  1. What a pleasure, superb pictures Thank you
  2. On Ebay today only 2 V11s, one of which at the the dealer Moto Strada. Yet THREE Centauros. Zillions of Californias, V7s, Daytonas, Grissos and others.
  3. ...shame...all that training would go to waste with the burgers and beer ;-) hehehe Struggled round in 1.02, not too bad for a pensioner I suppose Instead of burgers and beer tonight its Curry and Beer at Wetherspoon's. They turn over loads of beer so its always good. Looks like you had a good time without me anyway Joe, or maybe my absences just did the trick
  4. He he, and two helmets - one must sit on the tank
  5. More fantasy dream machine fodder (sorry Guy ) here. Worryingly I feel strangely attracted myself.
  6. Same problem with mine. Indicators fine on LH lock, stop on RH lock. Checked all the connectors under tank, pushed and pulled the cables and no change. Only when looking at the wiring diagram and a little input from DVH did the penny drop. Just need to search for method of steering lock removal now
  7. One of those pictures where you look once, then unbelieving look again then quickly look away. As someone who generally likes the individuality in personal creations I say in this case Guy is spot on Sorry for an offence caused galaxiid
  8. Well....... you may see that my little picture attached to my posts it is titled 'lucky'. I don't have a lot of wealth by current standards but I really do have pretty much everything I want. If someone offered me a very large amount for my Guzzi, unless it was accompanied by a promise of world peace I don't think I could be bothered. I've had motorcycles of various types since my teens so what would I want now, MV, another GS another Honda? Why on earth would I want to do that when I know apart from a brief pleasure in the excitement of the new there would be a lasting regret at parting with a motorcycle that is 'right' for me. Fortunate am I that my missus understands and my friends are covetous, and that my health is such that I can still handle 'Red Sonja' respectably. People may think otherwise but I know when I'm on a good thing. (with apologies to KB)
  9. My feeling Ben, is that it really doesn't worry me what the value is. Within reason I can have pretty much what I want in the 2 wheel arena, it's just that I really like the V11 as my motorcycle.
  10. Bollocks and Double Bollocks!!!!! 10k fun run in Wetherby on the 11th. Been training for 5 weeks so can't miss it
  11. Interesting. If he gets his asking price it really will be an appreciating asset.
  12. That's the way to cause pain Good on yer
  13. Guzzi V11 - the new Gold Standard?
  14. Just an observation that here in UK there seem to be very few V11s for sale any more. I regularly have look round sites like ebay and MCN but currently nothing. Could it be that they have all found good loving homes? Could it be that they no longer infuriate as a heap of expensive unreliable garbage and must therefore be disposed of a quickly as possible? My RC is still a total delight and keeps me a-wheel whilst my other bikes are being less than co-operative. It cannot be that other owners are having a similar renaissance, can it? Strange
  15. Don't always agree with KB but it is Jaap's efforts that make this forum work. I can go other places to rumble. Thanks Jaap
  16. Yep, used them to add relays to the headlamp feed on the Rosso Corsa, fitted straight into existing connectors
  17. Totally Brilliant !
  18. Got them recorded on instruction from my son. Seems I have a treat in store
  19. Yep, looks to me like the ever available 'woolly temptresses of the north'
  20. Crap! Fortunately they're not all like that
  21. Budgeting for a Date A while back, when I was considerably younger, I picked up a lovely date at her parents' home. I'd scraped together some money to take her to a fancy restaurant. She ordered the most expensive items on the menu; shrimp cocktail, lobster Patron & champagne. I asked her, "Does your mother feed you like that when you eat at home?" "No," she replied. "but my mother's not expecting a blow job tonight." I said "Would you care for dessert?"
  22. Absolutely amazing !!! Can't wait to circulate that one
  23. How the hell can you trust bike purchase advice from any Guzzisti - they just don't make any sense
