WOW thats so clean, I have done over 10,000 miles on my cafe sport and had nothing but a big grin since i got it, the ohlins are going for a service very shortly and the only thing that has broke is the speedo cable.I think ohlins are meant to be quite high maintenance but mines seem to thrive on neglect, but its a bloody shame you cant enjoy that beauty this summer. I ordered a gold cardan bar and head covers a week or so ago i got a reply saying the bar was not in stock and they would contact me when it is. He also said the holiday time in Italy was starting so you may have to wait till thats over before they reply Gary

Hi Ratchethack I would only be carrying any camping gear 2 maybe 3 times a year and that would be a tank bag and ventura bag taking up the back seat, so when i see this ohlins tech, should i just add 5 kilos extra to my weight!!! Gary

So, if i get my sag measurements done on the bike do i need to change the settings again when i put some touring gear (tent,tank bag etc) I dont carry a pillion so thats ok. Gary

Grab it, Its a great bike, I dont think it has any of the problems earlier V!!s have, Mine has run great since i got it (one or two tiny niggles). 10,000 miles and the only thing to break is the speedo cable at 6000 miles. Gary

Well if you want one with pop history, James Blunts v11 is for sale on ebay but thats a 2000 model, I just done a check on the MCN website ( thats how i found mine)and there is a few bikes on there (rosso corsa,scura and a tenni to name but a few). As for prices they vary wildly some people want the same money for a 2000 model as a 2003 etc. Read this excellent forum carefully so you have all the info you need to interrogate any seller you come across about any faults/mods done.By the way the V11 is a excellent choice. I have 10,000 miles on my ohlins and i dont think they have ever been looked at (bought second hand). But next time i am home am going to see the ohlins man at knockhill for advice and a service. the ohlins manual i have says they should be checked 3 or 4 times a year (although what a check entails i have no idea). They seem to be working perfectly but i am starting to get paranoid about neglecting them. Gary

Yes, when i first got it (had never even used it). Never bothered getting it replaced. I just use the fuel light now, or fill up when my bum tells me its time to stop. Gary

I have metzeler m1,s and have to agree with ratchethack, soon as they both need replacing i am sticking on a pair of metzeler roadtec z6,s get some more mileage out of them.
