  1. The OP said . . . "The Le Mans is a heavily flawed machine . . ." you say "a number of flaws" . . . help me brother
  2. My sentiments exactly. Triumph and Moto Guzzi are two brands of historic value that needed and need a new, state of the art, modern factory to ensure their financial health for decades to come. Hopefully Piaggio agrees.
  3. With all due respect to the opinion holder, the quoted opinion could not be more subjectively incorrect. Keep reading and researching this forum for the next few weeks and you will come to the same conclusion as did I . . . the V11 LeMans is a jewel and will be a collector bike for years to come. If you can find one that has been well cared for, you will have found a treasure and a pleasure to ride and admire. You will get so many compliments wherever you go. This is a unique, different, and very capable multi-use bike. It is definitely a keeper.
  4. Sorry for the loss.
  5. The last two posts from Steve and Greg is why this forum is so valuable. Where else can you get instant information about an obscure need for the collectible V11 LeMans.
  6. My Cowboys just defeated the #3 Missouri Tigers last night. We are now ranked in the Top 10. BTW, how's the V11 Fundraiser going guys? Hope everyone is pitching in who can. Jaap deserves a boost for all the work he puts into this forum.
  7. John, the PayPal donation button awaits you!
  8. Most of the regulars on here know that I have started this thread each year during the U.S. College football season. BTW, my Oklahoma State Cowboys are doing OK this year. Jaap has provided a one-of-a-kind V11 forum that has a proven track record of serving V11 owners around the world. I always give a 25 Euro donation each year at this time by clicking on the "Keep V11LeMans.com PayPal online" icon at the upper right part of your screen. What a small pittance to donate to help Jaap keep this great forum on the net. Donate what you want, but donate something if you find this forum useful. Cheers! :bier:
  9. Know the Rules
  10. Toni the link works for me 5X5
  11. Well stated. I'm 55 and agree my LeMans is the perfect ride for me now.
  12. Just 30 more days until my annual "it's football season let's support Jaap's V11 forum" PayPal fund drive. This year we are going to set a single day record contribution! Keep the old stiff upper lip, Jaap!

And a fourth and a fifth . . . can we get a sixth new thread?

I recommend you start a third thread on the same subject and your luck may just turn
  15. Nice thread. Thanks for the info. :bier:
  16. 3:00 am . . . can't sleep . . . up to 22%
  17. There should be some idle screws on the side of the carburator with which you can adjust your idle.
  18. Who says one has to have "saddle bags?" Check out the slick Ventura offerings by clicking the photo, below . . .
  19. Al, FWIW, it was this photo and others of your bike that sold me on the idea to get my own Lemans.
  20. Saw my first Rosso Corsa here, and discovered this is a family owned shop with serious motocycle know how. Southbay Triumph - aprilia - Laverda - Moto Guzzi 2101 Pacific Coast Hwy Lomita, CA 90717 (310) 784-7690
  21. Gyroscopic Precession (disambiguation) . . . That's all I got to say. Torque-induced precession (gyroscopic precession) is the phenomenon in which the axis of a spinning object (e.g. a part of a gyroscope) "wobbles" when a torque is applied to it. (Seat of the pants feel - wot makes it a Guzzi, just like Ouiji Veck says).
  22. Congrats! You now have the very best battery available for the V11.
