2004 (a spare tranny from a parted Nero Corsa that mysteriously arrived at my house one day) - this preselector was the same as the 2003, but added the "banana" reinforcement plate. I installed this one on the LeMans, which is off enjoying Arizona with her new owner. yooooo... scud do tell more what happened to this nero?

wow... shit missed this thread by ohhhh 21 pages... ill try and catch up soon, but in the mean time did we figger out why its only the last of the V11's that break springs??? seems ya beg about 30k to a spring im on my 3rd now... why not just use a spring from an early 6spd ???
-
bit slow seeing the thread... hey look thos for and against have good reasons for there choice. Ok, its not a good idea to remove the air box its design is the best thing for the engine.. however if you spend the time there is a chance you can get the bike running beter than it ever has. With the help from Marty my bike runs incredibly beter than it did out of the create, and I rode it for 65000k befor doing the mods, this includes remapping and re positing the air temp censor a must to keep... now a reason it all worked so well is due to like kiwi roy did the factory velocity stacks. see my photos in the link Marty posted on pg1 good luck and expect to be troubled by it till ya get it right

looks lovely n clean man, my 1100 sport had an access hole but not the V11... you doing the clutch slave seal? been there done that
-
ohh, bit of a thread dredge guys... and think thers a few posts missing, bikes running best it ever has with pods and large pipe... issue was running to lean has since day one, sorted by remapping.
-
anything done to the airbox will proberly make it worse yours dosnt really sound much differant to any other V11, It just sounds like the typical lean area that the emision nazis inflict on maufactures, try raising the CO trim to +50 then drop it back till ya happy... other wise yes remap, remember with your guzzidiag you can save the existing map
-
yip easy as on GuzzDiag... I run +22 but am allready remaped richer, so stock ECU +50 no worries. Now if you want to re map yam350 look into Meinolf's tricks I aint ever looking back. ps yam350 used to race a 350LC awesome bikes but worth so much these days.

ok, had the comment there wasnt enough lengths of video to get the real idea of secenery as seen from the belly of a 1200 sport... so heres the full 20mins of the crown range from Cardrona to the summit (were I catch up and pass) this section is smooth flowing the decent is tight and slow 1st gear round the hairpins... road decends into Queeenstown.
-
LOL 0cc huh 91 hp so thats bloody good power per litre now... very nice example of the nero, love the mistrals... Id have it, I have 70k on mine now, looks a bit diferent tho (well for now easly returned to stock)
-
68... we pride our selves on safe riding, be it at speed... no need to cross the fog or center lines, tho the crown range looks a bit dodgy with all the passing but visability is good and its not as fast as it looks. nice Rosso mines a Nero, have you ever seen a nero in the UK?
-
just a wee tease for you overseas types, note the damage to the Kaikoura coast from yet another earthquake... south Canterbury... The Beaumont video is of the west coast and deep south.
-
fark knows... dont run diesel in my Guzzi ;-)
-
well I did kinda raided the pub over the hill... was the only spine there tho any hooo... I didnt think there was much of a diference with the air temp disconected, but with the new extension shit, started beter, and smoother bit more peaky, could be in my head but im sure its happier with it conected... cheers Marty. I owe ya more
-
Hey thanks heaps Marty, BTW the plug connected very easy and on 2nd try... again I owe ya, hopefully tomorrow Ill be able to give it a road test. docc... WTF are you dribbling about LOL do you mean the Akaroa GP (best done early or during the week) ahhh what did we do?
-
Once again thanks to V11 owner Marty he has assembled this extension for the air censor that used to plug into the airbox. Photos explain all really, ECU is now happy its reading a censor again. Marty did design it to bolt down to the old air box mount as pictured but I was concerned its right in line of the rear wheel splatter, so went up behind the battery, anywere under the tank would trape heat Ideally if it was 100mm longer behind the side of the tail piece or in the case of a LeMans forward of the fairing.

LOL... good to see humor, we are all to serious and stressed these days and its not a good thing. now.. my pink bits were pink when new, now grey as the RED oil has cought the bad dust and traped it in, HOWEVER today I decided to wash them out and from grey they went white... YAY... then I reoiled then and bugger me if they aint bloody pink again LOL... so I over dosed them and id be happy to say they are now a dripping red... so all sorted gentalmen, I thank you for your time and comments. Docc... yes some pink bits are more dangerous than others, you would think we would learn... *sigh* ohhh and Marty tells me he has something for me from you, ya to kind, i will leave it in what ever colour it comes
-
Well, it is pink . . . WHAT you dont like pink bits???
-
pretty... PRETTY... you gay chucky... its rugered, mean, 'the shit' pretty pffft who is this guy ;-)

DD, Would you like me to make you a sensor that can slip into one of the pods. It may run OK now, but as air temps change, the ECU needs to know about it, as the sensor affects both fuel and ignition advance. It will cost you about $2. Then maybe I can get my laptop back. As for comparing fuel trim on your bike with a standard bike, remember that your bike has Meinolf's #42 .BIN file loaded into the ECU, which is lots richer than the Ti ECU. And your bike is free flowing at both ends, so needs lots more fuel than mine or BigBlock's. Air Intake Sensor.jpg well... do you want ya laptop back or not LOL ;-) Yeah hey if ya want that be great thanks... I was just going to chop the wires and extend it under the seat... yoiur idea sounds a bit beter than that and it be worth more than 2 bucks, already owe ya beer or whisky or what is it you drink?
-
yip didnt mention the exhaust, but did say with pods...
-
Im at +20 and no air temp at the mo... best its ever ran, tho with air temp censer in hanging loose as I have pods, the censer was 43* so the bike would lean out, gave me a massive power spike but I was worried it was to lean still. Ill extend the air temp and hide it under the seat when I get a chance... and Marty SHIT sorry forgot I still have ya laptop, im away this weekend at a rally down south please rark me up to return it.
-
staintune all the way from Aussi? Marty pretty much covers it all... im interested tho you say it runs great, is it smooth through 2800-3000rpm? you should find with the TI ECU it will run even beter try it its only 4 wee bolts and a plug
-
hey you guys with air PODs and ECU's do you people have the air temp censer from the air box connected? just been trying to fine tune mine and have found it prefers NOT to have the censor connected, Im thinking as it is between the V that its just to hot and keeps leaning the fuel mix. I noted that the laptop was reading 46* when I conected the puter up less the sencer it read 18 and after a ride went to 23 much lower BUT WTF it shouldnt read anything if its not there weird as but no snuff outs at low revs so all good even tho the puter showe a a air sencor fault.
