She just wants help with preload settings.

Interesting to say the least!!! But what most people don't know it that one of the designers rides a Guzzi. Saw a documentary about the Tomahawk and they filmed this guy riding in on it. Way COOL.

I love that paint scheme, But I'm not a big fan of that fairing. Sorry guys it is so dated. Aprila has a great fairing on the Tuono and something like that would be great on a V-11. MG has to move on just like HD has to. Everyone cried when the V-Rod came out, how it wasn't a real HD and now with MG heading this way I'm hearing the same whining. Let's face it with both brands we're talking about technology that was prominent during WW-II. With the Breva and now the Grisso, MG/Piagio is bringing technology into the brand without straying too far from the origional design. No easy task! I LOVE my Scura for what it is and 2 or 3 years from now when it's time to add to my stable I'd hate to find nothing but another variation of a V-11 to choose from. Bring on more Grisso's and MSG-01's the money is waiting.

Not sure about HP figures but my Stayintunes have the sweetest sounds that I can imagine. Seems to me that I read some where that they are not being made for MG anymore.

If it's true, it has to end sometime. I wish him the best. What else does he have to achieve. He's won every GP title, he went from Honda to Yamaha. Totaly blowing away the very bike that he dominated on the year before. Sete (sp) always complained that he didn't have the same bike that Rossi had and now Rossi in on a "inferior" ride and still can't be beat!!!!!! It will be sad to see him go, it's just another challange for probably one of the most throughly talanted driver we will ever see no matter what he chooses to drive. It could be worse, he could have chosen NA$$CAR !!!! (Whoh, that sacred the shit out of me!) For now it's just a rumor, time will tell.

Great trip. I agree Nov. is pretty late to be riding here. Here in New Hampshire the foliage season peaks about Oct. 12, if you manage to be here (New England) around that time you can ride lots of great roads in Maine, NH, VT with great colors all around. Bear in mind that the weekends are full of every kind of vehicle known to man that time of year. So if you plan to cruise through at that time you can then head south through western Mass. and on into PA. to avoid NY/NJ, which will lead to lots of options on down the Appalation mountain chain. If you want company while up here Scura Girl and I would be happy to join in for a day or two.

Yes, great race in terrible conditions. I know some are tired of seeing Rossi win all the time but when you see what he was able to on a day like today it makes it perfectly clear why they call him the doctor. Also AMA Superbike was great because my man Eric Bostrom won on his Ducati. He's not on the podium very often but I love to watch him because he makes the most of whatever he rides.

Do those things wink AND swivel. Yikes!

Great race for Laguna, Nicky and Colin. Nick rode like he was in a trance, total focus. Question? Valentino got 2nd best qualifying time. Valentino is... well Valentino. Seeing he couldn't catch Nicky...... Did he let Colin take 2nd.???? Don't get me wrong I love to watch Colin race and have watched him struggle for years in GP hoping he would get a brake with one of the majors. He has a great friendship with Valentino and Val. has the championship in his sights and with his lead in the pionts 3rd. works. He didn't ride with fire like usual, we didn't see any of the magic we usually see. No sour grapes here, just a thought. Oh, I almost forgot who give's a shit about texas hardtales.

It would indeed be great if Colin or Nicky would be atop the podium. Colin said at the end of the Assen race that he was riding at his limit to catch third and dialed it back a bit just to finish. Nicky is due and if he is ever going to make it Laguna will be the place. (local by makes good) But let's face it, with Valentino in the mix there will surely be a battle. The real winner will be us as GP is finally back in the U.S. Wh-hooo!!!!

Most engines will run better on a cool night. The air is denser and mixes with the fuel better. Years ago drag racers used to run their fuel through a coil of copper fuel line inserted into a container (sometimes just a coffee can) filled with ice which cooled the fuel and helped in the same way. One thing's for sure you can't help but love sporting the back roads at night, feeling how sweet the engine can really be. Like rider and bike are somehow more connected.

So OK here's the poop. So anyway I set everything to World specs. and took her down the road. Life is good. Nice balanced tic-a-tic, runs strong and sings that wonderful tune again. Thanks for all your help, I'm learning that you guys always come through.

