The MG is "a wee bit ugly" I say Butt ugly! That swing arm looks like it was made at a Soviet Union foundry in the 70's. Checked the MCN link, what is that new Honda? Scooter on steroids or power cruiser?

Swat - unbelievable

How does that saying go....THATS RACING FOR YA! What a shame, poor Nick, was he pissed or what! If you look at the slow-mo. Danny's bike punches Nick's right out of his hands. Could have been worse. I would be livid, out for blood. Pedrosa is very competitve for sure but he isn't close enough in points to really make a difference is he? Look at Colin working for his team and helping Rossi and here you have DP going toe to toe against his team mate. WTF! If NH had been able to work his way up front we would have been able to see a true head to head race with Rossi, Oh well... Elias was hot to watch! How bad was Nakano hurt? -
Here you go boys. Nothing too it!!! http://www.hurtwood.demon.co.uk/Fun/copter.swf What do you say Jim, if we practice real hard can we come up and fly your's sometime?

Congrats to all. To Jon; The dealer in NH has always been very helpful to me although I didn't buy my Scura from them. (bought it used) Always willing to quote work, mgr was willing to walk outside and run up my bike and offered advise as to all the unfimilliar noises, etc. They have a nice store with MG, Duc., KTM and Aprillia. While I havn't needed any work done by them they walk the walk. Hold track days especially with Aprillia, keep most models in stock (including Grisso's, the new Duc. specials and KTM's new V twin dirt bikes) seem to know what they are doing. Welcome.

http://www.voxanclubdefrance.com/en-prin.htm I like the look, I agree with the LM look to the fairing. What I really like is that it has it's own unique design. Great paint scheme. Would look great on Scure girl!

Winter riding sure eliminates "tank suck" issues

You guys are the best!!! Lots of great suggestions for sure. Love the customs offered. Jon's 72 Eldo. really has all the looks for sure. Nice ride Jon. I can see I've got some decisions to make this winter. Thanks to all.

Looks great Goozer! Maybe Rich could make a seat for it. Will cut down on the "splinter effect"

It's time to add to the stable. My Scrua girl is getting lonely. I've decided to purchase a cruiser type bike next spring. I want it to be just for cruising. Don't need massive power. Comfortable ergos., saddlebags, windshield, etc. Most importantly I want it to be a Guzzi. Love the looks of the old black Eldorado style, reminds me of the old HD Electra Glides. I would like to get all the modern refinements like disk brakes, EFI, etc. Will probably purchase used to take advantage of that great MG depreciation. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Presidential Power ?
soloNH replied to TX REDNECK (R.I.P.)'s topic in Special place for banter and conversation
How nice because I just found this web link today about the "Project for the New American Century" I was aware of their policies but never got to read all the details. So if these guts get their way Tex will find out. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Project_for_t...merican_Century GW and company keeps telling us to be scared, and now seeing this I am VERY scared... Scared...... of them! This is not about being a Republican or Democrat, it's about wackos with too much power and a really distructive view of the world. -
Another point of view

This would work for me! http://www.fas.org/man/dod-101/sys/land/mk19.htm A little pricy to play with I imagine. -
Have a pair on my Scura. Came with the bike when purchased used. Love the looks, love the sound and sometimes I think I'm going to get a hard-on pulling hard uphill. Fantastic music running down through the gears. Don't know about dyno pulls, don't care. Bike was well sorted out by previous owner. Not too loud, extremely well made but pricy.

Bummer The guy was kind of quirky but did so much good educating people. Lot's of passion indeed. Apparently he was swimming above the ray when it struck, I'm sure it was a defensive move on the ray's part. Shit luck for sure. They say being stuck by a ray in the leg is excruciating, can't imagine how it would feel in the heart. By the way, when they allow humans to pet rays they remove the barb before hand.

Looks like a great trip! Great weather, great bikes, great bikes! Gotta love the casualities. We all have our place in life!

Do a google search for "motorcycle transport" you will find several out there and then you can find what needs to be done before shipping as well as cost, etc. Solid packing is essential as the yahoos that move everything around do their job.

Did a translation for the photo caption which came to; "Beyond to the first stolen images here one our interpretation of the 1200 S" I like it!

So Gary, do those things do any good?

Here is the link to the Motorcyclist articles mentioned above. http://www.motorcyclistonline.com/searchre...amp;x=8&y=9 I actually agree with their findings especially in light of the factors concerning the medical evidence which shows a higher risk factor for older riders. Yah, I'm one of them. Bottom line for me is if I go down and have mulptiple injuries I have a better chance of surviving if my brain has a less stressful impact inside my skull. I don't think it was a self serving story as there were other follow up stories to support their claims. And as Orson states the staff is devided. To each his own, it's their decision. I guess if each of us had the opportunity to have survived multiple head impacts and judge for ourselves as to how each helmet protected up each time things would be different so these testing procedures are all we have. Get the info and make a choice. Buy quality and fit and hopefully NEVER find out. I have been lucky as all three times I went down I never hit my head. (don't want to scratch it the paint)

I agree with "taking a drive" to find your ride. I found my Scura on Cycle trader.com . It was approx. 100 miles away at a dealer. He was very helpful with past history and photos. We agreed upon a price and took a small deposit over the phone. The key is knowing that if the bike isn't all that it should be that you have to be ready to walk away! Don't let emotion cloud your decision to purchase. There are plenty of bikes out there. I was fortunate as it was everything and more (a couple of accessories, fact. service manuals etc. included) so loaded her in the truck and took her home. I think driving to pick up a used bike is preferable to flying unless you know before hand that everything is 100% which could be confirmed by a trusted friend or other source. Good luck and keep looking. Your right MG people here are GREAT!

Right up front sorry to say that I have no photos as yet but.... Tonights superbikes show on speed channel shows a custom sport bike that Kenny Roberts Sr. had built for him using one of his V-5 GP motors! Looks like sort of like a cross between a sport bike and a speed chopper! But just imagine having a GP motor in a street bike. Sounded Great! I'll keep looking for some real pictures.

Thanks Bill I purchased my rear today for $165.00 With the $25.00 shipping and $65.00 to mount and balance from my dealer the total comes to $255.00 Only trouble is 4 to 6 weeks for delivery. I have plenty of tire left till then. I know that the 180 tire has some issues with turn in but I don't think it will be an issue given the way I ride. Still cheap $$ for high end tires!!

I have the MG rack on my Scura. It is small and I would rather not have anything on the bike as I think they all distract from the clean look but there is NO way to carry anything without one. It is small but works very well within it's limits and is well made.

OK ratchet, now I'm getting confused! According to the Wall Street report Paul Gigot states. "If Congress should for some reason lose its cool and give in to the MoveOn.org crowd pushing for greater Internet regulation, it will likely come just in time for its backers, once again, to be proven wrong about the absence of competition in telecom. I am under the impression that Move ON is advocating net nutrality, how would this be interpeted as "giving in". Seems to me that all they are trying to do is prevent telecommunication companys from charging extra for prefered linking on searches. Say what you want about move on . org but I think they are "right on" on this one.
