  3. Only ever ran M3 on the front and Z6 on the rear... just fitted up a pair of Z8's so far no issues. will stay tuned to the thread

I have no idea what Chuck said either? what I said is a black rubber ring is a black rubber ring, all the brands named are black rubber rings all as good as each other (cos no one has mentioned chang chin or similer) so its in the head as to wht you ride on, and that is why I ride on Metzler... cos my head is happier, not cos they are any better than the next tyre. So to answer the opening poster, put what you are most comfortable with on and ride that farking thing.

  7. round n black mate... they work well ie all tyre's work dont they? personal choice as said above, Metzler Z8 (sport tour) for me, over winter a M3 (sport compound) on the front.
  8. shit man ya have the oil... use it IMO I wouldnt use a synthetic oil in a Guzzi if I had to buy it, a semi is fine. never heard of a filter unwinding, if it happened then some on shouldent have been farking with the bike to start with and what if the hose clip comes loose?. most add a molly slip to the box and diff, I never have, never noticed any differance. Other than what ya have said, tappit clearance check all else if going well leave alone.

  10. Guinness tuning i was wrong apparently it was only 139 bhp! Guinness foreign extra stout would give it 141 hp - I think it has Italian hops .... but a Italian wouldnt drink their beer warm...

  12. as does mine, all this being new info for me thanks to a recent thread I started about the over flow being blocked. I have a hose on the over flow but not the breather (was the other way round) I will sort one out for each... soon So the valve that this thread refers to is on the fuel line right? cos that would be the only way you would stop gas spilling in a tip over? The way ya all talk its in the vent line which if blocked of only stops air getting into the tank to help petrol to depart?
  13. na my gas tank vent is just a nipple under the tank, it goes no were, so yeah all makes sence that I dont have one and it must be a US emisions thing
  14. hang on... whats all this tip over no suck talk all about? I cant see any thing on my 04 V11 and if its on the right injector hows that help or cause the tank to not allow air in? surley if a tank presurises so bad it sucks its self in the injectors wone get any fuel?

  21. Dun'o looked like a dusty past, 7yrs of crap I guess todays hadent gone hard like the 1st clean out, so Im thinking it washed down from my clean out the other day.
  22. bloody hell... so went to a bike rally yesterday and on return passed through a meteor shower of bugs, so just washed the thing and figgered lift the cap and check out that nice dry filler... NAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaa... water flooded in the tank as I opened it *sigh* So off with the tank and yip the over flow nipple was blocked again, wasnt much but was enough so I drilled it out from a 3mm to a 4mm lets see if that helps.
  23. Mine was blocked at the nipple under the tank (no hose on it) once I cleared it out I poured a little petrol down from the filler, it ran out the over flow very fast (now with a hose on it)

  25. yeah at the top it was the exit I was unsure off. I;m guessing the pissed Iti that asembled my bike forgot about one line... I would have thought fuel out of the breather is rear, I mean its for air to get in so petrol can get out... but ya right best to have both piped down.
