The new jackets were worn on long way down both riders constantly complained of being wet whenever it rained, not much of an ad for waterproof clothing. Would have to agree with Pete wax cotton is cold and is not waterproof, it would seem even their modern products don't have good waterproofing.

as said before my solinoid clicked but was kaput also check insulators on brushes, at rear of starter insulation between spring and brush

From one scura owner to another your starter solinoid is knackered other problem could be your alarm system if you have one two wires will be attached to the starter motor load side, these are very thin wires and cannot cope with the high current

I've always wondered why there is a charge to enter these things when it's just a big sales pitch, should be free
