  1. Italian Moto-Fest Anyone interested in going to this on Sep 30 (sunday) I'm in allentown PA. If anyone wants to ride over on Sunday morning and spend the day.
  2. Clicky di picky for linky to ebay This thing really tempts me. 1974 was a very good year in Rota, Spain. I was a young 22 year old Marine with a 1973 Triumph Boneville 750. Yet I saw plenty of Moto Guzzi's riding around the streets of Rota. Very exotic compared to my meat and potatoes Triumph. The little wifey (una Rotena) and I are planning on retiring and spending six months out of the year in her hometown of Rota, and this would be very nice to tool around on, don't you agree?

  5. Each year about this time (American Football Season) I encourage everyone who really enjoys this site to donate via PayPal to Jaap's V11 LeMans.com. Just click on the PayPal button in the upper right corner. I give 25 Eur, but I know he is appreciative of any amount you wish to donate. Thanks Jaap . . . with more than just words!
  6. Would the new Alpina spoked rear wheel come with new rubber in the cush drive, or would one need to take the original rubber parts and use them in the new rear Alpina hub? 10/02/2007 - ALPINA'S SPOKED WHEELS FOR V11 FINALLY AVAILABLE! ENTER FOR DETAILS. The collaboration between Rossopuro and Alpina produces the first spoked wheels kit for tubeless pneus, dedicated to all Moto Guzzi V11 models. The rims are made of aluminum, CNC machined aluminum hubs, inox spokes. Main feature of this kit is the new Alpina's patented A-System for tubeless wheels. With this new system is now possible to install tubeless tires on spoked wheels, so that speeds higher than 180 km/h are allowed also on spoked wheels. In the cross and supermotard fields Alpina wheels already reached the highest performances with max safety! The kit can be bought either in the Rossopuro's colors shown in the picture or choose your own color combination between black, gray, red and gold, both for the rim and hub. High resistance anodized finish with great looking style. The wheels could easily be installed from a specialized garage or tire changer. Click HERE to go to the shop page.
  7. That is a great looking set up, and one I may want to persue in the future. Remind us how you were able to get the MG Ti cans to lay flat, like stockers. If I remember correctly, the stock pipes are welded to the original cans and cannot be used with the Ti's, no? . . . And the Ti cans come with pipes that project the angle of the cans upward.

  12. I call it gyroscopic procession. It's common with the V11. It is something you have to get used to. Just be very smooth with the throttle. Nice and smooth.
  13. I can only speak for the MG Ti's, though they are probably made by Mistral, but they have a lovely sound, much deeper than the stock. I went for a ride this evening and a Harley owner, out in the hotel parking lot was very impressed with the sound, FWIW.
  14. My speedometer quit on my '03 Rosso Corsa a year ago, but the odometer still works. MPH told me it probably just needed some lubrication. Don't know about that.
