  1. Credit the Centauro Owners Group for these drawings of Marabese original design for the Centauro. http://www.centauro-owners.com/gallery/marcello_molteni/stcentauro2.jpg
  2. I almost never use a dealer for routine service. I'd look around for a good independent mechanic in your area. I had some service done in Lake Havasu a few years ago. Sorry, I don't remember the name. Mike
  3. No and no. Mike
  4. The short gearing, drag bars and lower seat make my Centauro a wonderful city bike. While the 12S is a consumate sport tourer. Both are from the house of Marabese.
  5. Sorry, but all the bodywork is gone. Mike
  6. Did anyone else have trouble opening these attachments? Mike
  7. Great pic! FYI, I'm filing a claim with UPS today. The seller believes it was damaged in shipment. Mike
  8. The tank looked perfect when I got it. I'm sure it was new. There were no obvious nicks or imperfections that would indicate it had been dropped or damaged. His best guess is it had been sitting on a shelf for 18 years and somehow cracked. I'm inclined to agree with him. I'm in touch with seller about finding a solution. Mike
  9. >I think I can see the crack. Is it to the right of the triangular anchoring tab? Yes, that is it. It's visible enough I need to be certain any patch will not be visible. Mike
  10. It's a crack that runs vertically near the hold down bolt. It appears to go thru the tank. You can barely see it on the video. Mike
  11. Here's a link to a video. The tank is brand new. Purchased a couple of weeks ago. Probably been sitting for 18 years on a shelf. Mike
  12. I've got a leaking tank with a crack. What are my options? Mike
  13. I'm checking to see if I can find one before having mine resprayed. Mike
  14. Thank you for the clarification! Even tho he didn't pen them, I doubt the boss would have approved the later designs if he didn't agree with them. I've always been torn between my 1200 Sport and the Griso as to which design I prefer. Mike
  15. Beautiful design is a big part of a bike's appeal to me. I currently own 2 Guzzi's designed by Marabese: a 1200 Sport and a V11 LeMans. I also own a LeMans 3 which Marabese has said is his personal Guzzi. "You know, even though I design for Aprilia, Laverda and others, and in my life I have had about thirty different bikes, that's it: the Guzzi is the only one I still have in my heart. I still enjoy today with my 850 Le Mans." http://archivio.animaguzzista.com/maestri/marabese/marabese.htm My question for you Marabese aficionado's is this: if you could have 3 Marabese Guzzi's what would they be? Here are the options: Centauro V11 Sport V11 LeMans Breve 750 Breva 1100 Breva 1200 Sport Griso Norge Thanks for your thoughts! Mike
  16. Will do Bob. It's going to Hulls for a check up. Then we'll do a fun run run! Mike
  17. Thank you! Mike
  18. Earlier this year I foolishly sold my 2003 LeMans. I've regretted it. I offered to buy it back but the new owner declined. When a 2002 Champagne LeMans came along, I jumped. The color has grown on me over the years. It's a 1 year color and I think it makes an elegant GT bike. Especially with some carbon detailing. I want to repaint the tank as it is faded and stained by gasoline overflow. I can have my paint store attempt to match, but if anyone has a better suggestion please let me know. Or perhaps someone has a champagne tank they would part with. (the pic is not my bike .....yet) Mike
  19. Sorry, but I don't recall the bolt size. You might have to do a bit of trial and error to find the right size. There is a washer between the lever and the foot peg to prevent binding. Mike
  20. Just for your consideration. I've sold 2 bikes in the last 60 days. So the good news is nice bikes, priced right, are selling. The bad news is I had to price them to sell in a declining market and a pandemic virus. My thought was even if the economy comes back, I'm not sure prices will recover much. You are doing the right thing on Ebay by including a "Make an Offer" button. You don't have to accept. You can make a counter offer. I thought about doing just that. I'd love to do a "Fly and Ride" from Georgia to Arizona. But I love my 1200 Sport and the 2 bikes are so similar. Mike
  21. Am I missing something. It says "price reduced." But no price. Mike
  22. In remodeling my garage I wanted to hang some "garage art." One of the pieces I wanted was a 24 x 36 poster of the original design for the V11 LeMans submitted to Moto Guzzi from Marabese Designs. It is discussed on page 2 of this topic. Here is how I created one for under $50. Brian Boles is hosting the 250 mb file. 250 mb is 24 x 36 at 300 dpi. 300 dpi is magazine quality. Click on this link and download the file to a zip drive. http://www.brianboles.org/img/Stuff/V11_Proposal.tiff I took the zip drive to Staples who printed a 24 x 36 poster for $29.95 To frame it I went to WalMart and bought the $10 frame kit. It contains everything you need. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Mainstays-24x36-Thin-Poster-and-Picture-Frame-Black/883237 The whole project took an afternoon. My wife thinks it looks good enough to bring in the house. (see below.) Mike
  23. Which GB kit is that? Mike
