  1. Hey Jaap, Good luck in your endeavors. The bike does appear to be race ready. But with those old drum brakes, stopping and slowing are gonna be an issue. I know, period correct. Again, good luck to you and your brother.
  2. I have an air box for an earlier Daytona (Not an RS) or Centauro. I purchased it about a year and a half ago to have an airbox for my Daytona RS. The RS air box is much smaller than this one. All fittings are intact and some rubber hose plumbing. I paid about $70 for this with shipping. The shipping is going to run about $20 due to the size of the air box. I'll let it go for $55 which includes the shipping. Please make sure this is the one you want. Email me for more pictures or any questions.

  5. Hey MZ, The remains of your bearing look awfully dry. Was it ever lubed, or did the grease burn off during failure? How many miles are on your Scura? Glad you caught it before it caught you.
  6. Steve, I may be mistaken, but I'm thinking Burlington is about an hour north of Seattle; 60-70 miles. My folks used to live in Mount Vernon, immediately south of Burlington.

  8. Like Ratch says... Have the forks been "serviced" lately? Over filling with fluid will make them stiff. Using too heavy of fluid will make them stiff. Etc. etc. Good luck.
  9. I know this isn't for a V11 or LeMans, but I am looking to replace a damaged can on my former Daytona. This is from, I believe a 2" system and is an oval cannister. Evidently, these cans are similar, if not identical to the MHP CF oval cans I would prefer the right (bevel drive) side can, but either side can be made to work. Please contact me if you have a spare or know where one might be located. Thanks, Bill

  11. Art, I'm with Rocker on this. You need to check your tire pressures cold, ie before the ride. Having said that, I don't think its your tires. Low tire pressure with give a mushy ride and slight wandering. What you describe is more severe than slight. Wheel bearings, swing arm pivot or steering head bearings is my guess, in that order. Good luck solving your mystery
  12. I've had the sidecover off twice on my Scura. I use Yamabond no.4 for a sealer. This requires a minor bit of tapping with a wood dowel and hammer to loosen. Good luck with the acetone; be careful with that stuff.
  13. I guess I'm in the same boat with a lot of you guys. Still looking for the bike that hasn't been made yet. There's a lot of things I like about the new Guzzi's, Ducatis, Aprilias and KTM's. Unfortunately, there's enough I don't care for to keep me from "jumping" into a new model. I want the classic looks, with the modern materials and reliability. I need a bike I can be comfortable on; a bike that thrills my soul and satisfies the young kid that still lives in my head. The older I get, the harder this dilemma is going to be to solve. The clock is ticking and I'm still looking.
