I pair of v 11 sport stock mirrors, perfect condition. $50. and they are yours! email bigbikerrick@hotmail.com

Brand new, ECU taken off at the dealership when the bike was new and replaced with the racing ECU . still wrapped in the MG bubble wrap. $125. and its yours! Im sure someone would like to have a spare, in case the original goes "tits Up", or you inadvertantantly fry it when working on the battery. email bigbikerrick@hotmail.com

Dont do it, Bro. you need a solid union between those 2 pieces, they are close machined anyway, any rubber between there wont be safe. add some big ass , heavy bar end weights, or fill your bars with lead shot and silicone rtv. or napoleon bar end mirrors . all those theing work, Oh yeah! also make sure your TB's are balanced, that smooths things out as well. Im sure some of the "gurus" here such as ratchethack will chime in with some ideas as well. Ciao. BBR.

Thanks Pete , I appreciate your input. Rick.

Why is it really ugly? It sort of looks like an eldo, or ambo to me, with a different shaped gas tank. what do you mean by troll? the bike is ugly as a troll and should be parked under a bridge? Hehehe.

This jacket is top quality thick cowhide, vented with zippered vents front and back, fits to the waist like a bomber jacket, has top quality YKK zippers throughout, inside pockets, and a zip out quilted liner for colder weather. This Jacket was purchased by my wife for me X-mas of 05 and is like new as I have only worn it 2-3 times, and am no longer riding., Purchased at Joetas Leather in phoenix AZ. They dont sell cheap stuff, only top quality leather goods. The leather is very thick, but supple ,and will protect you . my wife paid $350. for it. size is XXXL ( I wear xxxl t shirts and it fits perfectly) I can email you pictures of it . Asking $200. and I will pay to have it shipped ( that jacket is heavy!) email bigbikerrick@hotmail.com

Asking $175. and I will pay the shipping . bigbikerrick at hotmail dot com I HAVE REDUCED THE PRICE TO $125. INCLUDING SHIPPING IN THE USA

I have the stock ECU from my 2003 v 11 sport that was taken off at the dealership when the bike was new and replaced with the Ti racing ecu. Its been bubble wrapped in a box since then, a fellow guzzisti is interested in buying it I have no idea what they cost new or what price to ask for the one I have. anyone here have a ballpark figgure on whats a fair price? Thanks Rick.

Ive got the stock ecu from my bike in perfect un used condition, as my bike had the titanium exhaust/racing ecu installed by the dealer before the bike was picked up, I also have the stock cans, I dont thing the bike was even started up with the stock cans/ecu.

Hi Nathan, I am pretty sure my triple tree is fine, It looks like the forks are fine also( they look straight) I am in a wheelchair and havent been able to get too close to the bike to give it a closer inspection. as soon as I am able to,although It will probably be a couple of months, I will let everyone on the forum know what is still good, for whoever needs parts, or the whole bike if anyone is interested in taking a trip to southern arizona,

Thanks to all for the kind words of encouragement, I sure can use them as Im pretty much "bummed out" over what happened. Rick.

