  1. You are missing someone; the one who could swoop and soar with the best. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=6FMq0iDX1yE&...feature=related (And, like Guzzis, the audio is out of synch with the picture.....)
  2. See if he can do something with the one I'm stuck on. I've got the title. "Hopelessly addicted to Yak"
  3. Is the rectifier/regulator part of the alternator? They often are, these days. If so, comparatively easy and cheap to change for a fresh one. Worked for me.
  4. I'm working on "Look at me, I'm red Griso" and "Beauty School Dropout".......
  5. I need thrills to satisfy me. I need to keep in control. And the power Guzz' supplies me It's intensifying. I'd better hang on To the bassett ears, As Griso flies on down the road Better hang on This won't end in tears As eight valves carry all the load.
  6. Sandy? Is that you? Summer riding - happens so fast. Summer riding - was a thing of the past. Met a bike - as red as could be. Two lumps and eight valves Made just for me.
  7. Might be good, as it appears to be one size fits all, so I have a chance of getting at least part of my bonce in there.

    Stelvio

But not even slightly suprising, surely. Hope all goes well.
  9. "whatawaste" (valve)?
  10. Green? "I'm looking over an eight valve clover."
  11. Steady, now.
  12. Schrader valve = airhead
  13. Aspin rotary valve = Edna Bucket
  14. Gave me a blue condition.
  15. 4v per cylinder small block = Crackhead.
  16. Looks more like a dog with its head out of a car window, at speed. Handlebars being the ears. Hmmm; Basset Hound? Hey, maybe I'm getting this modern style thing.......
  17. I thought his main claim to fame was buggering up Cream's recordings.
  18. Pah! Next, you'll be telling me that people are rolling around on tubes of air at speeds that would suffocate a normal mortal.
  19. ....as ugly as a gurning bat. Sorry, I appreciate the mechanical soundness of the new models but I can't gel with the style. I'm just an Edwardian fossil. Hope you are very happy together.
  20. My point precisely. _Not_ because it's Roper's bike but because it is probably one of the highest mileage ones out there. Not mollycoddled freeway miles, either. 8-)
  21. Sorry - I wasn't here then. I fnd the Hanna-Barbera stuff a trifle shallow. 8-))))
  22. http://www.nogginthenog.co.uk/ Featuring our very own...... "Nogbad the Bad. Noggin's black-hearted and scheming uncle, who will stop at nothing to take Noggin's crown for his own. Whenever troubles abound, one can be sure that the wicked Nogbad is behind them. Banished from his black castle in the Land of the Nogs, Nogbad retreated to stay with his granny in Finland, but often appears living in other lands (usually having forced out the rightful inhabitants) with his flock of infamous black crows. "
  23. Oh bugger.... http://wildguzzi.com/forum/index.php?topic=16583.0
  24. Errr.... even when the valves are closed, the springs are compressed......
  25. I agree with avoiding the courier companies in favour of the postal services. The courier fee for handling the duty transaction can often be more than the duty itself. I have never been charged import duty. Just lucky, I suppose.
