the moto guzzi helmet is made by suomy, I tried one on but didnt like the flip mechanism and it didnt feel quite right, ended up buying a shoei raid 2. Gary

Guy, I just asked for a head gasket, To be honest i thought that was a rocker cover gasket the part no. they gave me was 30022060. I will contact them on monday and ask for a price for a rocker cover gasket. Cheers Gary

Hi all I am starting to make up a order for parts for some maintenance work over the winter, just the usual oil, gaskets plugs,filters etc. does anyone know where i can get hold of a spare part / drawing manual. I have the workshop and the training one on cd. I would like to make sure i am ordering using the correct part no. I have been qouted £14.40 for 1 head gasket , surely thats not right especially when the sump gasket is £2.05. Oh and while i am here who sells the redshock heavy oil in the uk. How many cafe sports are there on the go, I also need answers.

I work a 14days at work 14 days at home work pattern, great in summer, not so good in winter, thats when the wife gives me all the decorating / fixing stuff to do round the house. Usually do stuff with the kids at the weekend but when they are in school im off on the bike.

I trust the guzzi stand 100%, but am not so sure about the spindle, I think the spindle is to be used for the front wheel once the back wheel is off as my rear tyre touches the floor if i fit the spindle and then the bike is unstable, but it is solid when rear wheel is off. Also be careful where you place your feet when putting bike on stand I did it once and had the full weight of the bike on my tootsies Gary

I clean my bike when it needs it, usually just to get the dead flies off it,I wash it with a big bucket of soapy water with a lot of help from my 6 year old daughter who likes to be in charge of the hose, dry it with a leaf blower wd40 on the linkages start it ride round the block and put it away till the next time i take it out for a hurl. No it is not normal, Mine done the same, I slackened the exhausts and the bands on the crossover, its a bit fiddly but i got the crossover pipe seated properly tightened them up then tightened up the exhausts, just went out and checked, the pipe is still tight after a 1000 miles since i done it. That tankslapper stuff is just what i am looking for, Can anyone give me advice on how to remove the carbon fibre effect stickies that the previous owner put on the tank sides without damaging the paintwork, sorely tempted just to rip them off. Gary

Hi ,I just checked my dvla cert. my cafe sport is called a v11 sport and the colour is silver (its bronze). my virgin insurance document classes it as a v11 sport, surely if i have a claim on my insurance it will be ok, ie if i knacker my forks they would put ohlins back on. the only thing missing is the word "cafe". Just when i thought guzzi ownership could not be better i get something else to worry about, Ah well.
