Does anybody here believe it really has 80 HP? I think even 75 will be hard to reach with a 2 valve air-cooled engine.

Anyone heard about this company in Germany?
biesel replied to JesterGrin_1's topic in Travel & dealers
Highly recommended. The owner Michael Behrendt is very cooperative. Approx.10 years ago HMB took over the Moto Guzzi Germany warehouse with all its parts in stock. -
The drawing (V85PP) looks like a Griso with small engine and without CARC.

I have added a Vintage to the Griso. For me this is the perfect combination. Some years ago I would never have thought to drive a bike like this, but it really has a lot of charme. I didn´t like the "Softchopper" looks of the later Tonti Californias but the "Calvin" really hides this with the stripes on the tank and the bags. The one I bought is 12 years old and has just minor optic issues (the ones we know from almost all Guzzis). The wheels fit perfectly to this classic bike, I cannot stand the looks of the Cali EV wheels for tubeless tires. The motor is the one from Breva 1100 with less HP but a bit more torque. What it really needs is an ECU with different mapping. The original one is a bad as the stock ones we know from the later V11s mit catalytic converters. The real problem is that spare parts became extremely expensive meanwhile. Maybe this video ("Moto Guzzi California Vintage Fog Beam Reflector Replacement") helps other Calvin owner:

Thx Scud, I have asked at Stein-Dinse if the paint they sell (Art.No.: 1203F041A ) is the original for all Guzzis approx. built since 2004: https://www.stein-dinse.biz/Complete-partlist/Unsorted/Motorlack-MG-schwarz-200gr-Dose::7687.html They could not confirm that this paint is the right one ...poor.

Does anybody know the colour code/manufacturer of the satin-finished black motor paint? Should be the same color for all newer Guzzis (V11, Caifornia, Griso, Breva, etc)

@68C: Thanks for this hint. I wasn´t aware of this but you are right (had to google for this)! The spacers between fender and swingarm should help to avoid this. -
Thank you guys! Yes too clean - have to spent more time riding insteand of polishing it.
-
...and yes I have really polished it before

To call it "950S" was my idea. You can find it out from the text below the video. A "retro" bike built from refurbished parts - a VG frame with 850T3 fork, etc. It was possible to create a "950S" logo from the original "750S/1000S" logo.

I have updated my YouTube channel with two slidehows of my former Guzzis: 950S 1000S Maybe you find some useful info too.

Thank you guys for this feedback! When you publish something on YouTube you can pick a music title from their library which is free to use. I would have preferred AC/DC which is maybe audible here: -
I have mounted an Öhlins TTX 36 shock and a Millepercento Fender/Mud guard on my Griso. Expensive but really excellent products which I can really recommend. I have just uploaded a slideshow to my YouTube channel showing the whole procedure: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hi8Lw80TpOo

I have used their products on my 1000S (http://home.foni.net/~biesel/1000s/verbesserungen/verbesserungen.htm) and my 950S (http://www.janguzzi.de/950s_index.htm) built by Doc Jensen (http://doc-jensen.de/) was equipped with their stuff (coils and ignition) too. Best quality you can get.
