with the hoovering. Gary

Just been to the hein gericke shop they sell motul 5100, £26.25 for 4 litres and according to there catologue a few other sg rated oils.

I found some SG rated oil in a bike shop here, 10/40 semi synthetic ROCK oil in a green bottle, the owner reckons they still make it to that spec. £12.95 for 4 litres.

Usually any sign of frame damage makes it a right off (especially with the price of honda parts). But try posting on firebladeriders.com and see what they say. Gary Was it the red blade at the scottish rally !!!
