Did this movie get any distribution outside of Sydney?

I'm with Ratchethack on this on Coz1100. I've done the bent V11 Sport frame bit and you're dancing with danger. Find a replacement frame and fix the turn signals while you're swapping the parts over to the "new" frame.

I don't know what the rear stand is but the front stand is a Pit Bull. Pit Bulls "New Front Stand" looks to be a re-issue/improvement? of their first stand which I have one of. It's a magnificent piece of work and I have the rear stand that goes with it. When they come out with something for the Norge, I'll have to ante up again.

Late Model timing chest to spine subframe
callison replied to FuelCooler's topic in Technical Topics
I'm pretty certain the extra length was added forward of the engine mount sub-frame. -
Cliff started out building his ECU for a Sport 1100 Corsa, so yeah, he has maps for two valvers.

Well, I sold my (very early model) My16M for my Sport 1100i after failing to make the bike run in a reasonable fashion. A month ago, I replaced the timing chain and tensioner on the Sport 1100i and now the bike runs as well as it ever did on the stock computer, which is to say, not awfully great but it does work. Since I don't have the My16M anymore but I do have a My15M (#2 I think) - but not a V11 Sport (gone to Phoenix area with my son Doug), I'm adding wiring to the Sporti to enable it to plug in a V11 Sport type computer. That means I'll be able to make a direct comparison of the older style spine frame to the newer computer, which is probably not an experiment of any great merit but should be somewhat interesting. At any rate, I have to install the dual output coils in the bike first (did that earlier this evening) straighten out and finish the wiring and give it a try. I suppose I should see if Dave L. will sell me his spare V11 Sport computer (again) so I can compare the two. If all of that works, then the next step is strip all of the paint off of the various body bits, get them painted again because the bike is definitely showing it's age and get the wheels powdercoated. At that point, I'll start going down the path of fine tuning the My15M. I'd do it now, but it's embarrassing to ride around on a bike that looks as ratty as the Bugswatter does at the moment. There's also the issue of getting it tuned so that the Mike Rich Stage II porting job doesn't suffer from poor EFI. As of right now, it runs almost normally (ratty idle and popping - it's always done this) up to about 4000 rpm, above that it tries to rip my arms out. I'm looking forward to trying it out with the dual plugs running sometime very soon.

What he said. Battery.

Guzzi needs an 1800cc cruiser lump so they can make lots of money off of the lucrative cruiser market in the USA. Then perhaps, they'd have enough money to produce a new class of Guzzi street bikes that we can all aspire to. I would however, happily ditch my riding lawnmower in favor of a Guzzi tractor...

Not a problem! Get someone to trade his LeMans for your Copa...

Joe, the Gerbings heat controller is a pulse width unit. At low heat settings (narrow pulse), it's very energy conservative, as you increase the pulse-width to maximum heat, the energy used becomes pretty much that of a glove plugged directly into the curent source.

I have a spare used stock WP unit from a Sport 1100i that would work - sorta. It's a centimeter longer than the Sachs unit. I don't know if they can be shortened or not.

I'd take the left handlebar switch off and look inside for a chafed wire or a mechanical part of the switch that may have detached and shorted against the handlebar. Color wiring schematic are here: http://guzzitech.com/guzzi007/sportissimo.html mirror site: http://www.thisoldtractor.com/guzzi007/sportissimo.html

Wow, that's scarier than hell. I'm very glad you weren't injured seriously. Stupid me, I don't know what ATGATT stands for. I see the broken front engine mount, I can pretty much guarantee that the frame is bent. If you wind up parting out the bike, please contact me, I need some wiring harness parts. If you're going to try and put it all back together, contact me and I'll relate the tale of woe it took to get Frankensport back on the street and you'll think instead of just finding a replacement V11 Sport.

Looks like a red Norge to me too. Too bad Ewan didn't buy one of those but perhaps it was too "Star Wars" for him...

I don't believe that any of the V11 Sports had the additional transmission to spine mount. When I rebuilt my totaled 2001 V11 Sport I used a 1996 Sport 1100i frame which has the mount tabs on the spine but the plate has about a centimeter of off-set for the Sport 1100i frame and it didn't fit. I didn't make a new one although I probably should have. My son has that bike now and he says it's wonderfully stable compared to the 2001 frame that the bike originally had. It has that 1 degree of additional rake and it steers slower so of course it seems more stable. A lot of sportier riders prefer less rake and quicker steering and I doubt they would use additional rake to cure what is probably chassis flex. My son is mostly commuting on the bike and I doubt that he'd encounter any situations where chassis flex would be apparent. I suppose too, that the grade/gauge of the metal used in the pre-V11 Sport frames might be different and account for some of the perceived difference. That's just speculation. Given that the Sport 1100i had better suspension components than the V11 Sport it is conceivable that the frame material of the V11 Sport was not as good as the Sport 1100's as well. I doubt that we'll ever be able to determine that though.

It was a test Dave. You passed! Thanks though, I'll get around to fixing it one of these days. It is of course, completely to possible to plug in the turn signals incorrectly and they'll work just fine providing the blinker fluid isn't out of date...

That one should be good all the way through 2001. 2002's may be different or may not.

The Norge and Sport 1200 have a new crank with a longer stroke than previously used in street models, so MG does "evolve" a tad every so once in a while. With all of the previously after market stroker cranks carrying an 82mm throw, I was surprised when the new 1200cc engines came out with only an 81.2mm stroke.

Not me, I'd just have the helm hard over and tied to turn in a constant circle, adrift and away from any shipping lanes or ship-wrecking obstacles.

You do realize that "Nuclear Winter" is the quickest way to counter "Global Warming" don't you? Should we agree on this point, it would be best to test the theory on some other planet...

Welcome to the forum indeed (says he who made the board 10 times in a row but couldn't make ETC). So... Senior Chief what?

Aside from the Mo-Kan conflict, the OCIB is having their big hardcore black leather gathering in Pawhuska that weekend (Sept. 14-16). Personally, I'd rather not go shoulder to shoulder with the other V-twin crowd that will be there in large numbers. The original posting for this was: http://wildguzzi.com/forum/index.php?topic=13270.0. UPDATE: As per Larryo's description of "off brand" bike problems (that would be us) and probable conflicts and in accordance with owwassojoe's suggestion, I'm going to suggest the Billy Sim's Barbeque location in south Tulsa at 7719 E. 91st St. (91st and Memorial), just north of Joe Marina Honda. online menu. Looks good, current weather forecast included: Saturday 76 F 52 F Partly Cloudy

Sorry Ben, there won't ever be more than the one Frankensport. Your thing about Rhinocoat reminds me of some shenanigans with a VW bus when I was in junior college though. It's too long of a story to tell here but if we ever get to a campfire at the same time and place, remind me to tell the tale.

Frankensport was never an ugly bike, the PO however... Hey Doug me boyo, the bike does look really good. The next time I come out to Arizona, I'll just bring out all of my bikes and let you practice your other hobby.
