  1. Slug Is that the right way to put on your mg stand, I always thought it had to go the other way, in your pic it looks as though it lifts the back wheel (which i want to do) and is a 2 person job. Nice by the way. Gary

    Front Noise?

I had the same thing, it was the fairing vibrating against the headlamp, see if its that next time you are out on the bike by holding the fairing screen when you hear it. Some one posted a couple of pictures on here using thin rubber between the fairing/headlamp in 2 or 3 points, cured it for me Gary
  4. Having re assembled the front end , I have tightened the front wheel spindle to 100nm, Is the standard values for screws and nuts in the chart ok, for the triple clamp bolts ,brake caliper bolts and the fork pinch bolts. Dont want to strip anything over tightening Gary

  6. Well i got my bearings off easy peasy, went back to work and was going to make something up along the lines of badmotorgoozers drawing , but then searching the rig from top to bottom i came across a box of internal bearing pullers made by "xukko" purely for research purposes i took the bits home i needed and 2 mins later bearings are out no hammers in sight . i would post a pic if my wife never gave my camera out on loan, as an aside £170 to service the ohlins and are now at man. specs, mechanic said the oil was in reasonable nick and the seals were ok (changed them anyway) not bad after 11000 miles. any way have to try and get 1 generator cover screw off all the rest were loose, this one will have to be drilled out or left and the cover painted in situ. the joys. Gary
