never EVER compair ya BMW to a Guzzi, ya just cant what were how HA?

Shit no man, ya gota harp on to me... sencors are a issue ie: the one on the crossove has been hacked off, the air box one is hanging in the brezze so Id hate to think what the diagnosit would show up. relays, ecu, coils, leads etc have all been swaped of my V11... if it was ecu or relay it would show issues on both sides, the issue is defnitly just the left pot. this petcock fuse you speak of... what is that?
-
Hey man, its like this, I think... the bikes got an issue deep down, previous owners have tried to cover this up and have to a point by re tuning to a degree, eg: nuts bolts, screws all show signs of miss handling like the TPS screws munted they are, the tps was out so I reset it as it should like ballance of the TB's the valve clearances were more than twice what they should have been... what this has done is actually make the bike worse, but it has pointed more to the 'real' issue. Having ridden the bike between every change I can say the bad mis at 5-6000rpm which would nearly throu you over the frount has gone but it is worse down low. I agree it does go like a shower of shit, seems quicker than my v11, but this could just seem like it due to the up right position un like mine, and or the more open pipes and lack of air box. Now remembering this bike for some reason has had a new cam and asoated bits replaced, I can only think due to a oil loss, is there more damage that was not picked up on... there is a leaking head gasget, every thing I touch on it is loose ie manifold rubbers, so the head may well not be tight enough. IMO at this point there is damage to the intake valve, of course I could be talking out a hole in my arse... I duno LOL, FUCKING GUZZI

the thing is GM... if its been hacked up then its been done extreamly tidely, no signs of cutting grinding and paint looks orgional the red frame thing, you say the subs the same, acepted... i know the red frames main frame is quite different up front thats why I wondered bout the sub? farking Guzzi
-
compression was, 140 left 130 right, yip tried my ecu, coils leads in it... no change
-
Mine is exactly the same as the nero corsa and i have a pc545 oddysey battery fitted. They are all the same (i think) hey guys... as above I questioned the batary mounts missing but look the frame is way different note the tube each side of the tool kit, not in the cafe, note the relay mounts on there side in the cafe upright on mine, note the missing brake resovar... Im honestly thinking the sub frame is of a earler V11? of course none of this helps with the eratic backfiring.
-
yeah... forgot about that, ok so both are 04 V11's how can or why are the sub frames so different? Jen... were is your rear brake fluid kept, it seems to be missing?

2003 was the last LeMans same as the Cafe sport, however in NZ they weren regestered till 04-05, clasing them as a 05, but they aint only ONE V11 relised in 05, the mysterios Secra R I was fully joking LOL

all awesome info ta... sorted most still have an issue but it has been narrowed down, have started a new thread please follow it and help out if you can, it starts with a video I took today of the problem. http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=18638

as followed on from thread http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=18557&hl= Ill start fresh as most has been covered to date on that thread great info. But now we have a new issue, it has been narroed down to the left side the following has been done: valve clearance ECU coils HT leads relays TBS TB ballance Now as I have issues with you tube ill here is a link to a video on my facebook page, please watch it and pass on your thoughts, note the excess fuel being throughen out and when the back fire happens the shinie thing around the buterfly is actuall flame in the TB https://www.facebook.com/darryl.dawson.54?ref=tn_tnmn or https://www.facebook.com/groups/327216784009013/

Update... went to a mates today and we checked the TPS and balanced the TB's, bote out but not by a lot, and now its running worse. What we did find is a serious miss on the left side back firing through the exhaust and carb/TB reguardless of revs ie: 2000rpm to 5000rpm tomorow Ill swap coils and try my ecu in it, any other ideas guys?

any glass worker should be able to cut you a new lense to suit, as long as you can fit it... whats this bezel you talk of?
-
By electric petcock, are you refering to all V11? just that I asume those wires you speak of are for the fuel light and that the fuel shut off was the plastit joiners ie will only flow if conected, surley ya dont need power for the fuel to flow? true, happened to mine and know of another that is blocked and wont clear

FARK OFF... them poofs only use HD brand oil, like ther arseless chapps and fingerless gloves... HD oil dosnt state what grede it is nor dino of syn, wankers ;-) havent seen it for a while in NZ, used to run Ams in my CX turbo, top notch shit but IMO to flash for a Guzzi ... ohh na the OPer is Lancashire that be in Pongo land Mr south Boltamore, shit now I have BTO ringing in me head...

Agip is now ENI, still get the racing 5/40, seen it last weekend but went for the 10/40 semi syn as Im not a big believer in a full syn in our big bore twin banger air heads, only used full syn in my CX5 turbo, the new Agip or ENI is called 'Ride' aint seen a full syn over 40 here docc, any 20/50 is usually a dino oil also aceptable in our old bikes, but with the newer v11 over 1000 and 1st 1100's with there newer plastic cased bearings or what ever they have a lighter semi oil is beter in my books, not that I know shit
