Looks like a very comfortable seat. -
If your Billybob has the angle drive where the cable enters the transmission, chances are that it's defunct. I had the same thing happen about 2 months ago. All the usual suspects would have this part and will ship it to you. Don't know about the warrantee issue. MPH Cycle MG Cycle Harpers Eish Enterprises Moto International

I copied this from an old post. IMHO Rich is the best in the business. He's done enough V11 seats to know what you want. He has a 7 day turnaround and uses your existing seat. If this link no longer works, I have his phone number at home. He lives in Chesapeake VA 757-487-4592 an it MIGHT still be rmaund pinn net

They added stop light cameras to several busy intersections in the Dayton area a couple years ago. My wifes' boss found out the hard way that these cameras have been updated to track speeders too. You get the fine in the mail but they do not take points because they have no actual proof who was actually driving your vehicle. It's just a revenue generator, I tell ya!

I bought the smaller Vista design. The larger one had this arm that does not reach over the control assembly. With a little bit of fiddling I was able to make the sheetmetal bracket fit under the lower phillips screw. Works like a charm.

The Buell signals I bought were about $6.

Since I now have the most powerful of the Centauros in addition to the LeMans I would like to change my request from one plate to two.

You might try MG Cycle. info mgcycle com

I wish you luck on having enough juice to keep those going. With the dismal charging system you will find out when the battery won't start the bike. When my wife and I use our electric vests we have to use them judiciously lest we wear down the battery.
-
As some of you already know my wife bought me an '02 LeMans as a wedding present. She's gone over the top and also bought me this Centauro. It's a '98 GT with 37,000 miles.

Catalog ordered. Hopefully I'll be able to do some rewiring without spending a lot of money on specialized tools. Of course, I can rationalize this over 3 bikes.

It would seem I fixed my problem last night when I swapped batteries. Thanks for all the suggestions. If this becomes an issue again I will dig into the wiring system like Gary said.

I have a set of Hepco Becker 40 liter bags on my '02 LeMans and they fit perfectly over the stock mufflers. Actually I bought just the rack and pull the bags from my Cali when I need them. They are expensive but worth it.

I have a donor battery now. I picked up a gorgeous yellow and black 98 Centauro GT this weekend (my wife bought it for me!) and it has fairly new Hawker battery in it.

It's not terribly difficult. You have to remove the starter. Unless you like to see sparks, disconnect the battery first. At least one lf the lower screws in the cover plate is close to the frame. Hence the need for a cut off allen wrench

Folks on the Wildguzzi board are suggesting the reason for the wild fluctuations is that the battery is near the end of its useful life. On the other hand I've never seen the light on my California act this way when the battery started to go. Of course the battery just said, "Surprise, I'm dead. You should have maintained my fluid level, you moron!"

Update. I checked the ground and I've got a good ground. I connected my multimeter to the battery and it reads 12.8 volts. I start the bike and the reading goes up to over 13. I increase the speed to 4000 rpm and the volts go up to 14 and 15. At that point with the throttle steady at 4000 rpm the volts fluctuate from 15 to 13.0 volts. Should there be that much fluctuation? Should I just put a cover over the idiot light?

You should find some of this black dust near the leak.

Over the last couple months my charging system has been warning me of impending doom. The dash light would flicker and then go away or it would flicker then stay on. Sometimes I could make the light go away by gunning the throttle. It's almost like the light is connected to the fuel sender. I've read so many posts here on the subject that my head is spinning. I came to the conclusion the obvious thing to do was to check the connections to the alternator and voltage regulator for corrosion. There was. I cleaned, squeezed, and applied dielectric grease to all the connectors. I checked the battery connections and they were good. I put the bike all back together confident I had cured the problem. I started the bike and....no joy. I can't make the light go out no matter what I do. The faster I run the throttle the brighter the light gets. This points to a bad ground but I've already looked at that. You would think that if I really had a problem the battery would be tits up after 2 months of flickering. I haven't checked the condition of the battery but the 4 year old original unit still cranks the motor over smartly. My next foray into the electrical bowels of this machine will be to see if the connectors are satisfactorily connected to the wires. Obviously my so called fixes eliminated the intermittent nature of the charging light. Is there a good connector system capable of handling the power this system puts out without having to invest a lot of money on special tools? Once I get my third bike this weekend, a Centauro, by the way, my California is going to become a donor bike. The regulator on it is the same as the one on the LeMans. Are there any other suggestions as to where to look for this electrical leakage. Other than swapping out known good components for suspected bad ones is there any (simple) way to test the regulator or the alternator?

My speedometer reads the typical 6% high. And while the reset odometer reads spot on within 1/2% the other odometer reads 24% LOW. Can't figure that one out. This unit replaced the original while the bike was still under warranty because the reset odometer locked up.

You were gone? I have a friend who bought a Duc a couple years ago. After spending a LOT of money on a shoddy tune up he hauled it to FBF for a proper tune up and quickly sold it before he needed to throw any more money at it. He bought a Beemer 'Flying Couch' from his father who apparently wasn't large enough to comfrotably handle the behemoth.
