  1. This I would love to see.
  2. It just occurred to me to wonder, Belfast: how did you come across this site?
  3. You wish. I wish. We all wish. Makes good wishing, though!
  4. Told you!
  5. Par contre, my friend, I just bought an immaculate 1996 Jaguar-Daimler with 30,000m on the clock, for very little money, IN FRANCE! Still working on the itinerary! Regards, Bob
  6. Thanks, Jens. This used to be available on the Guzzi 750 site operated by one of our members, I think.
  7. It's a cliche, Ben, but how much is your head worth? Just buy a new helmet, a good one.
  8. You're a b-b-b-b-bad person, Ryan
  9. Yep, crushingly boring, and pink. Obviously a woman thing. I do wonder, sometimes, about the value of the world wide web. I did find a link to the Tenni Register, however! Serge wishes it to be known, here and now, that he has not had and will not have any truck with "Ba-a-a-rbarella lingerie". [want to know? - look for yourself]. No self-respecting cock....etc
  10. Ben, you don't live in the Black Mountain Hills of Dakota, do you? Girlfriend called Magill, first name Lil, but known to everyone as Nancy? This could be the helmet for you. Watch out for guys called Dan, though....
  11. Then drink some immediately: you soon will, even if no-one else does.
  12. Don't spread this around, Belfast, but, well, we did eat one of his progeny a while back. However, since Serge didn't exhibit too many fatherly emotions [ignored them as chicks; earmarked the cockerels among them for an early and messy demise], I didn't feel too badly about it. Cockerels don't have sentiments. Look one carefully in the eye [but watch yours]: they're all raptor! Cue Mr Forrest?
  13. Have you just become an agent?
  14. Exactly!
  15. Thanks for the link, David: I couldn't see it, either. At least it's a well-kept bike! The whole family used to refer to my last, much-loved Ducati bevel drive as "Il Duce", but I'm no fascist. Maybe there's a story behind this one....
  16. Good one, Guy! Serge is roosting right now, but as soon as I open the henhut up in the morning, I'll take him to one side and share this with him. I'm also going to share it with some of my non-V11 buddies.
  17. Old habits die hard, Guy.
  18. IMHO, the key to successful tying-down is to get the bike right down on its suspension, front and rear: then no amount of bouncing over bumps will disturb it. Suspension not fully compressed: each bump will loosen the straps. Also, always triangulate the ties, front to rear and vice-versa. But you probably know all this.
  19. There you go. It's been raining [although mild] here for about a week, now.
  20. On ye olde 750S3 I run a 3.25 front and a 4.10 rear [old equivalent 3.50; new equivalents of both 100 and 110, I think] as per original specs. Both ye olde Dunlope TT100s. When I first got the bike it had 4.10s on both rims: it's much better with the smaller front tyre. In my experience, going oversize on any bike is invariably a retrograde step. I run original sizes [or the nearest, low-profile equivalents] for featherbed frames on my Triton, but use modern, rubber and tread pattern. Result: pin-sharp cycle. Modern, soft rubber: yes. Oversize: no! Serge agrees.
  21. Things I miss about Britain: British bike mates Draft bitter. Er...., that's it. Having said that, I would have the Triumph over anything Japanese, anyday. I owned and toured on a Hinckley 900 Triumph for ten years, during which time it never gave me a moment's bother.......it was just that when I wanted to grin a lot while riding, I got on my Guzzi or something older, equally cantankerous and equally characterful.
  22. Ben, you probably already know this but some helmet materials suffer structural disintegration, which isn't always visible, when solvents are used on them: be careful; you could end up with a pretty helmet which will shatter at first impact!
  23. Nor here. Took my bloody Triton to bits to fettle it two days ago and it's still in bits because I can't get anything outside and out of the way to work on it: it's persisting it down. Oh sorry. I thought for a moment this was what's your weather like and it's what time is it. What a blunder!