The reason I havent been on the forum in over a month and a half is because I had a pretty serious accident on my beloved v 11 sport naked. I was on a ride with my wife following me on her magna, and white looking into the rear view mirror to see if my wife had made it out of the gas station, onto the highway, the car in front of me suddenly slowed down, and I tapped its rear bumper. This caused me to loose control of the Guzzi. The guzzi slid on its right side( the guzzitech head protectors did a perfect job of keeping the head fins intact) the real bad thing is that I had removed my anti tip over valve no my gas tank breather hose to prevent tank suck, and the spilling gas I guess combined with the sparks caused my beautiful 03 naked to catch on fire! after a few minutes a passing motorist used a fire extinguisher to put it out. needless to say all of the plastic stuff/ and wiring is toast. I suffered 2 broken ankles, a few broken ribs, a broken wrist, and elbow. I am currently recouperating at home in a wheelchair, after a month in the hospital in Tucson. sad to admitt.... after much deliberation, and discussion with my family, I have decided to give up motorcycle riding . at my age , Im just too old to risk another accident in the future. I will be parting out whatever is good on the Guzzi as soon asI get on my feet again and can take things apart. the bike has less than 8K miles on the clock. the engine/transmission should still be good, the brake discs, calipers , rear drive. and driveshaft , clutch lever, shift lever, etc are all good. it has the wide swingarm/rear wheel. I also have the stock cans intact in the garage,as well as the stock ecu as it was replaced with the ti system upon purchase.I also have the stock mirrors in perfect shape as I had replaced them with napoleon barens before the crash. If anyone here can use any of these parts, I will accept your best offer as I dont plan to make a bunch of money on whats left of the bike, I would just like them to go to good use to a fellow guzzisti,as the folks on this forum have been really awesome to me. I would also sell whats left of the bike as a whole if anyones interested. I also would like to sell a 1997 honda magna and a 2001 honda cbr 600 f4i that I have . both bikes are in mint condition as the have always been garaged and ridden by my geezer self or my wife.

Im going to hook up a dedicated plug in for a deltran battery tender, which is what I use on my other 3 bikes to keep the batteries charged
-
To unplug the ecu, you have to remove it, correct? If I remember correctly by looking at my stock ecu on my workbench, the plug is on the bottom.
-
You didnt mention how many miles are on the bike(not that it matters on a Guzzi if its been maintained) I say buy it quickly! Its a great price. Ive owned almost every brand of bikes over the last 35 years, and currently own 3 japaneese bikes as well as my 2003 v 11 sport. This is my second guzzi, once you ride a v11 sport you are hooked! no other bike on earth gives you the same feeling . This is the most fun to ride bike I have ever owned and ive owned over 40+ bikes. How can you go wrong for $3600.? heck thats darn near the price of a honda rebel! you have nothing to loose, buy it ,if you for some reason are not happy with it in the future ,put it on fleabay, and make a cool $1000. profit.... PS. What color is it? If its the green/red frame one and you dont buy it , I assure you,you will kick your own

Hello Folks, Ive read horror stories of people hitting the ecu with a wrench when disconnecting the positive battery terminal, and frying the ECU. I know the ecu has a ground wire, but I have the Guzzi Ti racing ecu on my bike and its as good as gold to me, I dont want to risk damaging it when removing my battery. Is it safer to remove the ecu before touching the battery? or is there a better/safer way? Im planning to remove the terminal connections on the battery to install leads to hook up my battery tender.

I have the Ti,s as well on my naked, awosome pipes, and the racing ecu solves most all of the drivability problems associated with the stock ECU. The sound is like a healthy 5 liter mustang v 8 with a hot cam and headers, not like a v twin at all. They are pricey, but just that insignia on the side " moto guzzi accessori" with the eagle is worth the price of admission. A true work of italian art! IMHO.

Hey Wick, Did Mike Haven by any chance tell you what was the cause for your rod bearing failure? a lubrication problem/ oil pressure perhaps, or just a poorly installed bearing, defective....It would be nice to know the CAUSE, if thats possible.

Art, get yourself a honda cbr 600. they are relatively cheap, and BULLETPROOF! they are easy to ride and have comfortable ergonomics. you can buy "track ready" fiberglass bodywork such as sharkskins real cheap. the cbrs have tons of power and are real "forgiving" if you can find a fuel injected model(2001+) all the better. I have a 2001 myself that I purchased brand new and babied all its life, its a real garage queen. I put a MIG high mount pipe, and an undertail kit on it. and of course its the honda racing colors of red and black. Gorgeous bike.and it looks real pretty parked in the garage next to the V11 naked, as a matter of fact, thats all its done since I got the Guzzi, sit there looking pretty.... I dont think ive put 100 miles on it in the last year! See what getting a Guzzi does to your other bikes!