OK, I'm losing it. Nascar, sorry, I mean Speed channel has done it again. They have taken the last non-Hardley show and cut it to 1/2 hour. This fricken SUCKS! Two Wheel Tuesday is cut in half. Half the time to find out what's going on in the moto-racing, non Hardley world. Half the time to see what's going on in the rest of the world of cycles. Gotta make room for Texas Hardtails don't you know. You guys in Europe just don't know what your missing. And get this! Tonights guest is from BADD. (Bikers against drunk drivers, which I'm sure is a good organization) He wants to anounce they are giving away a motorcycle to raise money. What kind of bike you might ask....? Wait for it........ Another...... CHOPPER Ta! daa! And not just any chopper, this one has a working electric guitar with it's own built in amp. as a sissy bar! A set of microphones as handlebars and a LCD flip down TV under the gas tank. Who could ask for more. Even OCC (Overpriced Crate Choppers) could never top this!!!! Maybe it would be REAL cool to ride it around while playing American Chopper DVD's on the LCD. Hmmmm, maybe that's going too far. I'm so pissed off I'm going to need some alone time with Scura-girl. She will make me feel better.

Nice pair! Good for you! You better watch out, when your not around they will probably will start marking their territories, leaving their scent all over the place.

So here goes, last week while leaving work for the day I wrang out my Scura in 2nd gear to about 7000+ RPM then clicked 3rd and 4th while letting the revs settle down. It was just a roll on the throttle to wind it up as a friend was curious how it would sound. Afterwords I thought that the valves sounded a little louder but not anything un-nerving so I thought a valve clearance check was in order. The right side always seemed a little louder than the left so now was the time to take a look. (A little history) I just purchased this 02 in February with 17000 miles, the previous owner said that Mike Rich had done stage II flow work on the heads along with titanium lifters, new valves and guides. He also added a Power commander with custom mapping. I mention this because others have experienced guide wear etc. Back to the valve adjustment. The valves were set to US spec., which bothers me because that setting should make for the quietest valve noise and now the noise on the right is louder than before. It sounds like a tappet is way out of adjustment. I'm going to reset them to world specs. as most of you recommend. Any suggestions as to what might be going on would be appreciated. I'm really loving this baby and want to make her better. Summer is here!!!

Sorry for the troubles Jaap. It reminded me that I havn't been down for a while. One tip that I will pass on from a former riding partner who explained his philosophy to me after my front wheel slid out from under me on a wet corner is that the first thing to do is go up and kick the bike. The purpose here is to let it know that IT let you down and not to do it again!!! These days I guess we would call it tough love. I agree with Steve G. make her shine and get back on.

I too am over 200 lbs. more like 230. I certainly don't push my Scura to the limits but am curious as to what handling problems I might expect as I get more comfortable with it and push harder.

Anyone here in the north east US going to the races this year? I know that there are several "local" MG"s in the area. Check the websight for schedules and maybe we can hook up. www.laconiamcweek.com I havn't gone for a several years now but know it's pretty much a Harley posers fest. So bring your ear protection!!! I knew you guys would come through. Still can't find a local dealer but I'm now willing to take a chance and order one on line Been finding good pricing here and there, probably take the plunge tomorrow. I'll keep you posted.

Hey Guys, It's time for a new full face helmet for me and the Scura, I've been spending a lot of time trying on lots of different brands and I'm leaning towards the Shoei RS 1000. Good quality great reviews here and other sights but I would like to try some AGV's but here in New England (US) there are no dealers who stock AGV. Many have offered to order one in and are willing to exchange for same model but diferent size with no extra charge but I will have to purchase one or the other. This really sucks! So I'm hoping someone has some experience with them. Going on looks alone I like the V Flyer. RED of course! Great little Italian AGV badge Are these well built or do they just build good ones for Valentino and the go fast boys. I'm willing to take a chance- with your help.

We're so lucky to be seeing some of the finest racing probably of all time. No question that Rossi tops that list. When he wants to turn it on he does. I love it that he had the balls to switch to Yamaha and continue to win. That being said, It's great to see Colin on the podium!!!!! Don't know if Nicky will come around but time will tell. Guess you can tell I'm from US. Those NASCAR posers havn't a clue.

Havn't had a cycle in several years now and decided to get back on and ride. I've had a thing for MG since I got a chance to ride a 850 Lemans when it was first introduced. Found a really nice used Scura brought it home and waited till spring arived. seemed like it would never get here. It was worth the wait!!! I'm really loving the vibes! Great handling , awsome brakes and the Staintunes sing a wonderfull song.
